It's time to tone down my outfit. Today I got a presentation for my marketing programme at uni, so wanted to make myself become a dandy. Maybe some argue that being a dandy isn't something about what you wear, but it's more about your personality. Anyway, I shouldn't wear clothes that distract audience from hearing my presentation while I'm presenting it.

When asked about Comme Des Garcons, many people would come up with the 'heart logo' and also the 'polka dot' print of Comme Des Garcons Play, the casual street-wear line for young generations. That pair of suits, which I am wearing in the photo, isn't from the Play line, but it shows how the avant-garde elements can be combined with the casual-inspired feel. It's really amazing.

Again, It's Comme Des Garcons. From the coat to trousers, it's all from the last Winter collection, 'Neither Man nor Woman'. The coat represents an oversized exaggerated silhouette and it gives sexless identity. I have talked a lot about the Japanese designer as well as I uploaded a photo of me wearing this coat around a year ago. So... not much to say for this one :S

Yohji Yamamoto is widely known for deconstructed tailoring, avant-garde shaping and dark colours in the fashion scene. I got some pieces of his work, a three-button jacket and a pair of trousers- Yeah, they're not what they look like. they're actually trousers.

Scissor prints on the shabby jacket and its own loosing fitting makes this jacket unique. Also , the pleated trousers inspired by 'hakama', the Japanese traditional clothing worn over kimono, nicely illustrate how high-end fashion can be that practical and comfortable with the wearability.

'DOVER STREET MARKET' MARKET

Interestingly, they didn't promote this big event to many people both online and offline. It seems like only a few of people who subscribe Dover Street Market have received email about this market and now it's kinda spreading by word-of-mouth. I also subscribe Dover Street Market News, but haven't received anything about this. It's not so fair.

Is it all about marketing or what ... ?

Over the past few years, I have been wearing avant-garde clothes only. It's because clothes which have avant-garde elements are eye-catching and also attention-grabbing. I believed it's something that is the best able to express myself through clothing, but now maybe I have to switch to something else for it.

My girlfriend doesn't  want me to wear avant-garde clothes, and recently she keeps bugging me to wear casual clothes. She was almost gonna rip off my Comme Des Garcons trousers, as well. So, I've decided to wear what she wants before things get even worse.

In fact, I'm not getting used to wearing casual clothes yet, but yea... since I found it doesn't look so bad, i might probably change my clothing style.

Victoria and Albert Museum, Fashion Gallery

I recently visited some fashion exhibitions going on at V&A. In fact, I went there a few months ago, but wanted to take a look around once again.

Since it was newly refurbished in 2012, the Fashion Gallery shows European fashion, fabrics and accessories from 1750 to the present day. Of course it's free entry. The display is organised chronologically around the outer circle of the gallery. Also, 'From Club to Catwalk' exhibition is located in the central area and upper level.

What is interesting about those exhibitions is that through the exhibitions, you will be able to experience the fashion the 80s-90s fashion inspired by club scene in London as well as you will gain an insight into the history of fashion. Don't miss out !!

Givenhcy Antigona Clutch Bag

Givenchy presents three different kinds of bags : Antigona, Nightingale, and Pandora. I've recently bought a Givenchy Antigona Clutch Bag. Givenchy Antigona Clutch Bags provide various designs in three different sizes: Small, Medium and Large. In fact, although they are women's clutches, large Antigona clutches are big enough for men.

Of course mine is a black large one, and it doesn't look so bad when I hold it. I am going to post a photo of me wearing it soon.

When asked about the disadvantages of the Givenchy clutches, I would come up with additional pockets and difficulty on keeping the bag's shape. To begin, it doesn't have any additional pock inside of it, and thus it's kind hard to organise and maintain things in the bag.

Also, the goatskin leather doesn't keep the bag in shape for all times. 

Regardless of the drawback, its own simplicity and design make the products, as a-must-have-item, attractive to male consumers.

I had been looking for a black jumpsuit for the last two years since I saw one from the 2011 London College of Fashion Graduation Show. I got so lucky to get one from the www.luisaviaroma.com website.

Damir Doma, the Croatian-born designer, never disappoints high profile international fashion press and buyers since he successfully debuted at Paris Fashion Week in 2007. Through the use of the avant-garde silhouettes and his own selected fabrics, he has established a strong and recognisable image in fashion industry.

This linen jumpsuit with an attached leather pocket again brings not only oversized silhouettes, but also less formal approach to styling. Personally, this is one of my favourite items that I have bought this year. It is because when I feel like dressing up, but I can't be bothered to do it, this jumpsuit is the best option. In fact, the linen fabric garment isn't a good idea for winter season, but since I experienced its own comfortableness, I don't really care about it. I just love it.

Just like SSUR, 40 OZ NYC has become widely known for many designer parody snapback caps. Mine is inspired by the Belgian designer, Maison Martin Margiela.

It has been over almost half an year since I last updated it. While finishing off my undergrad and moving to London to study further for the master degree, I was being so busy for a while. Somehow, I am settling in the new environment and now posting a new picture.

I recently bought a coat at Dover Street Market in London. The good thing about the London DSM is that they offer a free alteration service for its customers. I had to get the sleeves shortened from the shoulder, but they were willing to make the alteration for me without any additional costs.

This coat is from Comme Des Garcons Homme Plus F/W 2013-2014, inspired by an iconic tale 'Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland'. Through the Winter Collections 'the Tree of Youth', Rei Kawakubo predominantly represented the stages of men's life : youth, adulthood and old age. Decorated by varied brocades, candy sweet styles, chain mail pattern and pompons, she brought a girly femininity to menswear again. Her work metaphorically delivers messages and such fashion narratives make her clothes mean a lot beyond fashion. In fact, some critics point out that she embraces herself in her own sense of humour and thus her clothes are somewhat unwearable, but who cares. I really lover her work.
