i have been seeing a lot of posts that are to the effect of "THEY think they can distract us from gaza with the met gala and other pop culture events" and tbh I think you are kind of stupid if you're posting this kind of thing. regularly scheduled culture events continue to go on in spite of moral and political crises. like what are you demanding exactly? that everyone spends every waking moment in penitent contemplation of the evils of the world? not a tenable way of living and not even effective qua activism imo
