Flora walked out of the conference room of her last meeting feeling tired but distantly pleased by everything sheâd managed to wrangle from the other party without them realizing. For all that working for her familyâs business wasnât what she dreamed of doing, sheâd learned to do it well. At the very least, Flora had a success to report back to her father.Â
She didnât feel like going home yet, though. Rather than take advantage of the business centerâs floo, she elected to walk along Diagon. There were various cafes and restaurants along the alley, but Flora wanted a drink from somewhere where she wasnât likely to run into a business contact or an associate of her fatherâs. She spotted the aging sign to the Leaky Cauldron and something about the relative anonymity of the old, dark bar called to her.Â
Dodging around a pack of drunk wizards, Flora snagged a seat at the bar, crossing her legs and brushing her hair over her shoulder. She let out a quiet breath, relaxing as much as she ever could in public. Looking up at the bartender when spoken to, Flora put on a polite smile, eyes dancing along the bottles on the shelf for anything that sounded good. âGood evening,â she said. âCould I request a Vesper martini?âÂ
Hannah liked the Leaky Cauldron more than sheâd ever admit to anyone else. She found it sort of like home now that sheâd worked there for almost a year. Sheâd grown to become familiar with the people who came in often. Sheâd even learned a couple of recipes from talking to some of the witches that visited. She learned others drink orders and it was just somewhere that she felt in her element. Of course, she wanted to eventually go into healing, but that was a step outside of her comfort zone. She doubted herself. At the Leaky, she knew she could do her job.Â
The blonde smiled at the woman who had sat down in front of her and she waited for her drink order with patience. When Flora made the request, Hannah replied, âExcellent choice. Give me one second.â The blonde grabbed the things that she would need and she made the drink. Passing it to Flora, Hannah smiled, âHere you go.âÂ
