Has Isla ever bought Harry a dress? Or, to make him feel a bit more special, has she ever made him one herself?

Uhhh maybe? Isla’s mum was an amazing dress-maker before her death but isla didn’t pick up her knack for making full on dresses (much to Isla’s annoyance). She can make smaller stuff like but I think she’d be best at knitting and embroidery or something. She’d rather leave the clothes making to the professionals

I do however think isla would be a very fashionable person! I do have a massive folder on insta called ‘clothes for the body I wish I had’ which is code for ‘clothes for my oc!isla’. I do think that Isla’s and Harry’s fashion sense would rub off on one another and they definitely hype each other up and help one another out, they most definitely wear each other’s clothes. I think in the end, isla encourages Harry (and everyone else) to just be themselves, as long as what they’re doing makes them happy and isn’t hurting anyone then she encourages them to go for it! They both build one another up and feed off each other’s confidence and encouragement

But yes!!! They’ve 100% done interviews together!! They did the press stuff for Dunkirk and the period drama netflix show i haven’t named yet, that was before they were dating but there was so much flirting, enough for there to be a few ‘Harry and isla flirting for 10 minutes’ videos on YouTube.

I think after they’ve established that they’re dating they talk about each other, not by name but more as ‘a friend of mine’, but the longer they get into the relationship they start with the partner / gf / bf / my love stuff. And obviously when they’re married the my husband / my wife stuff starts. When Harry hosted the late late show for James he did fill or spill with Isla instead of k*ndal and then after they’ve been married a few years they’d do it again, they’ve both crashed each other’s carpool karaoke a few times as well

I’d also like to think they were on talk shows or game shows together way before they ever worked together and that’s how they initially became friends? Like on a league of their own or never mind the buzzcocks? And they were on the same team together and they were being very witty and playful with each other the whole time? I think I’ve mentioned before that they were on late late show together and that’s where james corden told everyone about Harry’s very obvious crush on isla that she’s never let him live down

Studio Sleeping

Harry has a home studio, a one room studio on the ground floor of his and Isles’ London home. It’s nice, slightly cluttered but in the ‘not messy this is how it’s supposed to look’ way. It has all the things a normal studio has; a recording room with instruments and microphones, a mixing desk and a small sitting area. Harry organised and decorated most of the studio, he has a more intimate knowledge about studios, Isla has been in a few studios with Harry and Halsey and her ex but only in the background, but this will be Harry’s studio and he gets to organise it, but because he’s so lovely he did let Isla decorate the seating area of the studio. For this area of the room, Isla chose a grey L shaped sofa, big enough to seat Harry’s friends and fellow music-makers on with no problem, but Isla wasn’t thinking about space when she picked the sofa, oh no, she picked it because it was the most comfortable sofa she’d ever sat on, which definitely came in handy when Harry’s restless inspiration struck.

Harry’s inspiration usually struck at stupid o’clock in the morning, so he’ll get up all slowly and carefully, trying to make as little noise as possible (so to not wake isla) and he’ll sneak downstairs into the studio; which leaves Isla all alone in their bed. And Isla doesn’t like it when she has to sleep in that bed without Harry so she’ll wake up not long after.

She’ll get up, and she knows there’s only a few places he could be at this time at night - the bathroom, the kitchen, or in the studio. So she walks through the house trying to stay quiet, she peeks into each room and it’s only when she hears a rough melody coming through the door leading to the studio that she knows where he is.

And so Isla will grab the weighted blanket and a pillow from the living room, make two cups of tea and gently pad her way into the home studio, trying not to disturb Harry but she’s not as quiet as she likes to think she is, especially not when she’s carrying two hot cups of tea, a heavy blanket and a pillow. And Harry turns to acknowledge her with a smile or a kiss and she’ll place Harry’s tea next to his notebook on the desk and kiss his cheek and ask him how it’s going and they’ll have a little chat and when her tea’s finished, she’ll settle down on the sofa and lay there a little bit just watching him think and work and write and she’ll enjoy the comfortable silence before drifting off to sleep for a few more hours.

