i’m not the best artist but i rlly wanted to draw her :3 she’s based off the irl racehorse godetia, who was born in america and was bought and raced in europe mostly in ireland!

she never went to japan but i still made her my pick for an uma :3 bc idc
she (the irl horse) had two gloves, both on the same side (one front, one back) which i will prob add into my design of her uma version sometime in the future
i’m still unsure abt a “theme”, so her design is kind of everywhere, i’m kind of firm abt the color palette bc it matches her jockey’s fit (from most of the available pictures of her & her jockey anyways)
^^ concerning the colors, i briefly considered adding pink from the godetia flower! but i figured that might be a stretch/out of place
i like to think she looks mean/intimidating (and deff can be) but is actually pretty sweet & awkward
she’d be a front runner style horse based off how she raced irl with high power, stamina, + speed being necessary to complete her goals! ++ i don’t think she’d be temperamental, she was a gifted racer from a young age & stuck with it. i think she’d view ireland as more of a homeland than america & maybe in umaverse she starts racing in japan to try and comeback after flopping in america idk 🤷
fun fact: as a four year old, she was returned to the u.s. but failed to win much
native american (pamunkey tribe, via father) + african american (via mother)
chenoa is a name believed to be of algonquian origin meaning “white dove”
^^ her father named her. though the pamunkey language is now extinct, it’s believed to have mixed/been related to algonquian. there are a small amount of attested pamunkey words, including nucksee (daughter) and nikkut (one) — just an interesting fact i wanted to share
chenoa has a younger brother (5) who looks up to her
her and her father can shift into hawks, specifically red tail hawks. she shifts into a partially albino red tail hawk, partially as a manifestation of her name
^^ her brother isn’t old enough to shift, lol
her father has instilled in her a distrust & dislike of vampires. she finds the cullens to be weirdos and tries to avoid them
she’s not 100% approving of jacob either, but he’s better than the cullens. it’s a whole situation when he realizes she can shift (and that she doesn’t shift to a wolf)
her mom + dad moved from va to forks while chenoa was little so she mostly remembers forks as her home
she’s pretty friendly, eager to take others under her wing, fond of kids… she enjoys the freedom that comes from flying when she shifts. she does roller derby also! + competitive, has a piercing gaze.. yuh
danika meyer was turned sometime in the 1880s, during the “wild west” time period in american history. she was actually a part of the rush westwards, and it was after she settled that she got turned
she claims to have been turned by a famous (for the time) singer, whom she fell in love with. she doesn’t speak about his demise. all she has left of him is his guitar
she moved back east to forks after becoming a bit of an urban legend around the west coast (due to moving all around the west for years)
she’s never turned anyone; she has killed many as a result of feeding + has killed other vampires over territorial arguments
she has a beautiful singing voice!
though she is physically young, she tends to mother those she deems younger than her — she wishes she could have kids <\3
her unique vampire power is a result of her magnetism. people offer her job positions, money, favors, and opportunities for free. her victims tend to be willing ones, people who (in the moment) submit entirely to her will and encourage her to suck them dry. she lives a life of ease in this regard.

. . . born to a native american mother and an african american father, winona williams only discovered she was a metahuman during her late twenties. in the middle of being robbed, her powers activated— lasers generated from her eyes, and the assailant was left dead at her feet. she moved to metropolis shortly afterwards, claiming to be chasing better job opportunities.
. . . amongst friends and family, she's known as bubbly, giggly, and playful. she's a relaxed person, and a huge lover of music. she collects cds. it used to be that she'd hit the club every weekend after working 9-5 as a financial advisor. since discovering her powers, she avoids crowded places, scared of accidentally using her powers on someone. she's become withdrawn, at least publicly, sometimes even verging on shy.
. . . in her first months in metropolis, miss williams was hired by a rival company of lexcorp as a personal secretary to their CEO. two years later, when that company gets gutted by lexcorp, lex luthor picks her out to be his own personal flight attendant. later, he reveals his knowledge of her past and offers her a side job as one of his lackeys. a metahuman is only good if they're useful to him, after all.
. . . winona adopts the name redeye as her villainous persona. as redeye, she's quiet and calculated. she gains more control over her powers as lex continues to send her out on personal, under the table missions.
. . . her powers include laser beam generation (from her eyes), increased endurance and durability, little to no need for sleep, increased stamina, and invulnerability to her own lasers. her lasers are more chemical than electrical! they activate when she wants them to and when she's feeling intense emotions (love, stress, hate, etc). winona staring is a surefire way of her lasers activating. after a month of working for him, luthor presented her with glasses that could contain her laser beams (just in case she ever accidentally stares too hard at someone).
. . . underneath her forced, introverted mask is a very bright woman. bright as in educated, but also bright as in warm and fun. though her relationship with lex luthor is complicated, she's grateful to him for her glasses, as they've given her the opportunity to be a bit more social again. she doesn't depend on/trust them completely, but she does talk more after receiving them.
. . . winona is a cis, bisexual woman. she's a cancer rising, leo sun, & scorpio moon. her dad (& some friends) calls her "win-win". her face claim is melanie brown. i imagine her to be like 29-31... she just got a grasp on adulting and now she has to figure out being a metahuman. her voice claim is issa rae as president barbie from barbie (2023).

superman. lex's opponent more than hers. she's hoping to skirt by under the radar— she doesn't know her villain persona's already been noticed by him. it's only a matter of time before a confrontation happens.
lois lane. a reporter who seems to have it out for lex. winona remains neutral on her, though. she admires her fierceness.
eve teschmacher. lex's "girlfriend". it seems to be all for show. winona can't remember a time she's seen them kiss or hold hands. eve is a good friend, despite it all, and loves fun just as much as williams does. they hang out often. sometimes eve asks winona about her and lex; she's not sure how to answer.
jimmy olsen, mr. terrific, & hawkgirl. people she's yet to meet. she has no thoughts on jimmy, and just vaguely remembers mr. terrific & hawkgirl as part of green lantern's goodness gang.
guy gardner (green lantern). that stupid fucking hero she hates. they met once while williams was redeye, out on a mission; they found themselves in a heated argument before she slipped away. they both hold a grudge towards each other, but have yet to interact again.
lex luthor. arrogant boss, unparalleled genius, egotistical brat, and undeniable savior. he's given her a second chance at connection, at having fun again, but only as long as she's useful (and he monitors most of her connections). he flies more often now that she's his flight attendant. still, it's not every day, not with his pocket dimensions. winona wonders what he's really thinking, paying her so handsomely to hand him drinks whenever he flies.
the engineer. she takes pleasure in scaring williams. finds it funny to make her squeak and jump. vaguely a bully, but not really. winona is curious about her, but too intimidated to ask.
ultraman. a man of few words... and thoughts, winona would say. she treats him with kindness and respect, still. even when lex is around, telling her not to baby him, she's kind to him. williams is one of the few people to view him as human.

she's a lot less connected with her native heritage but she's making an effort as an adult to learn & reconnect (which means lots of cute bonding with her mom!)
i’m honestly not even sure how i’ve never made a dc oc before but i’m making one now ^_^ giving her laser beam powers!!! i love heroes who can shoot lasers from their eyes i think it’s so cool every time
