Jotaro Kujo: (3/10)

Hey guys! Chapter 1 of my original story is now up on the blog! It’d mean a lot to me if you could check it out; I’ve been pouring my soul into this project and am quite pleased with how it’s coming along.
Chapter 1 introduces us to Seth, a newly hired maid at the world renowned, 5 star hotel Alice of the Midnight Sun. Showing up for work on his first day, he meets some of the staff, but it’s not long before he discovers that this ritzy place isn’t quite what he expected. And an encounter with one of the guests has him questioning more than ever!

Tbh, I can’t picture him being super supportive of them while they’re turned. If they couldn’t take care of themselves, he’d probably just hand them off to one of his associates and instruct them not to talk to him till they’re back to normal. But let’s say, for arguments sake, that that wasn’t an option.
I pity the stand user that did this. Dio is not going to put up with it. Them not being able to feed themselves is also an issue. Dio doesn’t want to get any part of his hands near their slimy, spitty mouths, so he ends up feeding them baby food with one of those super long-handled spoons. It doesn’t matter: kids are messy, and he’s bound to get dirty anyway. Bonus points if they throw up right on his ugly SDC outfit! By the time the ‘magic’ has almost worn off, Dio is reluctantly colouring pictures across the tiny plastic baby-table from them and resigning himself to his fate. He’s scowling on the outside, but on the inside he’s thinking that it’s not so bad to just colour for a little bit. I mean, he colours everything in apocalyptic blood-reds and fire-oranges with lots of added detail of him killing people, but hey, everyone’s got their own unique art style!
Prologue
The north is the land of seasons of day and night rather than summer and winter. For as long as those who came before us remember, the earth has been tilted such that the Arctic phases through intense periods of winter darkness and summer brilliance. But before there were humans, things were different. The earth was different. The tilt we came to know did not exist, and in the land that would become Alaska, days and nights passed with nothing to distinguish them from the nights and days of anywhere else.
Curiously, as humanity came to be, our earliest ancestors gathered as if drawn to a cold, desolate region on earth. And with them, they brought the midnight sun. The earth tilted.
Today, a hotel stands on the hallowed ground discovered by our ancestors. If you search archives and records, eventually you will find the earliest mention of the name ‘Alice of the Midnight Sun’ dating back to an inn founded by Gavrie du Sol Minuit, and named after his daughter, Alice. Before Gavrie there were other innkeepers, other stories, but it was The Alice that held its own against time.
Thanks to the gold rush, Alice of the Midnight Sun grew rich on prospectors’ money. The land surrounding the hotel is now known as Anchorage, Alaska. Thousands of people pass through the hotel’s tall, gilded doors each year, unaware of the magic surrounding them. But dig deeper, ask any of the hotel’s staff: there’s much more to The Alice than you’d suspect.
Here’s a bit more information on that huge project I’ve been mentioning!
This is the prologue to an original, chapter-a-month story about a hotel not quite anchored in reality. It follows Seth, a maid, as he is introduced and comes to know the Alice and its numerous quirks. The Alice of the Midnight Sun is a magical place and it’s been so incredibly fun planning and putting it together thus far, and we’re only going up from here! Look forward to a huge cast of diverse and LGBT characters bringing to life this mysterious and welcoming place.
