when i have free time i plan to bring this askblog back

i dont know if anyone who follows this is even active anymore, and if they are, if they're into ahit anymore- which is why im gonna ask that if you're interested in seeing this blog again, and you would share it with other ahit fans, please like this post. my free time would start earliest at late summer break, latest at.. i have no clue- considering i have a bunch of other projects i'd like to finish before starting a new one. more details + rambling under the cut !

if i did start this blog up again, i would probably redraw some of the initial non-ask posts, and sum up the story (to retcon any stuff i look back on and think Wow, my writing sucked !) and also to make an actual story cause Being Honest i was just bullshitting my way through everything. the main reason this blog stopped in the first place is cause i was getting a general bad vibe from the "ahit fandom" and decided to stop posting about the game at all in the main tag. but, recently, i've felt very sad i left the community behind. while yeah, the community had its problems Especially with putting certain artists on a pedestal, and i met people who were into shit i Didnt Like.. there were people i liked there, people i considered more than mutuals- friends. but, it all just went away, and now i feel like a stranger to them all. which i basically am. plus, i've been feeling really nostalgic for my aus and stuff, and i miss having an askblog. again i havent really Completely started fully interacting with the community yet so for all i know the fandom could just be non-existent at this point, but like. I'm Gonna Try!!!! at the very least i'll start editing my theme and links and everything so i dont have to do it later. but for rn thats all if you wanna follow my main blog its @bastardsonic (yes i know its a silly url. i used to be matching with other people but it stuck to me)

UPDATE

remember when i gave a sneak peek for something in [checks notes] october. yeah. i thought it had been even longer than that so thats good but im still sorry for saying nothing for so long haha anyway, my tablet broke, which is why nothing came of that little teaser. BUT! ive got a new one now and im getting back in the groove of digital art again, and subsequently, have been thinking about this blog again. just thinking. meaning- dont expect anything super soon. but i have been doing stuff in regards to it. writing stuff about bow kid's situation, changing hat scientist's design here and there, and just thinking in general about stuff to do for the story. more under the cut! :D

ill be honest- when i started this blog, i didnt have any.. plans for it. i just. Did it. no plot outline, just BOOM. hat kid scientist. to see it get so popular was so shocking for me- and i thank you all for how fun its been- especially the magic anon! i got so many asks for that!! i know a lot of people have unfollowed cause of my inactivity, but to those who are still here, thank you so so much! but, going back to there being no plot outline- its like trying to build a house without support beams. its gonna fall apart eventually. some stuff ive done im going to retcon out- and because of that, im going to make a summary post when i do eventually start the blog up again. it'll be full of stuff you already know, and stuff ive changed around/added in- probably redraws of old scenes, too. in regards to my art- its grown a bunch since i first started this blog! for reference, you can see my main blog's art tag in order here and the first ever image i made for this blog below... looking back on it now is.. oof. glad ive come this far, haha

shit, sorry for not saying it before but.

this blog will be on a hiatus for an unknown amount of time.

i’ll explain. as much as i love drawing answers to these asks, and how much i love this au and that im proud of it, im going to stop. it might be a few months, or forever. it’s because.. i dont feel very comfortable in the a hat in time fandom anymore. also, i barely get any asks anymore. my peak was the cool kid hsci m/a, where i woke up to almost 4 asks in my inbox (yes, i know that seems like very few compared to.. bigger blogs.) of course, i occasionally draw ahit content on my main blog, @bastardsonic, or if you just wanna check out my other posts/art. if i ever change my url, ill try my best to remember to update the url in this blog’s bio. sorry. i just dont feel comfortable being in this fandom anymore because.. honestly? there’s a lot of weirdos. but..

