So do I! Everything you see these days is so cynical, all these movies and stories where everyone dies at the end, it’s so nice to see that people are still enjoying a good love story!

So, would you be interested in the tickets? Ten dollars each, and I hear the lead actor’s pretty good! What d’ya say?

Oh dear...

When I was out earlier today picking flowers I saw the cutest little black and grey cat stuck up in a tree! He had pretty sharp claws and tried to scratch me but I think he was just excited hehe. Anyway, when I helped him down I noticed he had collar with the name Lucifer on it! Does he belong to anyone?

It does, doesn’t it?  But it sounds like you and this Edward, prince guy are happy and really, that’s what matters isn’t it?  As long as you’re happy, life ain’t so bad, huh?

If only life were like a fairytale, right?  Although, catching yourself a prince charming certainly sounds like you’ve found one.  I hope you’re right… But even if I don’t, I guess I could settle for living vicariously through you.  Or rather Edward— Handsome princes aren’t my thing, I’m more into the damsels in distress personally.

Yeah, I mean I guess that’d be kinda fun!  Anything for you.

A prince!  Wow, that’s… Who could possibly hope to compete with that?  He sounds swell.  I uhh, I wish you all the happiness in the world.  Really.

Yeah, falling in love is great, don’t get me wrong it’s just… Well, sometimes it can be kinda bittersweet if, say the object of your affections doesn’t return the feeling, or maybe they’re in love with someone else.  It can be complicated.  I’m not really a fan of complicated emotions — there’s too many other complicated things in the world.  Feelings should be simple, and straightforward.  Romance should be about brave shiny knights riding in on steely white chargers to rescue the damsels in distress and ride off with them into the sunset with no ifs, ands, or buts from anyone about it… If you know, that’s your thing.  But I don’t think that’s always how things pan out, ya know?

Thank you very much! Oh my, how terrible that must be, to love someone that doesn't love you back. I wouldn't want to wish that on anyone, it just sounds so sad! I don't know anything about complicated emotions but they don't sound like something you'd want to have. 

Oh knights and and white horses that sounds just like a fairy tale! A wonderful perfect fairytale where everything works out in the end. I agree with you Flynn, that's what it should be like, a fairytale! No...I guess not all the time. But surely everyone gets a chance to have a fairytale sometime! If you're worried about that Flynn, well I'm sure you'll get that soon too!

Oh, please… Well I mean yeah, I’m sure I would be, because I’m awesome but it’s just, you know, not my thing.  But I mean, if you ever needed a partner, I doubt I’d say “no.”

Yeah, she sure is.  Oh, Edward, is that your…?  That’s your valentine you mentioned earlier, isn’t it?  Yeah, I dunno if she’d really wanna go with so many people but uhh, thanks anyway.

I mean I guess falling in love can be fun, sure… But falling so hard and so fast, someone’s bound to get hurt, right?  Isn’t that why they call it “falling?”  Trust me, I love that anxious feeling in the pit of your stomach as much as anyone else, but in the case of love, I think I’d really prefer a safety net.

Hehehe yes! Edward is my valentine! He's tall and very handsome, oh and charming very charming too, and did I mention he's a prince?

Oh dear I never thought about falling in love that way before, but I sure hope not. I always thought falling in love would be the best thing in the world and once that happens you would live happily ever after with your one true love. That's how I hope it will be for Edward and I.

Sing?  Not my thing… Though I guess under the right circumstances, and were I with the right person, it might not be so bad.  I’m sure you’ve got a lovely voice.

Who—?  Oh uhh, just this girl I know… She’s really bubbly, and sweet - it really compliments my dry humored outlook on life - and she’s really pretty, and… You know, I don’t really know her all that well to be honest, but I guess you can’t help who you fall in love with, or how, or when, can you?
