@hammaada-blog
Thanks to Jess’s invaluable insight I finally have Katashi’s bio done ( complete with his bastory ). Feel free check it out here if you want!
hammaada liked for a starter
“Hey. Where do you think you’re going? There’s no need for rounds. Lethal or otherwise. I can get her in myself.”
“I’m going to do my job. There’s a two-ton lizard over there having a temper tantrum so I don’t think a dino whisperer act is going to help and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. ”
“Meteorologists forecasted a thunderstorm tonight. That’s the closest thing I can come up with as to why they’re jittery.” She recently introduced an adolescent group to Gallimimus Valley, and they were still getting used to the new scents, sounds of their environment. It’s not a solid explanation, but it’s the only thing that makes sense to her. “Either that or they’ve figured out what whiskey is, and they’re having a party while we’re not looking.” Jo smiles at him, warm gust of wind blowing her hair awry and she brushes it away with her hand. . “What about you? Can’t sleep?”
Hamada nodded quietly at her explanation and grunted softly in agreement. Animals usually could tell when a storm was coming, it made sense that these dinosaurs might share that talent.
When she voiced the second option, the commander couldn’t restrain the laughed that came from him. It was a short sound, but deep and sincere. Even after the laugh faded, an amused smile lingered on his lips.
“That’s an option too.”
Katashi shifted his feet slightly and adjusted his gear, keeping his taser rifle lowered and the safety on. All signs showed that it was just another quiet night, so while he was still sufficiently vigilant, he saw no need to act on edge.
“Yes, I suppose so. Usually, the green recruits take this duty, but I volunteered. I caught a couple looks in the office, but they didn’t question it.”
Fun fact that I learned yesterday, Jake Johnson and Brian Tee were on the same episode of Lie To Me a while back.
❛ that’s a good job. as long as you do it nicely. ❜
“We’re as nice as we can be, but our priority is to protect the human population. We always start off with non-lethal weapons, but if necessary we will start using live ammunition. Fortunately, we’ve rarely had to resort to that.”
I’m hoping now that there’s an HD version of Jurassic World out there Katashi will be included in some things.
“She’s just PROTECTING her baby!”
“yeah, well … so am I.”
i am so happy that i made these icons
‘ …interesting. yeah. that’s one way to put it. ’
“He can be difficult, I know. But he’s a good soldier.”
Me as hell
Reasons I can never go to the pet expo…
That’s so me it hurts.
Jo startled at the sound of her name, turning around. She was too used to being called ‘Ms. Tyler,’ or even the occasional (yet incorrect) ‘Dr.Tyler.’ Above all, she was especially unused to her name on the lips of Katashi Hamada. Jo always thought the man was too stoic, serious given his career with Jurassic World’s ACU. However, as of late he was doing a good job at proving her wrong. They kept meeting in unexpected circumstances – like now, for example– and making small talk that would often follow with comfortable silence. Not that she was keeping track or anything. It was just always nice to have someone you could talk to. A friend, if that’s what he possibly considered her.
“Park operations said that the parasaurolophuses were making a lot of noise down in the valley. I went in to check on them.” She explained. “Nothing seemed amiss but you never know until you see for yourself.”
Katashi finally came up beside her and nodded as she explained what she was doing out here. His eyes carefully scanned the valley and he listened intently for anything that seemed out of place. After a moment, he had to agree with Jo’s conclusion. Everything seemed fine. It was a normal night in the park, or as normal as a zoo filled with prehistoric creatures could be. As far as he knew there were no assets out of containment and none of the natural fauna would dare mess with the dinosaurs.
“Have you figured out what has them riled up?”
reblog this post if you are an active rp blog for the jurassic franchise.
Potential verse things under the cut. Feel free to read if you want. Mostly it’s me getting long winded. Half of it probably doesn’t make sense. I’m sorry in advance if you choose to read it.
I started writing an outline for that survived verse for Katashi and before I started I already knew that I didn’t want him getting out without a scratch but what I didn’t expect is that I’d start thinking about him being stranded on Isla Nublar. Just for a minute one single minute stop looking at me like I’m nuts ( I am a little so don’t feel bad it’s a natural reaction ) and imagine a single human on an island of prehistoric war machines A man who has seen war and has learned to fight and kill all across the globe now faces creatures who have millions of years worth of evolution to turn them into nearly invincible juggernauts. Armed only with the tech he could salvage, weapons from an era of warfare that faded into the history books centuries ago, and the skills he’s honed from over a lifetime of training. He’s not looking to kill the creatures he’s trapped with. He’s just trying to survive.
