Hello, I'm Han! From June to July 2017 I volunteered with a charity called Think Pacific that works on improving education and sports within young children in rural Fiji Here is my story of fundraising, living in a village in the highlands and becoming part of a Fijian family

Goodbye Hair

As part of my fundraising I had 20″ of hair cut off which was then sent to be made into a wig for a chemo patient!

We held an event at the student union in April. We had a raffle, cake sale and each volunteer had to cycle at least 10 miles! It was a great day and we raised so much for Think Pacific

“Elizabeth”

Description:  'Dressed in her Sunday-best, Elizabeth finds pleasure in picking and displaying hibiscus flowers’. It is interesting to note the skill of the seamstress who used a Western child’s-pattern cloth with its border in such a way as to imitate the “look” of figured masi barkcloth, and has fashioned this into the two-tier skirt arrangement so archetypal of Fijian women’s dress.
