Someone asked for Salami’s playlist a while ago. I’m sorry!!
I only have YouTube playlists. Videos get removed from time to time and I try my best to both remember what was deleted and find replacements for those videos.
Salami’s Playlist (More than half of this playlist is for Twi!Salami)
House of Skulltula (A big playlist for the whole cast)
Armogohma — The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Several of the Zelda games features giant cycloptic arthropods called ‘Gohmas’ but their appearances change dramatically between titles. In Twilight Princess they are more spider-like, and the largest one is the Armogohma. It initially appears to be a massive armoured tarantula with a big eyeball set deep in its cephalothorax (protected by a pair of exoskeletal eyelids). It also has claws on the ends of its pedipalps (like a scorpion) and circuitry-like patterns of grooves on its exoskeleton. The Armogohma crawls around the ceiling of a dark chamber, firing beams at the player and laying eggs which hatch into small Gohmas.
When the monster’s armour is destroyed, a fun twist reveals that the ‘true’ Armogohma is a much smaller spider-like creature, and the giant ‘eye’ was really the back of its spherical abdomen.
Ahhh...I feel embarrassed to say this Salami...but before I knew much about you..I may or may not have thought you were a girl....mistakes were made hehe..
“Listen here, you: no one wants to hear a comment like that, least of all me!”
They've gotten too comfortable, he thought to himself, these generic henchmen.
Salami understood perfectly well that no matter what timeline the Happy Mask Shoppe sprung up in, it always attracted an extraordinary cast of characters. The Goddesses' Chosen Heroes, the ancient Sages, even the Princess of Hyrule: all of them had been welcomed at the shop. Upon his awakening, Salami returned to the business to greet those VIPS once more.
...But they did not return.
Now he had to deal with suspicious characters, such as the one before him!
The fact that Salami had not met with anyone from his family was most alarming to him. What happened? Was he trapped in a doomed era? Would he never see them again? He lamented his soul's poor timing. Hyrule was already lost, so what had brought about the reanimation of the mask salesman's long-dead protégé? The boss would not approve of his poor attitude towards their patrons, IF he was there. He cared less and less every passing day.
Indeed, it seems our happiness(?) salesman has little to smile about.
With Princess Zelda disappearing from the public eye after an attack on the castle, the citizens of the castle town felt uneasy. Evil had returned to Hyrule, that Salami could be sure of. The Hyruleans continued with their daily lives as best they could, unknowingly living as prisoners under a blanket of Twilight.
I didn’t have any ideas for what Salami would be leaning back from. You’d think it’d be a slobbering beast, but I went with Twi!Link instead. He just learned what the Goron Mask does to the wearer. (he doesn’t know??🐍) I don’t think he liked it. So, does he want an explanation, an apology, or a refund? …All of those?
Venison loves music. He's curious about certain tunes and instruments that have magical properties. He plays the Song of Storms on his trusty accordion every day, hoping it’ll work for him and summon the rain. Not that it never rains in Kakariko.... He just wants the rain for himself.
He's very patient.
I know Link learning the Song of Storms is part of a paradox but... just pretend Venison was the other mean kid who ruined the windmill. Guru-Guru was destined to have a bad time.
Felt like doodling something creepy. I only took screenshots of it. Twi!Salami’s shadow actually creeps down and then up towards the text just below Fado.
Cervelas or “Zer” is the Skulltula family’s recluse. (Not to be confused with the recluse spider.) He rarely leaves the house and he builds mouse-shaped explosives known as Bombchu for a living. He’s not a very friendly guy, that one.
The reward for collecting 40 Gold Skulltula tokens is the Bombchu. I actually designed him based on that one trait.
...He needs a bit more work.
He could be the inventor of the Bombchu... What if the secret Bombchu Shop in Hyrule Castle Town once sold a limited supply of his creations? Then, the shelves go empty after Cervelas gets turned into a Skulltula and the shop is unable to restock.
"This is a new type of bomb! It's available only in limited quantities, and when I'm sold out, that's it!"
What a shame!
By the way, Cervelas is a sausage. It sounds like a real name! lol
Now that I’m thinking of Salami robbing graves, the Skulltula family should have a big tomb hidden in Kakariko Village. There, Salami finds the deed (the Skull Title Deed) to the mask shop during the Twilight era.
Pinkel has it built like a mini-dungeon, similar to the tomb of the Royal Family in OoT. He would do that, okay!! Only someone who understands the morbidity of the minds of the Skulltula triplets could have any hope of surviving there. It’s scary but Salami feels an obligation to explore the tomb as the one will inherit the family business.
Is it really stealing if it’s your family’s tomb from a previous life? How can he prove to the dead that he’s family and the legitimate heir? How would Salami react to finding stuff that used to belong to him? What if he found his own remains?
Well, forget all that because Salami returns to Hyrule Castle Town with the deed and locates the old mask shop. Despite having been abandoned for over a century, the decrepit building STILL hasn’t been demolished. It’s similar to when Keat first showed up at the market long, loooooooong ago. That building refuses to disappear.
In this TP AU, Salami becomes the new HMS while investigating the disappearance of his more sagely family members.
Adding a bit more to my Twilight Princess AU. I thought of an in-game scenario to show how Salami could be useful to Link while he’s playing the part of the Happy Mask Salesman. (It’s dialogue with some explanation.)
Twi!Link needs helps infiltrating Death Mountain. He goes to the mask shop in Hyrule Castle Town for advice. Salami remembers when the Hero of Time tried to rescue his family in his previous life so he is eager to assist him. No more grudges.
This Link doesn’t know anything about that. Salami mistakenly thinks he can jog his memory.
Link returns to him looking kinda sad and beat up, but determined.
• Ouch. It's tough being the Hero, isn't it?
• Let me guess... You trespassed in the Goron's lands and they threw you out? I heard they're having a bit of a crisis, but Link—you ought to know—it's a GORON’S problem.
• The Gorons won’t allow an outsider like you to fix their problem!
• ...!
• If only there was something we could do to aid you on your quest, hn hn...
He’s grinning. There’s this thing with him that he knows way more than he should, that’s just how mask salesmen are. He wants Link to speak to him again.
• Link! I have an idea.
He “reacquaints” Link with the Goron Transformation Mask. It is the same mask the Hero of Time used in Termina. Keat swiped it from him at the end of their adventure.
• Why don't you become a Goron and show them who's boss?
• The Gorons are proud of their strength. Prove your mettle and earn their trust!
Of course, Salami helps as much as he can... for a price.
• I’ll let you borrow this mask for 20 rupees.
• I highly, highly suggest you put this one on when no one is around.*
*you cannot transform around people in this game, anyway
BUT!!!! This Link doesn’t know about the transformation masks. He can continue the game’s story as normal and get the Iron Boots from the village elder or rent the funny-looking mask for the heck of it. Maybe he’d get an interesting reaction from the Gorons. It’s just a mask, right?
just soim clear is this a sideblog for the hms blog?
I ain’t the boss man but this is the same shop as the @happymaskshoppe. This is @salami-dono‘s sideblog. I won’t be drawing Keat or Munoora in any asks/rps since they’re on vacation in the Gerudo Desert.
Whatever happens here is happening while those two are gone. They might not be able to return, who knows!