And Harry just looks at her sleeping on the sofa and thinks ‘how?’ How did he get so lucky? How did he get this beautiful, amazing, incredible woman as his love, as the person he gets to spend the rest of his life with? He just doesn’t get it, but he doesn’t question it either. He feels so loved and supported by her and he wouldn’t change anything about her or their relationship, not one thing.

And when Harry’s done or when the tiredness finally hits him, he’ll do one of two things. He’ll either slip under the blanket next to her and pull he closer until her head rests on his chest and they’ll sleep there together. Or, he’ll pick her up like a baby because she is his baby and he’ll carry her upstairs and place her down gently on the bed and they’ll fall asleep wrapped up in each other, their favourite place to be.

Isla being in Harry’s music videos (HS1 edition)

Okay so even though Isla and Harry didn’t start dating until early 2017, they’d definitely been flirting with one another throughout the filming of Dunkirk and the Netflix series beginning in late 2015, that’s like a whole year and a bit of flirting (oh my god just kiss already) and I’d like to think a few songs from HS1 about about Isla, namely Two Ghosts, Only Angel and Woman. Sadly none of those songs had music videos, fuck u harry, except for Two Ghosts, (we’ll get into that in a minute).

I think the first video she’d be somewhat involved in would be Kiwi, as a director!!!

Maybe over the year of flirting they’ve became really good friends, they go round each other’s houses and get wine drunk and one night Isla confesses to Harry “I’d love to direct a music video, just completely on my own, but I don’t wanna fuck it up and do a shit job and disappoint the artist and the fans, ya know” and Harry’s like “bitch what? You literally cannot create anything shit it is physically impossible you’re so talented shut up” and Isla’s blushing so bad and then H jokes that “maybe you can direct one of mine one day 👀😏”. And a few months down the line he just rings her up in the middle of the night and says “I have this idea for a music video and I want you to direct it and you’re not allowed to say no’” and after a few minutes of Isla thinking about it (and telling him off for waking her up) she just says “okay fine goodnight” then hangs up.

And Harry is freaking tf outtttttt!!!!! Not only is one of his favourite actresses directing his music video, his celebrity fucking crush is directing his music video!! I think he’d freak out about it until it gets to the actual filming of the video and everyone is just so sick of hearing this lovestruck idiot talking so highly about this woman he’s so in love with but he won’t admit it to her. And so the music video for Kiwi was born.

In the ‘behind the scenes’ for the music video (or even the Behind The Album documentary idk I haven’t watched it) there’s clips of Harry and Isla on set together. The both of them are laughing and joking together and with the kids and the other crewmates and they’re just having a great time, but there’s also clips of director!isla where she’s really passionately explaining what she wants the scene to look like, how she wants the camera to move, how she wants the kids to act and just the overall feeling of the scene; and the camera catches Harry at the back of the group just giving her the biggest heart eyes imaginable and all he’s thinking is “I love this fucking woman”.

And maybe a few months later when the video’s out and Harry does an interview about it, the interviewer asks about why he chose Isla to direct the music video and Harry just starts gushing about her like “I’ve been friends with Isla for a while now, but I’ve been a huge fan of her career and her work for years and I know that whatever she’s a part of turns out incredible, plus she has a really good sense of how to make a concept which is somewhat unconventional and something you’d never think about into something which works so well, and so as soon as I came up with the concept idea for the video I knew I had to have Isla direct it”. And the interviewer jokingly follows that up with “what was Isla like on set, was she bossy?” and Harry just laughs and says “it was weird I’ve only really seen her work as an actress where she’s so attentive to what the director wants and portraying the character in the best way, but to see her do a complete 180 and become this very confident director who knows what she wants for the video was incredible, I was so in awe of her and just so pleased with how the video turned out”. I think when this interview gets released and they see how H and Isles react with each other the fans can definitely see that there’s something going on between them and they’re very excited to see where it goes...

