Koshei and Jax

Jax is a young Time Lord who fell threw a crack in the time lock and escaped the destruction of Gallifrey. Please see the about for more detail on my characters!

Koschei drifted off while she was talking, not that he meant to but her voice did make him feel a bit… safe. He woke hours wrapped in a warm blanket and it took him a bit to get up. When he did he was glad the TARDIS led him straight to a kitchen. Grabbing some snacks he headed out to find the Doctor letting the TARDIS more or less lead him around untill he wound up in the console room eating a pear as he sat down next to her. “Felling a bit better” he says “not that that’s permission to go dragging me on one of your dumb adventures” he says “you haven’t just been sitting here have you?”

“Oh of course not wouldn’t dream of dragging you along anywhere.”

There’s a small pause.

“No I haven’t been just doing that…”

The fact she hadn’t gotten up from where she sat upon the steps or anything like that yet was hint to the truth. That yes she had indeed been sat there this whole time just thinking.

“I see you got something to eat, that’s good will probably help you feel better.”

Koschei smirks a bit "Nah you have haven't you, just been waiting for me to wake up" he teases a bit as he finishes off his pear. "Honestly I could really go for a hamburger" he says "They didn't exactly feed me regualarly.

He gets up walking casually around the room

Of course the reading was probably just a glitch it wasn't like there was really another time lord in that house... but the Doctor had to check it out anyway. She landed the TARDIS a safe distance away and headed towards the house only to hear yelling. Jax had been in the foster care system for almost 6 months now, bounced around from home to home. His record for getting kicked out was 3 days. The pain from losing his planet, family, everything came out in rage and anger. his botched regeneration had left him with a rather frail body needing crutches just to walk and support himself so the anger mostly came out in the form or yelling, shouting, being defiant, skipping school, mouthing off and just in general being a pain in the ass. This time his foster mom had found his stash of weed and so the current yelling match was about that.

"You better not be teasing me..."

She lightly glared up at the more purpley crystal look of the TARDIS. It seemed to evolved into a mix of something more to her aesthetics but still darker like The Master's influences were still there in part, well she was still currently borrowing his until she found hers. Because of the borrowing of this TARDIS she did have to wonder if this reading was a glitch, the truth or teasing from this TARDIS.

With a sigh at the door, the Doctor steps out carefully, not landing too close by. She didn't want to give herself away too quickly, especially if it was another Timelord, she had to make sure it was a good one or neutral at the very least.

She hears the yelling and for right now, she's going to find somewhere to keep a look on the house but try to not look too out of place; she still looks out of place. But she's going to take a deep breath in and close her eyes.

Trying to see if she can sense anything at all.

"Fuck you!" Jax says before leavving the house slamming the door as he started to walk down the side walk his crutches clicking as he went before he stopped dead in front of her his face lifting up as he sensed another time lord. A million different emotions crossed his face as he stared at her. "Who the fuck are you?" he asks confused

Scott looks up from his laptop at the young man and nods. “Oh yeah. How could I forget? It was a pretty interesting meeting, that’s for sure. Why you ask?” @haroldtsaxon

"I was just thinking about it... how nice it is not to be angry all the time... still have a little scar from falling on those steps" he says with a laugh as he points to it

“Really?” Scott glances down to where Jax pointed, and he chuckles. “Huh. Sure enough. At least it’s not a big one. And I bet it does feel nice to not be angry all the time.” He smiles at Jax. “Happiness looks good on you.”

Jax laughs a little bit "yeah it's pretty small but it's kind of a reminder of when I started building a new life"

"yeah... I think so too" he says. "Was it worth it... all the trouble I caused for you?"

Scott looks up from his laptop at the young man and nods. “Oh yeah. How could I forget? It was a pretty interesting meeting, that’s for sure. Why you ask?” @haroldtsaxon

He nods taking a breath “Am I going to fully recover… or an I just kind of screwed untill I regnerate again… if I even can?” he asks leaning back on the table looking at the results and taking a deep breath “Well I suppose at least whatever they did to me fixed me and got rid of the drums” he says sighing a little bit. He holds still letting her work on healing him and winding up falling asleep as she did

She was relieved in a small way that it had some good, those drums drove him mad, she remembered hearing them for a moment regenerations ago, a moment and she couldn’t imagine having to hear them all the time like he did.