A strange day for Hat Scientist, for sure. Two people she barely knows are spending the night on her ship, the island they live on currently being filled with lava. Finishing up her report, the girl sighs, knowing that these two will probably want to stay on her ship another night at least. "Well... better go figure out what to do now." (WARNING! this is kinda long so if you dont wanna read all of it do NOT click read more) 

It's late. 2 am, to be precise. Mustache Girl is still awake, contemplating that choice she made. glad it rained a bit today... it'll help with the remaining lava.. but I still feel like crap for what I did.. i.. should try to sleep soon. I can think about it more when I wake up... maybe..? Stepping outside her bedroom, Hat Scientist gently calls out her name. "..Mustache Girl?" She lightly gaps, not expecting Hat Scientist to be there. "Uh, hey.. What is it?" Mustache Girl is lying on a pile of pillows, near the window of the spaceship. "You should... go to sleep soon. Tomorrow I'll drop you off, back to Mafia Town. Unless... you'd wish to stay." "... can I?" "Well, yeah.. I'm fine with it.... it's just that, I'm going to explore another place on this planet tomorrow.. so.." Mustache Girl's eyes lit up in excitement. "I.. I could go with you! And help you out!" "You'll just have to help me document everything..." She looks around."I.. might have an extra clipboard?" "...Thank you. I'm gonna get some sleep, so I'm ready for that tomorrow." "Of course.. but, what about that jar with the remains of the Mafia Boss? Will the Mafia still not attack everyone?" "Well, yeah. I gave it to the townsfolk so they can scare off the Mafia while I was gone." "Alright.. well.. Goodnight. I'm... sorry about all this." Hat Scientist starts to walk to another room, when Mustache Girl starts speaking. "Wait. No.. I'm sorry. I overreacted, and caused this whole mess. I shouldn't have done that to the whole town.. I couldn't help it. In that moment I just wanted the Mafia to feel my hatred for them, and.. I.." Starting to cry, she silences herself. Hat being concerned, walks over to Mustache Girl and hugs her. "It's ok. I understand. Don't worry. If.. you need to cry into my pillows, it's fine. I can clean them." "thank.... you." Hat Scientist walks up to the kitchen, checking to make sure the cat is okay. She's sleeping, and next to her is a note and a plate with cookies. Before satisfying her urge to eat the cookies, she reads the note. 

"Hey, thanks again for letting me stay on your ship! I didn't get to introduce myself cause I went straight to bed, but I'm writing this note so you can still get to know me! The name's Cooking Cat, and I'm the cat that cooks! I have these cookies that I made right before this whole lava incident, so I had them on me the whole time! Y'all are free to eat them. It's a gift for letting me stay here for the night! Aliens are much more interesting than I thought! Hopefully you enjoy cookies.. if not, I can happily make something else!" 

Hat eats half of the cookies, and saves the rest for Mustache Girl. "Well.... I should get to bed... tomorrow will be interesting.." For once on this journey, she's in a good mood as she falls asleep. Hat Scientist wakes up to the sound of her alarm, but instead of grunting out of bed she jumps out, excited for what today may bring her. Soon, all this dumb research will be done, and she can go back home. Walking out of her bedroom, she sees that Mustache Girl and Cooking Cat are already wide awake, talking with each other. "Good morning, Captain." "Oh, good morning, Rumbi! How’s it going?” “The two guests were waiting for you to awaken. Now that you’re awake, they will listen to your plans.” She smiled. “So, Cooking Cat wants to help too, huh?”

Cooking Cat and Hat Scientist are currently in Mafia Town, Hat getting a little bit more research before leaving, and Cooking Cat making sure she has everything she needs. And yes, you can interact with them! Mustache Girl would be there too.. but.. uh. Y’know...... she doesn’t want to be seen there for a while. Magic anons are also allowed!

not pertaining to the certain situation, but how do hat kid and mustache girl see each other at the moment- and is that possibly subject to change in the future?

right now, hat scientist is worried about mu. she knows she’s been through...a lot. of course she cares about the other residents of mafia town, cc was just the only one that wanted and needed to stay somewhere else for a bit. but she’s mainly worried mustache girl. she sees her as someone who thinks she knows what she’s doing, but just like herself is also a kid, and needs help, but tries to hide it.mustache girl on the other hand, is filled with many different and conflicting emotions. she doesn’t know why h-sci decided to come back, or even help her with a place to stay for a while. she sees hat scientist as a very mature person, but also strange, coming from another planet, researching her and her ways.these views are definitely going to change, as they become better friends throughout the story.im really sorry i havent updated here much!!! im so invested in sonic rn... but i will work on the next post some more! i promise it’ll be soon, if not please raid my askbox with virtual slaps to the face

