i hate when apps know that i’m screenshotting something. when i screenshot something, that’s me acting outside your realm of understanding, app. i am beyond what you consider the observable universe. you’re not supposed to perceive me. we don’t know when god screenshots the earth. we don’t know when he’s like, “okay i’m just gonna take a pic in case i ever want to add dinosaurs back to something later and don’t remember how.” and if we did, we wouldn’t act all smug about it like, “hey, you wanna share that post? you could just click here to share it.” no, man. you didn’t catch me. i screenshotted this for my own reasons. what’s next? i can’t take a photo of my computer screen with my phone out of laziness without being shamed by the printer i don’t own?

i had this person who i went on two dates with then made very clear i only wanted to be friends nothing more but we did got drunk and hook up (which i don’t think is to crazy as drunk adults do) and the whole time i was so hesitant and keep questioning. anyway again once sober i repeat that i only want friends nothing more at all. anyway eventually i realize i don’t like who i am when i’m around them and i take a few days to say that but i do and they agree/say okay and then the next day i get a page long text about how toxic and i then see her subtweeting about how we were a “situationship” or im their “ex” and how i: abused them, or worst that i pressured THEM into sex and i haven’t spoken to them but to see someone saying that type of stuff about me.

first off I’m so sorry this is literally so shitty like that is an absolute insane reaction for them to have. like it was two dates and maybe their feelings were extra hurt because of the drunk hook up but you said before that happened that you only wanted to be friends and you reiterated that afterwards?? it’s not even close to a situationship you didn’t lead them on for months you were clear with what you wanted and they can’t just automatically call you an ex lmao but I think they are subtweeting because they know you’ll see it and they want you to feel bad

you’re not toxic for explicitly stating what you want and it doesn’t make you an abuser either they’re just throwing these words at you to hurt you. I think it’s really good actually that you communicated what you wanted and then even took the time to communicate that you don’t like the ways you changed. a lot of people have piss poor communication skills and it leads to bigger problems but in this case it seems like they’re just upset with what you had to say and they’re lashing out which is terrible I’m sorry

I don’t know if you’ve completely cut them off to the point where they’re like blocked on social media etc but one thing I usually do is I mute people like on instagram and twitter and it turns into out of sight out of mind. I don’t know if they’d make a big deal of you all of a sudden unfollowing them and start blowing up your phone with another page of text so this is an easy solution to where you won’t see the lies they’re saying about you. you might be tempted to check like in the beginning I have been tempted to check on people I’ve muted to see if they’re saying anything but it honestly goes away like I’ve had some people on mute for ages and completely forgotten I’ve done it

this is sooo long winded I’m sorry but I hope you still have some other people in your circle who aren’t acting like this that you can lean on in the meantime 🫶 and you will meet more people who will better respect your boundaries