“I think with a lot of rest you’ll be okay mind you regeneration would reset you quicker. But you can always….”

She paused as she finished up her work, glancing over to see he was sleeping now. She smiled slightly, moving to get a blanket to go over him and moving him carefully to somewhere a little more comfortable than the med bay. A spare room in the TARDIS would do for now. A bed should he wake and wish to move there.

But for now she’s going to go sit in the control room, sat on the steps. Head in her hands. She had hope for him again. Hope that he friend was really here this time and maybe she wouldn’t be alone this time, but she didn’t know if he would want to join her on adventures or not. If it would even work. For now she is going to wait until he’s awake again. Sat in silence listening to the TARDIS hum softly to her.

“you’ve downgraded from cruise ship to taxi service then?” He teases

He could see the expression on her face change as she looked at the results “how bad is it?” He asks leaning back in the chair.

“Lucy’s family… they were pretty passed about what I did to her… I don’t blame them. They locked me in a mental ward… one more interested in experimenting than actually helping.” He says shaking his head. “They used it to exact their revenge.”

There was actually a soft chuckle from her lips for a small moment when he teased her about that. For her most of the time it felt like they were always here, even when they were out living their lives. So she didn’t fully feel like a taxi service.

She grabbed the equipment she would need to at least help the healing process a little bit, maybe speed it up a tad.

“It’s very not good, not going to kill you even if it feels like it. Probably going to need to rest a fair amount, but I will do what I can to help.”

The Doctor got to work as she listened, she couldn’t blame Lucy’s family for being mad but she definitely did not agree with what they had done. Even to him, even after some of the things he had done. He was still her friend right, they were still in there somewhere. She had to help him if she could.

She threw her backpack on the floor and rushed over to her brother on the floor.

“Do me a favor and don’t be dead.”

”Pft.” She rolled her eyes.

“you can beat up my brain when you can properly stand up. How about that?”

"How about you tell your brain I don't need functional legs to beat it up" he says sticking his tongue at her.

"I think I'm ok for Roscoe to get off long enough for you to get me to a bed or couch if your ready for it" he says

When she gets in there she see's a quite pale and sweaty looking Jax with Rosco laying on his legs and occationally pushing his chest back against the wall so he doesn't fall over. His crutches are laying across the room where they landed when he fell down after moving just wrong and causing a nerve to pinch in his back.

“Shit shit shit shit shit.”

She threw her backpack on the floor and rushed over to her brother on the floor.

“Do me a favor and don’t be dead.”

“Right. Sorry. I knew that.”

She decided to flop onto the floor beside him.

“My brain just hasn’t been super nice to me lately. I guess we are both beautiful disasters.”

Jax leaned against her taking her hand. "Do I need to beat up your brain till it's nice to you again?" he asks Rosco was still nuzzling him stimulating him to help him with the pain

"Want to see a real lightsaber?" Jax ask from the doorway of Cassies room

She pointed to her extensive collection of sabers that were displayed on her wall.

“Already seen them.”

"nah those are just toys" he says shaking his head "I mean a real one you can cut shit with"

Her ears perked up at the mention of potential violence.

“Oh?”

He grins "Follow me" he says heading outside where he had built a litteral lightsaber and had a bunch of stuff for them to cut with it.

As Cassie comes into the house she can hear Rosco barking and whining from the kitchen. “You know I don’t mind taking care of you right?”

Her tone switched into something more serious. She had been having flare ups of anxiety more and more often lately, causing her to sometimes state the obvious to people. She didn’t want anyone mad or upset at her.

“I can tell you what I’ve been up to at school if you want. I met someone. She’s really nice and funny.”

“Oh thank fuck. I really didn’t want to explain to dad that you died. I’ll be right back!”

It took her a few moments to find the right bottle and make a pit stop in the kitchen for some water.

“Can you sit up to take the medicine?”

Rosco pushes on his chest to help him sit up and stay that way as he takes the pills swallowing them with some of the water witch he also dribbles down his shirt. "bout 15 minutes or so maybe we can try moving me" he says "can you stay with me?"

"Want to see a real lightsaber?" Jax ask from the doorway of Cassies room

Scott watches Jax for a moment, assessing the situation. This definitely isn’t good. He needs to tread carefully.