Just hours ago, the island was flooded with lava, the citizens losing hope. Mustache Girl hadn’t told everyone of her plan, and even those who did were in disbelief that this would help get rid of the Mafia, and would probably end up killing some of the innocents. (WARNING! this is kinda long so if you dont wanna read all of it do NOT click read more)

But now, the water is flowing again, slowly restoring the town’s original state. Townsfolk are still scared, though. Lava is still flooding some of the town and from the looks of it wont be completely gone until a few days. A lot of people were mad at Mustache Girl. The moment she was in eyesight people would start yelling, which is usually only common with the Mafia. She just wanted to hide in her cave for a few days, wait it out- the angry people, and the lava. But she can’t. The lava is still above it. So, where else is she supposed to go? She can’t concentrate at all. Too many things are happening, or just happened. Wherever she tries to rest people yell at her, the Mafia, the townsfolk, or even both. Her plan backfired in more ways then one, and.. she does feel bad about what she said to Hat Scientist. A few hours earlier, after Mustache Girl told Hat Scientist that she flooded the town...

Hat Scientist mumbles. “...Not.. your own town.. “ “What?” Confused, Mustache Girl asked her to repeat herself. “I... only really came here.. To make sure you were okay. Now that I have confirmed your safety, I am going to leave.” Mustache Girl.. looked shocked. “You’re just.. going to leave me here? Alone..? Why.. what... You.. You only care about your research, don’t you?” “Wh...? What??” “Yeah.. yeah. You just want to know as much as you can about this planet- wait.. No, no.. you’re even worse, aren’t you...” She looks like she’s about to cry. Maybe she is, but her tears could be being dried up from the intense heat. “You’re.. You betrayed me, just so you could squeeze the last bit of information I had of my planet out of me! You just wanted to.. You only care about your research!” “N-no! Why would I ever do that? I care! It’s just that, I have resea- Okay, okay, I have research I need to do, but! It’s for a reason! If I come back home, barely any new information, it’ll be.. bad! And.. I need to get home fast! I’ve.. taken a lot longer then I was supposed to!” Hat Scientist has a face of regret, fear, and shock, all mixed into one. She doesn’t know what to do, she’s not trying to betray Mustache Girl. “Yeah, right. You just wanted to use me.. just like everyone else. The only friends I had are gone now, and they were the only friends I could ever make! Everyone else in this world is a big jerk, aren’t they?! I can’t trust anyone else.... why..? I... I hate this! I hate you! You should just get stranded in space, a cold, empty, dark part of space!” “..I.. okay.. no.. You’re- you really..” Hat Scientist sighs, a few tears running down her cheeks. “I’m going now.” It started to rain. Good timing, the lava wasn’t going to lower any quicker... but.. Mustache Girl was still upset with herself.

She looks to the sky, sobbing. “I’m... sorry. I’m just.. a big idiot, Hat Scientist.” “No you aren’t.” “Huh- huh????” Mustache Girl turned around to find her there. “What..???” Still crying, her face became a mess of sadness and shock. “Why are you.. here??” “Listen... The lava’s still here. And it’s raining. You can’t sleep out in the cold. I’m letting you and someone else stay at my spaceship, cause.. this isn’t right. You’ve.. made a mistake, but since you actually regret it, I think you deserve some help.” As Hat Scientist says this, the mentioned other person can be seen peeking from a nearby wall. A cat, wearing cooking attire, who the two once bumped into accidentally the night they invaded the Mafia’s HQ. Ignoring the cat, Mustache Girl questions if she’s serious. “....... I... really? You’re going to help me.. after that?” “Of course. You wanna go now? Or.. do you still have stuff to do?” “Uh... I’m good.. I’ll follow you, sure.. thank you..” Mustache Girl answers back, sniffling. SO!!!! this sure happened! dbs is Soon do not worry. and cooking cat does get a major role in this au! asks are still not gonna be answered i apologize, im working on another big post similiar to this one....but i am gonna take a break from writing it! i’m not used to writing so yeahhjdsjfhj it’ll be fun i hope!
