i love how the other muses appeared to lestat through painful memories but louis was there. he was right there in front of him, sitting in the crowd, looking at him. louis in his wedding outfit with his green vampire eyes, looking like he did after his turning.

"Forcing Lestat to talk to me via a lawsuit" is honestly pretty on brand for Mr. "Let me talk shit about my ex to this drugged-out journalist I met at a bar in the hopes my ex finds out about it, rather than literally any other form of communication available in 1973"

While Louis fell into story telling, Lestat is more a collection of anecdotes told at a party, both have a level of fabrication. Louis believes he's telling a great epic where he is a tortured hero experiencing highs and lows, he tells it like he's at the end of the story as the fully realised man not acknowledging that he is still capable of development. Lestat is part of the couple you saw arguing outside the bar who heard you talking about the argument and has come over to "set the record straight", he's not necessarily lying to make himself look good (or so he says) but he's inside the bar now and drunk already so the story is messy

I think it's funny how the marketing for tvl was like "the music is awesome! Rock star lestat" and then the first episode everyone, including lestat, is like "this shit is middling to bad"

It’s hilarious to me that so much of the TVL promo has been like “What if Lestat was the coolest guy in the world?” And then this new teaser is like “I mean, he’s not. But could you imagine?”

Daniel Molloy will always be repeating an out of context seemingly innocuous but actually very hard hitting question

I also don’t like the idea that this season we’re gonna see the “real” Lestat.

We’re seeing Lestat’s perspective of the world and himself but people can be many things and be perceived many ways by different people even if who they are hasn’t changed.

And I think we DID see flashes of the real Lestat in Louis’s story it’s just biased and packaged differently because of his narration style and because that’s the nature of storytelling and life.

Devil’s Minion might already be canon at the time of the auction scene. We might be there. That’s so surreal to think about.

Does Louis know? What does he think of it? Does he care? He’s currently not talking to either of them so they’re probably perfect for each other in his mind.

And where is Daniel? Outside in the car with the window cracked open so he doesn’t suffocate? Does Louis know Armand keeps his companion in a hot car?

guys, just because lestat is finally telling his side of the story (and that from his viewpoint things might not be exactly how louis tells it, because they're different people who view the world in different ways due to the very different ways they've lived their human lives) doesn't mean that louis was lying in his interviews.

i really need y'all to understand that.

If we hear Armand call Daniel "beloved" this season, I might just collapse. I'm not necessarily counting on it but, if it happens, I will need to take a leave of absence from work and go to a spa by the sea like they did in 19th century English novels.