“Jax?” Scott calls gently as he walks over and sits on the couch too. “What’s wrong, buddy?” @haroldtsaxon

Jax crosses his arms over his chest taking a deep breath and sighing a little bit. "Nothing alright, Just stupid shit" he says

“Even if it is, talking about it will help. C’mon, buddy,” he gently prompts, “talk to me about it.”

Jax "Stuff is just... getting to me.... stuff... stupid people are saying about me... and I know it's only a few people and I'm doing well in the poles... really well but I just... it still gets to me...." he says staying vague for the moment

“That’s okay that it is, Jax. Politics can be brutal sometimes, but those things they’re saying about you aren’t true. I don’t even have to know what they’re saying to know that. You’re a good person, and these are just mean, manipulative tactics because they’re desperate.” Then he asks gently, “What are they saying that’s getting to you? Let me help you remember what’s true and what’s not.”

"yeah... I know... I just" he takes a deep breath and pulls up a website on his phone that's just a bunch of people making fun of him either for being an alien or for using crutches. "The real mean stuff... like... " he scrolls down to a person who is legit calling for him to thrown in jail because of being an alien followed by him ranting about how cripples should be euthanized. "It doesn't actually bother me... I guess cause I know they're just... crazy but stuff like this... " he shows Scott a gif comparing him to Jimmy from south park and then one making a joke about him 'probing people' "I don't know why... if just... really gets under my skin sometimes" he says

“That’s so stupid,” Scott shakes his head, angrily looking at the comments. “All of these comments are ignorant and dumb.”

He sighs as he pulls Jax into a side hug. “I’m sorry they bother you, buddy. They’re all wrong you know. And horrible people. You’re far better than how they paint you to be.”

Jax stiffens a little at the hug but takes a breath and leans on Scott. "I know... and it's stupid and...." he sighs a little bit "Sorry I just... I should... " he takes a breath trying to catch his thoughts "Thank you for being here" he says finally as he turns to hug his dad. "I'm glad i have you"

Koschei glanced down at the trashcan only briefly but honestly he wasn't so concerned about the pizza and more concerned about the fact that apparently some version of him had a kid with Lucy. "And... where are your parents now?" he asks swallowing as he looked Lucian over. "I guess you were staring at me because I.... look..." he trailed off not quite finishing his thought

Lucian shoves his hands into the pockets of his pants, before removing one hand to point over his own shoulder. "My mum's at home while my father is out drumming up votes so he can be Prime Minister."

Lucian nods twice. "Yes, sir. I was wondering why my father was eating out of the trash, but you're just someone who looks like him. If you're hungry I can get you a fresher pizza or something."

"I'm always hungry" he says looking at Lucian. Was he in an alternate reality... if so how had he gotten there... "It's a little more complicated than just me looking like your father" he says touching the spot on his stomach where Lucy had shot him all those years ago. "If your offering to get me a pizza... aybe we should sit down and talk...."

Koschei frowed as he looked into the others eyes. Something stired in him as he looked at the boys face, some sort of paternal instinct. "Saxon... wait.... are you related to Lucy Saxon?" he asks the pizza sliding out of his hands and back into the garbage can"Wh....who is your father?" he asks taking a step back his face turning pale.... this couldn't be.... could it.... "

Lucian blinks and smiles a bit, nodding. "She's my mum." He seems to perk up at the question and when he replies.

"Oh, your.. Your pizza!" He exclaims, watching it slide out of the other's hands and back into the garbage can.

He looks back at Koschei. "Harold Saxon." He pauses and then smiles a bit, pushing away the sentence he was about to say.

koschei frowned was this kid even old enough to remember Harold Saxon? He didn't know and he wasn't sure he should stick around to find out.

He took another bite of the pizza looking the boy over. The boy kind of reminded him of his ex wife.

"Koschei" he says finally. "Who are you?"

Lucian's head tilts to the side, humming a bit. He focuses his eyes on the other's face. Eyes locking.

He tended to favor his mom more than his dad with his looks, although he did have his father's eyes.

"Koschei." He repeats, before pointing at himself. "Lucian. Lucian Saxon. I'm sure you heard of my parents, or at least my dad."