Okay onto Two Ghosts, so in my head this song is about how Harry and Isla feel like empty shells of their former selves and trying to remember how to function independently after a bad breakup whilst also slowly becoming closer with one another and going into that weird grey area of ‘we’re more than friends but not quite lovers’ and so (I’m literally only going off of the photos / gifs I’ve seen from the unreleased video, I have no idea what the plot was or what Harry intended the video to be about so take what I say with a grain of salt) the video is all about rebirth and connection although Isla herself isn’t actually in the video, there is a figure who looks eerily similar to Isla and she’s wearing this flowing white gown with golden jewellery and she literally looks like this guiding, guardian angel, but you don’t see her face at all in the video and all the fans are like “IS THIS ISLA????” and Harry just doesn’t address it until a few months go by and him and Isla are actually dating and so many people are like “I KNEW IT!!!”

Can we get an updated Husband Harry thing?

Hiiii my lovey! Of course! I haven’t done one of these in a long time so I hope you enjoy this! I also threw in some “husband-ish” photos of Harry that for some reason when I see them I’m like “he’s a husband”😂🙈

Harry’s the type of husband that will ALWAYS be down for matching, he doesn’t care if it’s a tattoo, a ring, a blouse, a nail color, a glittery Gucci jacket or even just a pair of socks. You want to match? He’s fully okay with it and supports it 1000%. He also enjoys it when he notices you wearing something of his, even though he will act like he doesn’t and say something like “we’ve been together for how long? And you still manage to sneak into my side of the closet hmmmm?” The sight of you in his clothes or wearing something out of his massive accessories closet, always makes him smile.

He’s the type of husband that doesn’t forget anything, not even the name of that chick in your office you can’t stand because she hogs the copy machine and doesn’t ever refill the paper. He’s the type that if he thinks it’s even remotely important he’ll write it down, something he started doing while the two of you were dating and he’s just carried it with him into marriage. He is also the king of updating the calendar the two of you have hanging in the kitchen by the coffee maker, a spot he picked since he knows it where you spend most of your time in the mornings and the morning is when you like to plan your day.

Harry is the type of husband to make a big deal out of all your achievements, even if he’s not there he’ll make sure a flower delivery is arranged or make sure your favorite dinner and bottle of wine is ready waiting for you when you get home. He loves to celebrate you because well he knows that often it can seem that your life gets wrapped around his career so he takes every opportunity he can to show you how wonderful you are. He’s the type that will leave you notes but put them in random places that may take you a few days or weeks to find, like a little “remember, I love you” post it note stuck between the pages of your favorite book or a “this will be delicious, but only because you made it” note sticking out of one of your cookbooks you keep on the kitchen counter.

Harry is the type of husband that knows exactly how to love you, how to make sure you always know he’s there for you in any and every way, he knows when you need him to smother you with love and affection but he also knows when all you want is for him to give you space. He’s aware of your emotions and moods, even though sometimes he can totally misread a situation(as most men can lol) he usually can tell how you’re feeling just by what music you’re listening to that day or what book he walks in on you reading while in the bath. He’s in tune for the most part with what you want and need from him because he understand you, truly understands you.

He’s the type that while he’s away he makes sure all the little things are taken care of, like the gardener is scheduled as well as the pool man, he also leaves you little reminders/instructions about things he normally takes care of when he’s home, including a little note on top of the alarm system giving you instructions on how it works so you don’t have to call him at three in the morning wherever he is trying to remember how to set it (like you’ve done once before). He also makes the time each day to FaceTime you, even if it’s just for a few minutes to say hello and I love you or if you’re both lucky there’s time for each of you to tell each other about your day, Harry knows how much you love listening to his stories of the silly things him and Mitch get up too while on the road.

He’s the type of husband that will do all the things with you! From grocery shopping, going to target for things you swear you need but he fully knows you don’t and he will even go to Starbucks and get whatever coffee drink you want. He will go on all the day dates you want even if it means he has to dress in “fall attire” for those instagramable pumpkin patch pictures, he will especially enjoy the at least one a month date nights because he knows it’s important to remind you that even though you are married he’s still enamored by you and enjoys taking you out.

