The history of film in one scene
honestly i never want to hear again about how bisexuals don’t go through any type of struggle cause i had a conversation with a dude who has a boyfriend but my bi-fi went off with him and when i asked him if he was bi or gay the damn STRUGGLE on his face to give me an answer. he didn’t say anything for a bit and then shyly said “bisexuality doesn’t exist” and when i told him it did and explained about my bisexuality and about biphobia he //cried//. We were in the middle of a bar and this grown man was in full on tears in shock yet grateful biphobia was even a thing; going on about how he was always laughed at when he explained how he was attracted to women and men and how he was ostracized from his gay friends for not being gay enough so he denies a very real part of him to feel accepted and if that’s not fucked i don’t know what is. BISEXUALS ARE LGBT. PERIOD. FIGHT ME.

not to sound too millennial here but it annoys me so much when I’m at a restaurant and someone I’m with will complain about the service being slow like buddy pal it’s fine it’s not that important
You didn’t waited 40 minutes for a dinner before haven’t you?
i have but i also have, like, real problems
I waited well over an hour for food once at IHOP, because it kept coming out inedible. We finally asked what was going on, and it turns out that the ONLY cook had been working for 36 hours straight with only a short nap. I ordered the easiest thing to make, tipped the waitress heavily, and sent her back to the cook with a $10 tip for them, too, AFTER watching the 24-hour restaurant close the doors so that they could send the cook home for some rest. Yeah, I’ve waited 40 minutes for my dinner, and I didn’t ask for a discount, we tipped VERY well, and sent the cook our best wishes. If something goes wrong with your restaurant experience, consider that there are real people back there, working under god knows what conditions.
I work as a chef and I get pretty angry when people complain about waiting, or calls having to wait bad service even. Most averege sized resturants have 2-3 chefs on one busy evening shift. And thats on a good day. And I imagine you go out to get a lovely meal prepared for you, and someobe actually has to cook your food, its not like everything is on plates in the fridge ready to reheat in the microwave. And every shift has something bound to go wrong, this creates delay. Same with servers, sometimes they are understaffed and are in the middle of a rush. Their main job is to get orders and serve food, not pander to you. There is always a reason why the food is late. Yeah sometimes its lazy chefs and shitty service. But if you see a resturant where the servers are cobstantly moving between tables and the kitchen, it’s a rush and they are staying on top of it as best they can. Of course have you waited an hour for your food I would personally have offered you some free desert or coffee because its just good service and deserts are easy to crank out. A kitchen is a well oiled machine for the most part, but sometimes there is a jam in that machine and that causes a domino effect that takes a lot of work to recover from during a rush. If you’re at a resturant and the servers are running around but the food is late, trust me we are doing everything we can to get trough orders as fast as we can, we want you to have your meal.
That said if the servers are sitting around, your food come an hour late and super cold, and the server is rude about it, feel free to give them a bad yelp review. But don’t be an ass to hardworking people. "We're busy right now" is a legit excuse for food to be late.
french recipes: if you’re not making this in paris then what’s the point. fuck you
italian recipes: use the left leg meat of a pig from one of three farms in this specific area of tuscany, or from this day my grandmother will begin manifesting physically in your house
american recipes: buy these three cans of stuff and put them in a pan congrats you cooked
This is it. Their relationship. In two gifs.
The “I am a piece of shit and nobody will ever love me” factoid is actually a statistical error. You are actually are fantastic and infinitely worthy of people’s company. That person you used to care about, who taught you to hate yourself by abandoning you, is an outlier and should not have been counted
this is the greatest and most positive use of a meme that i have ever seen.
“Stop turning superheros into social justice warriors.” They’ve always been sjw.
They were created to be social justice warriors
do older generations not get fatalistic humor?? like the other day my friend’s parents were hanging around and we were joking and i was like “well no matter what i can always fling myself off the nearest cliff” and they didn’t laugh then later the mom pulled me aside and was like “maybe you should get some help, sweetie” like stfu?? help? in this economy? i don’t think so, debra
I honestly don’t think they get it as a coping mechanism, they think it’s a cry for help rather than actually helping.
i’d even say it’s past just coping and is also now a category of Stuff Kids Got Used To When No One Was Looking; not everyone using that humor is even covering up something bigger, we just stopped thinking fatalistic = taboo/unspeakable somewhere along the line, and most parents don’t seem to know why or how ~
My boss opened a door and missed me by inches, he said “whoops, almost killed you there!” My result of “Oh, if only.” Led to an awkward end of shift debrief.
This generation shares the same humor as the goddamn Addams Family and the previous generation is the White Sixties Family™ that lives next door and runs away screaming at the end of the episode
I’m reading through my D&D 5E books, and somehow I never noticed these solid gold disclaimers before??
Dungeon Master’s Guide Disclaimer: Wizards of the Coast does not officially endorse the following tactics, which are guaranteed to maximise your enjoyment as a Dungeon Master. First, always keep a straight face and say OK no matter how ludicrous or doomed the players’ plan of action is. Second, no matter what happens, pretend that you intended all along for everything to unfold the way it did. Third, if you’re not sure what to do next, feign illness, end the session early, and plot your next move. When all else fails, roll a bunch of dice behind your screen, study them for a moment with a look of deep concern mixed with regret, let loose a heavy sigh, and announce that Tiamat swoops from the sky and attacks.
Player’s Handbook Disclaimer: Wizards of the Coast is not responsible for the consequences of splitting up the party, sticking appendages in the mouth of a leering green devil face, accepting a dinner invitation from bugbears, storming the feast hall of a hill giant steading, angering a dragon of any variety, or saying yes when the DM asks, “Are you really sure?”

“ Aren’t you a little old to still be smoking Jesse?” “Hanzo, aren’t you a little old for that fucking hair cut?”
Jesse loves Hanzo’s hair cut, he’s just grumpy because it’s the hjolidays. lol

to non-autistic people
no, stimming is not an autistic-specific thing and everyone stims! it’s the intensity and the amount of it that makes it a special characteristic of most autistic people, it’s okay for people without autism to buy stim toys and to say they stim. a lot of trauma victims use stim toys and stim for comfort purposes and it’s not cool to tell them that it’s not “for them”
