personally my take on the whole calling out ai in fics/“witchhunt” discourse is you should just write fic that is good enough that ppl can’t possibly confuse it with AI. and that bar is LOW. i don’t get why we treat fic as this special kind of art that no one should ever criticize because people are trying(?) and because people are beginners(?) some stuff is better than others. that’s fine. it’s fine to have room to improve. i disagree with the premise that we shouldn’t call out AI use in fics bc some people might actually write like that (no one really does) — if they did actually write like that, that would also be Not Good lol