Most importantly Harry is the type of husband that just makes you happy, now like all marriages you won’t be happy 100% of the time but Harry is the type of husband that will always try to make you happy even on your darkest days. He knows how to make you smile till it hurts, how to laugh until you feel like you’re going to explode, he knows exactly how you like to be held in the evening while laying on the couch watching your shows, he knows how you take your coffee/tea, he knows what kind of wine/drink you prefer, Harry just knows you and is the type of husband that truly loves every single thing that makes you, you.💖

Bad Days

As Hannah Montana once said, “everybody has those days”. Those shitty shitty days where everything feels wrong in some way, like the whole world is wrong.

Isla is definitely no stranger to those days at all. She’s suffered with pretty severe depression and anxiety since she was a child, and I mean with the shit she’s been through it’s not a surprise.

Isla’s ‘bad days’ manifest themselves in different ways. Some days, she just feels numb. Just the weight of everything sits so heavy on her heart and she just doesn’t know what to do, so she just carries on. And Isla’s an amazing actress, and she’d like to think that she’s doing a good job in making sure that people don’t know how she’s truely feeling, she doesn’t wanna be a bother to anyone, but her friends aren’t blind. They see the little things, how her eyes don’t shine as much, how her smile isn’t as bright, how her laugh doesn’t last as long as it usually does and it breaks their hearts. Because they all love Isla so much, she’s so wonderful, she brings so much joy to them and to see her so down hurts. So they try and do whatever that can to make her feel better. Most of the time, just them being there for her, supporting her, showing her that she’s not alone, makes her feel a bit better. She knows getting back a good place is a long process and it’s a slow process but she has her friends, she has her family, she has her work and her life and everything she could ever need. She knows she’ll be fine, it’ll just take time.

Her ‘bad days’ can also go a completely different way, these are the days where her anxiety runs her head. Her hands shake more, and she’s just so tense and jittery and she feels scared and small and she’s just so quiet. And again, her friends notice, because they’re amazing fucking friends and they laugh and they joke with her, they look after her, and it means the world to Isla. They reassure her that she’s okay. She knows what she’s doing, she’s been doing this for 17 years and hasn’t fucked up yet. She’s fucking got this! She’s got this, she’ll be alright.

Hi everyone, I haven’t been on here much because I’ve been having a bad go of it lately and my mental health is ‘not great’™️ but since it’s world mental health I thought I’d try and write at least something. This blurb isn’t as long as the others I usually do but I’m literally exhausted, some of what I wrote in this is inspired by my own struggle with mental health, especially recently. I’m sorry I didn’t go into a ton of detail, it takes me a few days to write the longer ones and I wanted to just get something posted.

When Isla was young, did she ever think that the love of her life would be anything like Harry? Or did she not really plan things ahead and just hit the jackpot with Mr Styles?

Isla knew she always wanted to find ‘the one’ for her, she wanted a relationship like her parents, but after finding out her ex had been cheating on her she thought that it’d never happen. She loved her ex more than anything, they’d been dating for 5 years and she thought he was the one she was going to marry and start a family with and she wanted that so badly, and when he started to become a bit distant Isla thought it was because he was planning to propose. That all came crashing down when she walked into the house she shared with her ex and caught him having sex with his ex-girlfriend on her own fucking bed. She was heartbroken and humiliated and she thought she’d never find anyone she loved more than him

When she started working on Dunkirk and the Netflix series with Harry she found herself falling for him but kept holding herself back, she really liked him, but she was scared. And when he promised her he’d never do anything like that to her, and he kept his promise (well they did break up for a few months at one point but we’ll get to that later). Harry’s so open with his love for her, and he assures her everyday that he loves her.

Isla feels so lucky to have found Harry, she never thought she could love someone so much after everything that’s happened to her but Harry proved her wrong. She’s so happy with him and she trusts him with everything, she really doesn’t know how she got so lucky 🥺.

