hi :3 im a multiply disabled 20 y/o trans girl. im moderate autistic and chronically suicidal- due to conditions out of my control. i had to drop out of high school, and in my country that makes jobs way less available- im lucky enough to work fulltime but it pays very little.

im going to get my adult leavers cert, but that requires time taken off work i cant really afford to take :/

theres a huge variety of things that would make life less painful rn- disability supports, furniture more suited to my chronic pain, etc

i know its a lot to ask, but i really need help making things less Actively Hostile to me- hopefully this is the last time i have to ask for help! things are looking up once i can afford to take the adult diploma!

Landlord Update:

What's making me a bit nuts about the situation in my neighbourhood with these mass evictions, besides the basic horror of it and the paperwork, is just how deeply inadequate UK housing law is in the first place.

Everyone here has an eviction notice or an enormous rent increase or both. That's because it's legal for a landlord to buy a whole neighbourhood at once and just chuck out dozens of eviction notices and raise rents to whatever they like.

You can challenge the rent increase by going to a rent tribunal, but the rent tribunal's job isn't to find a fair arrangement, it's to "determine a fair market rent" for the property. So if you had a rent control in your contract, you could have had affordable rent protected by your Tenancy Agreement for decades until the Renter's Rights Act deleted all rent control clauses, FUCKING OOPSIE?! So for people who have families and are on benefits (UK welfare) are just completely fucked and going to be torn away from their kids unless there's a drastic intervention by local or governmental authorities into an obviously wrong situation.

The place where I live was built to be affordable housing. It was even housing people off council accommodation waiting lists who ended up having super long term housing here, but the post-Thatcher climate was insane so it was somehow necessary for this to be a private company. This estate in particular just never should have been on the private market because what happened is just what was always going to happen: a greedy landlord with no sense of shame or morals just came and followed the profit incentive. Law set up around housing that ruthlessly governs people's homes only through the free market is deeply cruel, immoral and above all else completely tapped in the head.

On a moral level it's transparent that a group of families who have lived in the same place for decades and decades they should have control of the place they live and be able to have their rents go towards improving their homes instead of paying off a huge loan that a guy took because he wanted to be the guy collecting on the huge loan on the neighbourhood instead of the previous guy. The commodity is purely the enemy of human decency and it shouldn't be allowed to govern basic human needs.
