Why is Park Shin Hye characters in Memories of Alhambra Gif always in tears, worried or on the verge of break down? It’s very over dramatic! comparing to HyunBin or his ex-wife (she should be the only one to have the break down cause her current husband die)

Is this Park Shin Hye choice of acting or it’s a part of her character in the serie?

2018 Cdramas show chinese TV industry can produce gorgeous cinematography, exquisite costumes, epic battles, grand sets. BUT it has a district disease:

Too Long! Too Many Episodes!

2018 #cdrama industry had produced epic amount of series with each serie epic amount of episodes. I'm sorry but it's like a sweat shop: quantity over quality. Why's Chinese drama industry this way? It's always been long before, but this year has become an epidemic! Majority of #cdrama this year ranges from 40-70 episodes: #legendoffuyao has 67. #storyofyanxipalace has 70. #RuyisroyalLoveinthePalace has 87 episodes😧😵. Can industry insiders or expert fans explain to me - Why there is a concious effort to make it epicly long? Im stupidfied!

I like drama over film, because you have time to flush out characters & storylines more. But this's overkill. It actually hurt the drama. So much of cdramas I watch this year could have use the help of scissors in the editing suit. It's always the same, interesting cool first 10-20 episodes, then it (very) sluggishly die off (time for fast forward button). Any sizzling chemistry characters has with each, any thrilling storylines fizzle out in these mid-serie filler episodes. Not to mention story that was written & edited to make no sense (I'm talking to u - #温暖的弦 I feel cheated by the director stringing me along to such stupid story)

I don't know any viewers appreciate unnecessary fillers. Not only it waste viewers time, it waste producers, director, actors, crews Time & $$. If this continues...I guess I will be calling #Cdramas = background drama, cause I will have to put it on background while I'm doing stuff. Who can waste so much time in such long dull series?

These 3 series has numerous things in common: crackling chemistry between casts, beautiful cinematography, meaningful storylines, and Questionable Ending!

Life on Mars: story is so complex, funny, meaningful. They constantly have you question the meaning of life - what make you happy? what’s important in your life? But the director made a clear concious choice to end the serie with: main guy choosing his happy illusion world over the real world.

Tae-Joo is successful in the real world but he’s unhappy & just going through the motion. The world in his comma, he’s happy, he comes to trust peoples, develope friendships, love interest...etc. (director made it clear that he was in a comma, didn’t leave it vague to interpretation.) Thus Tae-Joo choose to follow his heart - where he’s happiest. He leaves his mom & jump off the building to return to his comma world

I know this is art. It doesn’t have to be conventional, stick to social norm, there is no right and wrong....but but..what does it says to viewers (especially to young fans) instead of fixing you unhappy life in the real world - you chose leave your family behind -> jump off the building to be in a happy “comma/state of mind”?

Are you human, too?: this is a good script too! Funny, humane, question what is it to be a human? But....romantacise, idealise all the way to one end. Making the human Shin bad, and making robot Shin so loveable and humane

The Ghost Detective: writer & director ends with main girl staying happily with the ghost detective, doing supernatural detective work. As much as viewers love the paring. writers and directors want viewers to ship & think the main girl and ghost have a happy life. It’s happy now,

Sara, a college graduate, has always been below average in everything. Stuck with no prospect, she spends her days working at her family coffee shop or reading comic books, day dreaming of epic scenarios. By luck her aunt got her a secretary job for a famous novelist - John, a charismatic writer who reached stardom after writing best selling thriller novels. The great first impression Sara has of the writer soon washes away as she discovers the man is actually weird, sarcastic, has strange habits and is hard to please. John is asked to write a script for a Tv series, but he experiences writer block three episodes in, also having constant artistic conflicts with the directors & actors. At a brainstorm session with his writer assistants, John asks Sara for ideas. Unable to comes up with a unique idea, John lashes out and criticizes her of being unprofessional, doesn't seems to know to do anything, poor writing skill, lack overall knowledge of the publishing/novel/writing industry. Crying on her way home, she determined to do what ever it take to become a pro. Unfortunately, she encounters traffic collision...When she wakes up, she found herself in a strange universe. Somehow she's in side world John has created in his script. Her parent is not her parent, actors & director are not actors and director but people. She is not John secretary but a successful coffee barista who lives next door to John's office. She has a hard time believing it was real, but after numerous tries to "wake up." She discovers she has the ability to change this world with her thoughts, thus she decides to flex her writing muscles and change the narrative of this world to her choices, as a result also changing John's script.

what is happening?

“Ghost detective” ends with the main guy still remains as ghost and continue living a loving detective life with main girl...So the main girl going to live her whole life with a ghost? this stupid idea is too much Kdrama writers! As much as I love the main couple...that’s not an ideal life to say the least. Writer cop out change the rule and made main ghost guy solid (and not transparent) - so the main couple could theoretically get some solid skinship action.

Seon-woo's love for No-Eul is a marvelous thing to witness, overcome his disability, physicall wheel himself to No-Eul house drench in sweat...i guess that’s why people say love can move mountains.

But I hope Seung-Hyo won't step aside for Seon-woo in regard to No-Eul and his budding romance. You can’t force love. It's important for Seon Woo to let No-Eul knows and brings closure and live his life to the fullest how ever short and equally important for No-Eul to bring closure the right way when the time comes for Seon-woo. Like any human, she deserves a second chance.

Meeting beween Seung-Hyo and Seon Woo was such a great scene, perceptive and respectful. Seung - Hyo wasn't pushy or overstepped his boundaries, letting Seon-woo dictates what he wants to do and say.
