Pan!Pearl mentioned being hit by a car and so now my theory is that the human world is our modern world, but these guys have all been dead for so long and Pearl is just a random human woman from australia from the present being flung into this ancient greek arena. I can’t stop thinking about pantheon as a video game, so I’ve mentally been giving characters idle animations. So far i have

Scott: dramatic yawn before falling back/sitting on a cloud like its a chaise

Pyro: glancing around, before taking off his helmet and rubbing away a smudge (also works for his shield)

Cleo: huffs a sigh before sitting on the ground and playing her flute

Shelby: does a full spin, before losing her footing and stumbling and catching herself

Abolish: scuffs his foot on the ground before pulling out his sword and shining it

Idfk how to animate, but if i could, trust this would be the first thing i work on

You know those small inconsistencies with Minecraft roleplay - because it's improv? And most of the time you ignore 'em cus it doesn't matter?

Well if the reason for Scott's long name was that his parents were arguing and couldn't pick a name... Then how the hell is he the third of his name!

They're arguing, they're not gonna just pick a random ancestor and leave it there (although that is probably canonically what happened)

I have a funnier idea.

Scott's the third son. The first son was wanted, and proudly named Scott Antonius Mattheos Pagona Pavlos.

Then the boy died in childhood (happened a lot), and the second son was named in honour of his dead brother.

Then the third son appears, and whether son number 2 died, or whether his parents were just hedging their bets (which is funnier) Scott gets named exactly the same.

This is my reasoning now and I'm sticking with it.
