Inked on My Heart w/ whxtsmyname

Harry shrugged, shoving his hands in his pockets and turning back to her. The cool air felt really good on his heated skin where the tattoo was healing. “Well yer a goddess, darlin’ and everyone should know it,” he teased back, sending her a wink.
“But it was more fer you than me,” he told her, a blush dusting across his cheeks again. This was getting a bit sentimental for them, but she needed to know at least. “I wanted ye t’ know that I lo… I’m loyal t’ all of ye, tentacles and all,” he told her, biting back the word he actually wanted to say.
A dangerous word on the isle.
Uma didn’t think she could blush much more, but Harry seemed determined to make that happen. Or at least try to. His, and the entire crew’s for that matter, devotion to her was still staggering. “Only outside of the barrier.” She murmured, thinking about how she had become a human once again once she got passed it. “Here I’m just an ordinary girl.”
Her breath hitched as he verbalized that he was loyal to her, to all of her. Although, for a second, it had seemed like he was about to say something else entirely, substituting ‘loyal’ at the last minute. That was probably smart of him, because if he had been about to say the word she thought he was, it was definitely dangerous.
She met his gaze steadily. “I’m loyal to you, too.” She told him without hesitation.
Harry couldn’t help but laugh at her words, stepping up close to her so he could take her hand in his, using the hand with the tattoos on it. He brought it up to his lips and pressed a soft kiss to her fingers with a wicked grin.
“Ye’ve never been ordinary, capt’n,” he said earnestly, and the way he said captain sounded more like a loving nickname, than an actual title. Then again, that’s what it seemed to become between the two of them. Instead of saying darling or honey like most couples would, he said Captain. It’s just how he showed his affection in another way. “Yer more special th’n anyone on the isle.”
