Kitty nodded as she looked back at her tea. “I guess that makes sense,” she muttered to herself, “Sorry. I know I should have probably told someone but….after I saw the news, I panicked.”
"That's understandable, Kitty," he spoke calmly, "after everything, I would think anyone who endured what you did would feel much the same. But even then, it's not safe for anyone to run off on their own. Especially when they don't tell anyone where they're going or where they are."

“Should I even ask what it is you’re doing outside of the school after curfew?” Hank asked. With all of the problems downtown they had instated the curfew to make sure their students remained safe and out of harm’s way.

oh right. the whole curfew thing. well that shouldn’t count for her seeing she was to be a full fledged x-men member soon enough. she was taking inciative here in helping out! “shhh shhh shh!” she said grabbing his hand to pull him behind the crates to hide. the two of them certainly stood out here. “i was on my way back to the school when i ran into these guys and i heard them talking about ‘doing a job’ and 'getting rid of the merchandise quick’ "she said making exaggerated air quotes. "i figured find out what was going on was more important than a curfew, right?”
Hank grunted only slightly as she pulled him behind the boxes. His eyes peered around to spot the men and he sighed rather heavily. "As admirable as your want to do good is, going out on your own is reckless. Especially with everything going on right now. We should leave. Now."
Logan found a smile at this. “Yeah, yeah it does, have fun bub.” He allowed it, it wasn’t a fight he wanted to have. “And- yeah no forget it.” He said, stopping himself before starting to be cheesy and thank the man.
"You say this like I haven't already put thought into what I would say if you ever popped the question to Ororo," he teased, "it's not like I haven't had five years to prepare."
Logan shared a concerned look, he wasn’t ready for that kind of stuff. “Yeah… it would make sense…” Plus seeing how happy Ororo was about all of this, Logan couldn’t stop her. “I guess I have to ask then.” A sigh escaped his lips. “Will you be my best man?”
Hank hummed in approval and nodded, getting ready to take a sip of his tea but stopping as Logan asked his own question. "I would be honored to be your best man, Logan. Does this mean I get to host you a bachelor party and embarrass you in a speech?"

“Oh, Jean,” he sighed with a gentle shake of his head, “Charles is not afraid of you. He only wants to help. That’s all he’s ever wanted for all of us.”

Jean smiled a bit. “I must admit I don’t feel the diftference anymore sometimes. His help feels like …” she sighed. “Feels like a trap sometimes. “
Hank breathed his sigh through his nose. "I can understand how it may feel that way sometimes."

Hank knew that the news would have some adverse effects on a few students and despite not being being a doctor in matters of the mind like Charles or Jean, he felt it necessary to check on his colleagues. However when he went to find Kitty she was nowhere to be found. The only lead he had gotten was that a student had watched her leave in a cab. So after asking Charles if he could use Cerebro to find her, he had a location and made his way to the cafe in question. He was relieved, to say the least, to see her unharmed, albeit he could tell from his place in the door how she seemed on edge. “You know it’s rude to run off without saying goodbye,” Hank greeted as he approached her before sitting down across from her, “You had a few of us worried, running off like that.”

Kitty wasn’t sure who the first person would be to come find her after she ran from the Institute. She almost thought that after she texted Logan it probably would be Ororo or Jean, but when she heard Hank’s voice, she realized she probably should have expected him. She glanced up at him through the tops of her eyes before averting her gaze back to her tea. “I just needed to get away,” she muttered, a bit more ashamed now after Logan had texted her and told her she was an idiot. “Did Logan tell you?”
"He didn't have to," he replied very simply, leaning forward and folding his hands on the table in front of him, "Charles used Cerebro to find you after no one could find you."

“Yeah, well thanks bub’.” He replied keeping the same soft smile he had. “And no idea, I guess it will be always sooner than what I’m expecting.” He sighed. “One ceremony at the time.
"Knowing Ororo, you're probably right. Perhaps you should prepare yourself for a short engagement, Logan. Your fiance is quite the steadfast woman and it would not surprise me if she has everything ready and planned in a week."

Hank gently set his cup down, all while keeping his eyes on Logan. Upon his admission the corners of his lips pulled into a smile. “Took you long enough. I take it that she said yes?”

He had to tell someone, he was literally freaking out about it. So when those two students left the common kitchen of the institute and that Logan was left alone with Hank, he simply said after a moment of silence. “I asked her.” He offered with no context whatsoever, not even looking at his blue friend.

Hank was always glad when Logan came to visit. He didn’t hide it - he missed having his old friend around. He understood why Logan wasn’t around as much but that didn’t mean that Hank liked it. But he was always glad for the visits. He was taking a sip of his coffee when the students left and paused with the cup at his lips while he turned his attention to his old friend. “You did what now?”

Ever since she saw he news, Kitty felt the need to escape. To run. To do something - anything to make sure that that monster never found her again. At first she had locked herself in her room at the Institute but she felt trapped. She couldn’t escape there if she needed to and she it wasn’t like he didn’t know that would be the first place to find her. She messaged Logan, telling him she needed to get away before packing an overnight bag and leaving. She wasn’t sure where she was going to go but she needed to be somewhere. Somewhere where she could calm herself before she went back to the Institute. Her path led her to a cafe, a warm cup of tea between her hands although she hadn’t touched it. She just stared at it while occasionally glancing at her phone laying next to her, waiting to see if Logan had answered her.

How many times had she lied about this. Not really to avoid any worry, but she didn’t want to go back to testing and testing again. She swallowed and her silence said more than the words that were meant as answer. “It’s part of who I am I suppose”

Hank narrowed his gaze as he noticed how she winced and seemed to try and steady herself. “Are they becoming more frequent?” he asked, clearly concerned.

sneaking around with pink hair and large fairy wings was not exactly an easy task. however so far she had managed to stay out of sight of the group she had been following who just moved down the alleyway. ducking behind a series of large crates, the young fairy poked her head out ever so slightly to catch a glimpse of what was happening down the alleyway. she had followed a group of men after overhearing their conversations and none of it sounded good.
taking out a small notebook from her bag, she began scribbling down small notes of what she overheard and what they were doing. her mind distracted for nearly a moment seemed to be enough time for someone to join alongside of her. startled she jumped back slightly. “what are you doing?” her voice a harsh whisper. “i am trying to be sneaky here!! you nearly gave me a heart attack.”
