STOP THE STIGMA 🤗
When it comes to eating disorders, trust is a big issue in our bodies. We never know what’s real vs. what’s not.
Am I really hungry? Or am I feeling a difficult emotion? Is this really what I look like? Because everyone is telling me it’s not.
And the list goes on…
When we restrict- our bodies lose their trust for us. So the next time we go to eat, we end up bingeing. Our bodies don’t trust they’ll ever be fed again so they’re going to try to stock up. We then, in turn, lose trust for our bodies because they’ve taken over control and done something we feel guilty about. It turns into this never-ending cycle. And we’re the ones that have to break it.
This is just one example… I’m sure you can all think of more specific things in your own relationship with your body that could be used as an example as well.

My biggest fear is that eventually you’ll look at me like I look at myself.

Deep in my heart I know I am a loner. I have tried to blend in with the world or be more sociable, but the more people I meet the more disappointed I am. So I’ve learned to enjoy myself, my family, and a few good friends.

You sometimes do stupid things in the hope of getting better.

Hi. (7-13-16)
Hey everyone!
I feel horrible for not writing and or sharing any form of work so far. I've been so absolutely depressed for a couple of months. My life hasn't been going to way I thought, so I've just been going through the motions of life and hopefully something gives. I'm still very much unemployed, but I'm still in school so I guess that's good. I do miss being able to write and write have ideas flow out of me, but frankly the Well has run dry. I want my old self back. I had the best brain back then. I feel like everything I write has been mediocre and I hate that! I've never put out anything mediocre in my eyes before. Which means I'm starting to settle. Years ago, I promised myself that I would settle for anything; Men, jobs, or even down to where I lived. Now I'm starting to think that all of it was a mistake because I'm single, job-less, still living at home.
I feel like a mistake of design. I truly think that now. There's this deep emptiness inside of me that I can't get rid of and I'm pretty sure it can't go away. There's no doctor or drug, or support group that I can go to that will take this pain away.
Things I've experienced looking for a Therapist....
So, I'm back on the hunt again. I was for sure that this one was a keeper, but she just turned out to be a horrible person, and she made me think the way that I chose to live my life.
Anyways, I don't like to complain about my life, but at this point I'm very tired. I'm back in school, but I just need to find a good job, I want to be writer, but there are other things in play that hinder me from doing it full time.

It isn’t always “you’re not sick enough”
It’s:
“But you’re not underweight”
“You haven’t been hospitalized”
“You’re not diagnosed”
“You’re overreacting”
“You’re tired”
“You’re naturally thin”
“Everyone’s bones stick out sometimes”
“You’re sucking in”
“I don’t see cuts”
“You don’t stash razors”
“You’re fat, though”
Either way you are telling someone their mental illness isn’t severe enough for you to care.

Find the courage to love yourself most, to uplift others through your own actions, to accept nothing less than you deserve. Find yourself through this practice, respect yourself enough to know your worth.
