“Ah. I get that.” Arden nodded, knowing the exact feeling Harleigh was talking about. “Yeah, no problem at all. I didn’t really need it anyway. Probably best if I didn’t, to be honest. I already get jittery when I don’t take my meds, caffeine wouldn’t help that.” She laughed quietly.
"Yikes. That doesn't sound good, or fun." She commented, taking a big sip of the coffee. "Does the jitteriness still happen if you do take them?" She wondered curiously.

“I’m a vampire.” she deadpanned, before laughing quietly. “I sleep, I just don’t sleep enough. Probably like, three or four hours a night. I don’t know how I survive, though. Power naps seem to work wonders.”
"Very funny." Harls laughed simply, shaking her head at the vampire comment. "I don't think there's ever a such thing as enough sleep, Not unless it's summer or holidays at least. I can't ever nap, it turns into a real sleep every time."

work. it felt as though that was all courtney did these days and not nearly enough time with her children. children. plural. though harleigh was not biologically her child, courtney thought of her as such and after long talks with scarlett, everett, and hareigh, there was no way the bruntte would let the girl age out and risk losing her so they adopted her. she approached her room, smiling as she stood in the doorway, “so i was thinking since you’re actually now part of the family, we could make your room more..permanent.”

For years, Harleigh thought she'd forever be on her own. But in time, she somehow ended up lucky enough to be placed in the Delaney-Fitzgerald home. And there, is where she finally started feeling welcome and normal again. She never once thought they'd become her family, but here she was - finally part of a family again. Hearing someone approach, she looked up to see Courtney in her doorway and smiled in response to her words. "Really? How, momma?" She asked curiously. Calling Courtney momma had happened on its own accord a little bit after adoption. She hadn't meant for it to happen, but she didn't question it.

"Really? You're awesome." Harleigh replied with a smile, "Both please. Tons a cream, some sugar."

"Idiots clearly." Harleigh replied, "The photo series idea isn't a bad one though. It'd be a way to showcase how easily baristas mess up."

"Who says? Effortless coffee could be a thing." She replied pouting just a little, though she gave up quickly. "I suppose walking with to keep me from dying is better than nothing." She joked.

"Ling story short.. Nightmares. Sleep was a bit impossible." Harls replied, taking the coffee and having a sip. "Thank you, really."

"You don't sleep?? How do you survive? Coffee's a miracle worker but not a long term sleep replacer."

“Well you know I’m not really a huge coffee fan Harls, so its the best I got. I agree though, without caffeine I’d be a goner.”
"I know. I still don't get how you do it. But I won't question it, simply because it means I can have your share whenever it's offered."

“Yeah, but there’s soy creamer in it. You’re not allergic or anything, right?”
"Not that I know of.” Harleigh answered, a little puzzled and still too off to think proper. “Even if I am, I’ll care later. I can’t care now, when my mind isn’t even working yet.”

"Do you need one too? Oh who am I kidding, if you didn’t you wouldn’t have offered.”

“You want a redbull? I got an extra one in my backpack. I agree though. Whoever invented mornings needs to go away.”
"Well, It’s no coffee..” She trailed off, thinking for a moment before nodding. “But it’s better than nothing. And I’ll never survive on nothing.”

"No coffee..” Harleigh made a face, disgusted by the thought. “RIP you. That’s all I gotta say.”
