EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING BY NICOLA YOON It took me freaking forever to actually read it and jump on the wagon, but I'm so glad I did! Everything, Everything was honestly so pure and lovely and it made my little heart so happy. If you haven't read this yet, I highly recommend it. It's really cute and filled with little doodles and emails that give it a little dimension. The book itself and its writing style has so much character and I love it! So the story follows a girl named Madeline Whittier, who has Severe Combined Immunodeficiency or SCID, which basically means she gets super sick when presented with a number of triggers. She's spent essentially her whole life in her house with her mom and nurse, and had grown used to the routine she developed. UNTIL a new family moved in next door. Then she began talking to her new neighbor, Olly, and her perspective on how she's living her life starts to change. This is a book that I would 100% recommend to anyone who's in a rut. I say this because I was in a rut when I read it, and it gave me the "kick in the butt" I needed to get an excitement for the world again. It's the perfect book for someone who needs a little inspiration to not fear life and all that it encompasses. It had me feeling ready to go on an adventure and explore and skydive and all of that. Everything, Everything had me really thinking afterwards about what really matters. It's that one book everyone needs to get motivated and realize that letting life slip away is a waste.