Has Harry ever left romantic notes lying around his and Isla's house for her to find, then pretend as though he knew nothing about them? Even if Isla could clearly tell he was lying?

Harry is such an old-school romantic so he’d most definitely write notes for Isla.

If they’re both home together, the notes are less romantic and more silly. Like Isla will wake up after Harry’s went on his morning run and she’ll find a note on the counter which says shit like “gone for a run, your bum looked great this morning, I’ll get you that coffee you like on the way home, what do you want for dinner tonight? PS, saw a spider in the bathroom. Love you!!” like they’re so silly and casual and domestic and they make her smile so much. And when he does come home (with her delicious coffee) they’ll try and find the bathroom spider together, to mixed results and lots of screaming.

If Harry is away and Isla’s still at home, he’ll hide the notes around the house. Isla will be doing things around the house and she’ll find a brightly coloured post-it note hidden behind the tv, or underneath a jar in the cupboard, and even hidden on top of the fridge. After a few times of this happening, Harry and Isla decided to make a game of it! So whenever it gets close to Harry going away and Isla is out all day, Harry will spend the entire day writing out notes for her and hiding them all around the house - he even dates them all so he can see how long it takes isla to find them. And when Harry does go away and isla finds one his notes, she’ll send a picture of the note with a text which says “found it underneath the coffee table, love u h xx” and because Harry is the biggest little shit ever he will 100% pretend it wasn’t him, saying shit like “Isla is someone sneaking into the house?! Isla?!?!” And Isla replies with “u fucking dork I adore you” and Harry’s just like “Isla I’m being serious?!” followed by a “love u more xo”

When Isla is the one away from home, Harry will send her notes and stuff to whatever set she’s on, he’ll text her manager to find out where she is. When the notes arrive Isla’s coworkers will take the mickey and make jokes about it and about how red her ears have gotten but they think it’s fucking adorable and they gush about it sometimes in interviews, like they can see the love those two have for each other. And when Isla texts Harry a picture of what he sent her he’ll reply with shit like “who gave you that? Do you have a secret admirer??” and Isla just rolls her eyes and texts back “shut up I love you 💖🥺”

And when Harry is away on tour, Isla with find out where he is, or get the help of Jeff and Harry’s (Sarah’s) band and get them to hide the notes she’s given them before they left in the room and Harry will be timed to see how good their hiding skills are. When he finally does find it (hidden inside his left Gucci shoe) he’ll text isla saying “found it! Mitch is shit at hiding things, love u so much”.

I think when either of them are away from each other the notes are more lovey than silly, letting each other know how much they miss each other and how much they love each other. And when they do find the notes, they usually joke about it but sometimes I think the note would be something that they needed to hear that day so the text would be more sincere, saying stuff like “I love you more than anything, thank you for my note, I really needed it today. Talk to you later darling xo”

Has Isla ever found herself catching fleeting feelings towards others even though she's with Harry?

Platonic Feelings

I think she catches feelings but not romantic feelings, if that makes sense. She’s been cheated on before and she fucking knows how much that hurts so I don’t think she’d ever do anything like that.

She’s more likely to fall in love with them as a person or platonically, she considers a lot of her coworkers family and even jokes with some of them that they’re her boyfriend / girlfriend / wife / husband / side-hoe / partner if their character had a romantic relationship in the respective projects, and at first Harry’s like “wait what?!” and gets a tiny bit jealous but after Isla explains to him what she means he’s fine with it.

They both have boundaries and have spoken to each other about what they’re comfortable with in terms of their relationship and they definitely understand and respect those boundaries. And they have a rule that if either one of them is uncomfortable with something the other does then they have to listen to each other, no arguments.

That isn’t to say that Isla and Harry don’t find other people (even coworkers) attractive, I think it’s only natural to find people you’re not romantically involved with attractive, and they even joke with each other about it. There’s been many a times where one of them have went “hey, they’re cute right?” and the other agrees with them. And even though they do stuff like this, it’s all in good fun. They love and respect each other so much and they’d never do anything that would jeopardise their relationship, they’re gonna be together forever 🥰
