This is a walk which I did at the weekend (a few more photos to follow). The walk began in ilkley and crossed 11 miles of beautiful Yorkshire countryside heading through Addingham and up to the Beamsley beacon, across the moors and back to ilkley

Absolutely fantastic evening at the timble inn just outside otley.
This place is fab really cosy pub with fantastic cheerful and attentive staff. The decor alone is a feast for the eyes with rooms dimly lit and candles flickering at each table. Big comfy cushions galore!!
And next comes the food. I had for starters poached pear and goats cheese Bon bons topped with caramelised walnuts which was superb the goats cheese had a lovely crispy fried outside.
I was so excited by my main meal I forgot to take a photo! Venison, fondent potato, green beans carrot and red cabbage a very rich sauce. Initially I didn’t think there was much on the plate but can honestly say anymore would have been left and wasted it turned out to be the perfect amount. This was my first time eating deer and I thought it was lovely.
Pudding was rich chocolate brownie with ice cream. This was extremely rich but again delicious any more would have simply been too much.
I would definitely recommend the timble inn for a meal and can already hear the discussions of when we will be heading back for another meal. I think the fact that it is so far afield yet still pulling in a lot of people for an evening meal is simply a testament to how fantastic this place is!!!
This was my weekend walk from oxenhope to howarth and back and was absolutely great, the scenery was fab. We went past the house used in the railway children, which now has an extension. We then went on to go past the bronte house, museum and the church heading back to the beautiful oxenhope. Some great views and scenery
Oxenhope train station, this was the start and end point of today's walk
The difference between cycling to work on a morning and then cycling home at night
This poor little foal is all alone tethered up in s field with no shelter it’s really cute I don’t know how old a foal should be to leave its mother but I can’t help but feel that this little guy is too young to be alone!!
The ride home picture is pretty much the same place I took the photo earlier in the day and all you can see is my bike light lol
i can’t tell if this foal is old enough to be weaned, but like… are those chains?? can it reach food and water?
It can reach water and I'm making sure it is full and filled from a nearby stream , it has no hay but plenty of grass. I'm certainly not a horse expert so keeping an eye on it at the moment
No matter where I am, where I am walking or what I am wearing as soon as beyonce crazy in love comes on I start walking with a more diva attitude like right now.... In trainers and running clothes!!
I've joined a walking group with the use of Meetup this is some of the photos from the nine mile walk from pateley bridge to Brimham rocks and heading back in a circular route. Heading out to Brimham rocks was a long constant incline with some really steep parts basically it was 5 miles of going up. Luckily that meant coming back was a variation of 4 miles of flats and downhill sections....... Phew!!!!
After a rather busy Saturday consisting of dog walks and vintage clothes shopping it was time to head out to fountains abbey for the traditional lit up display
Omg am I so happy!! I sent this away to be fixed on Thursday and got it back on Saturday!! I did insanity yesterday and Sunday and this was today's workout there's no two ways about it really is insane but so good, I can defo feel myself getting stronger already and can't wait to do the fitness test at the end of this week just to see the change!! I really want to build on my upper body strength as that for me is non existent a week ago I couldn't go a push up now I'm doing four as part of the plyomeytic circuit workout..... I have never sweated so much in my life!!!
5 posts!
albeit its taken me a bloody long time. From now on ill be making much more of an effort as i will have much more to talk about!!
Insanity
I've been doing insanity this week, and it is the most intense thing i have ever done and although at some points i was physically sticking up ones at Shaun T in the videos i have to say by the end of each one when the sweat was pouring off of every inch of my body i have to say it felt amazing. I couldn't do one push up on Monday but by Friday i was somehow managing to do push ups and almost keep up with everyone on the video. Most importantly I'm enjoying it and hoping for some fab results. I'm not necessarily doing for the purposes of getting fit, for me its about getting happy and getting that buzz.
I'm still cycling to an from work and keeping my mornings busy.
On the lifestyle part of my life I begin my new role at the solicitors i work at. I am no longer a secretary for the partner of the firm (who has just left ) i will now be a paralegal which includes having my own clients, going to Court and attending meetings. i can't wait albeit i am of course nervous!!!
I'm crap
Told you I'm a crap blogger!! I'm back however!! I had a bit of an injury crisis as last Monday I stubbed my little toe so hard I actually thought I had either broken it or rebroken my foot so Tuesday was spent in hospital being x rayed. The nurse said she couldn't see a break so I had to persevere through the week walking on it and pushing through the pain. To top it off I got a puncture in my back true and that's about set me on a spiral of losing motivation but now like I said I'm back!! I'm doing insanity and pretty sure it's the workout from hell, I'm still running and cycling just trying to vary it all to keep me motivated!!
Well today started great and then ended pretty flatly, literally!! Went for my run this morning and did intervals a mixture of running sprinting and walking and then cycled to work. Another day doing the 9 - 5 nothing different to any other day, usual office work (I sound like I don't like my job, whereas I actually bloody love it). So there I was going about my usual day eyeing up 5pm so I could do the usual cycle home which I love because I go through an urban farm with some fantastic animals but like I mentioned my day ended flat..... Literally!! A flat tyre!! How/ when did I get a puncture I was absolutely gutted this meant I would have to walk my bike the three miles up a steep hill home and to just rub it in that little bit deeper my walk home is on the upcoming Tour de France route!! Fingers crossed for tomorrow and a hope that my day goes slightly more to plan!!
Time to run
Why?
Why have I decided to begin this blog? In January 2015 I am heading all the way to florida to do the walt disney world half marathon. I'm using this blog as a means to keep me on track and accountable for my training! Training so far is a case of trying to get myself back to my peak and therefore I'm building myself back up to a good, solid 30 minutes of running and then continuing to build from there. At the moment I run three times a week that being Monday, Wednesday and Friday albeit I do cycle a total of 13 miles a day to and from work and that has kept me relatively fit! A bit about me I currently work at a solicitors firm as a legal secretary but as of 1st July I will be a 'paralegal'. I am extremely active, cycling, walking and running and basically trying to be out and about as much as i possibly can to keep me sane from the 9 - 5 office job. I'm hoping to post a blog every couple of days although I cannot lie I have attempted blogs before and have never gone further then the first post. I also can't promise anything exciting, humorous now and again maybe but what I can promise is a lot of moaning about how my legs are aching, about how I'm shattered and about how I want to give up!! Hx
