UPDATE: OH MY GOD THIS GROUP OF GUYS WALKED OUT OF CLASS AND STARTED FREAKING OUT OVER THE FACT THAT THERE WERE CHIPS THERE…SO ONE OF THEM STARTED HITTING THE MACHINE TO GET THEM AND THE SECRETARY WHO TRIED TO HELP ME GET MY CHIPS WALKED OVER AND THE GUY ASKED HER WHO BOUGHT THEM AND SHE SAID ‘THAT GIRL’. so he looked over, pointed at me, and yelled, across the whole lobby (which is huge btw) “I GOTCHYU GURL”

I feel as if I have lost someone I love. And you know what? I have. I love the Harry Potter books for many reasons. But the first reason I love them is because they made me love to read. As a kid, I hated reading with the biggest passion. And then I got my hands on the Harry Potter books, and everything changed. I had never looked at characters from a book as family, but they were. I worried when they decided to make them into a movie. These characters were family, what if whoever got the role to play them was terrible? What if the movies ruined my love of the books? Thankfully, that never ever happened. Thanks in part to Alan Rickman, a man who took a character I was fascinated with, and brought him to life. Even in my mind, when I would try to picture him as live action, my imagination fell short. Alan Rickman turned a character, that I didn’t much care for in the books, to one of my favorite characters in the movies. He made me want to read the books again, this time seeing it from Snape side. He opened my imagination to a world and character I thought I knew so well. Thank you sir, you’ll never know the joy you brought this kid.
