The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.

Stop being so serious. Have fun. Smile and laugh. Play. Be silly. If I were a doctor, I would prescribe this to my patients.
In my world, I really admire my parents for being some of the youngest and silliest "old" people I know. Luckily, I'm pretty sure it's genetic.

Yes. Less is MORE.
Sometimes you need to look at things as if you are seeing them for the first time.
It’s the first time you laid eyes on your other half, the first day on the job, the first bite of a delectable dish, there is something exhilarating about first time experiences that inspire us. When you feel ordinary about something that was once extraordinary, open your eyes and try to look those things, people or experiences as if you are seeing them for the first time.
The beauty of Fall.
I picked a pair up from target and on this cloudy fall day they make me feel oh so comfy and cozy. :)
May I care enough, to love enough to share enough to let others become what they can be.

Yoga and meditation is how I connect to my spirituality. I often practice on my own. Although when I need guidance to help me connect, I turn to a mentor or a class/guided practice. It is through practicing with others that I expose myself to enlightening quotes that help guide not only my practice, but my attitude towards life.
Sacramento's Sunday Farmer's Market
There are few things I enjoy more on a Sunday morning in Sacramento over the Sunday Farmer's Market. We are so spoiled with our access to fresh, local, organic and affordable produce. Not to mention the local organic farm raised meats, cheese, flowers and olive oils. Last week we missed the market and instead stopped by Whole Foods to pick up organic fruits and veggies. Boy did we feel ripped off. Whole Foods doesn't compare to the prices you find at the local farmers market. I love making the farmer's market a habit and I feel strongly that everyone should too.
Sometimes you need to disconnect to understand what's really important. We did a 2 day backpacking weekend on the north shore of Lake Tahoe around the Tahoe Rim Trail. It was funny, the moment we got in the car after our trip I turned on my phone, was bombarded with texts and Facebook updates and thought to myself, "wtf"?
Stop talking about it and just do it.
