Two souls of the damned being punished to an eternity of torture.
Second Circle of Hell
It sounds exactly as I imagined.
this felt like some kind of modern poem. so,
we are not born to die!! what are you talking about!! do you think a book begins just to finish? do you think a song opens with a beautiful chord just for it to end? you don’t read the book to finish it, you read the book to eat up the excitement and the emotions it evokes!! to learn and to digest and to fall in love and be heartbroken!! you listen to the song to dance and dance and sing your throat raw!!! to cry and smile and swell with the harmonies!! yes, we are born with the inevitable fate of death, we are mortal after all, but that is merely the finale of the play!! the final act, the closing of the curtains - we are not born to take a bow and exit stage left!! we are born to love and be joyous and yell and move and learn and cry and feelfeelfeel!!! we are not born to die, silly, we’re born to live!!!
This is so violently hopeful and uplifting everyone needs to see it

This is blatant [REDACTED]phobia
I love how the message of Frankenstein isn’t “don’t play god and commit hubristic acts of mad science” but instead “when you commit a hubristic act of mad science you are responsible for parenting whatever comes out of it”
No Way Home screening was cancelled due to sound issues and saw this in the lobby

They told me to put my heart in everything I do. So that’s what I did, and I poured and I poured and I poured. Now they ask me why I am so empty and confused. Drawing and illustration Felicia Chiao on instagram.
fucked up that i can’t listen to a podcast, listen to an album, study, draw, read a book, watch a tv show, watch a movie, journal, facetime a friend, go on a hike, go on a run, and bake all at the same time 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 guess the only option is to do nothing

Hey, Big Al, why do all the people in my life with ADHD have such a weird sense of humor?
Oh, that’s ‘cause we’re all super understimulated.
What does that even mean?
Imagine that the inside of your brain had an itch that you really couldn’t scratch, but that itch was actually boredom, but that boredom was actually pain.
Oh, I see, yeah, that- that helps me none, zero at all. It also sounds pretty terrifying.
No, it- it’s really not a big deal, you just kinda have to learn to restructure your life around it, including comedy.
Okay, so how does it affect the way that you interpret comedy?
So a side effect of understimulation is that your brain is constantly and more often than others’ active. You’re always thinking, you’re always analyzing, you’re always trying to problem solve. Because of exactly that, normal comedy and normal humor is a bit predictive, and doesn’t really land with people with ADHD.
So what does land with people with ADHD?
Stark, abrupt chaos. Because it cannot be predicted, nor calculated.
Okay, so what would that even look like?
Why did the chicken cross the road?
Okay, why?
The Fitnessgram Pacer Test is-
That landed for me
Quiet…… I am Yearning
Because of this image, specifically
#romance#listen i know that Courtly Love ™ is a much analyzed thing that has Layers and such#but i just gotta look at the YEARNING AND LOVE IT SOMETIMES#because what i love about this picture#is how it looks like both parties desperately want to be properly embracing#face to face arms really AROUND each other so they can kiss#but for some reason that we can’t see in the painting htis is impossible#neither the knight or the lady have turned their bodies physically away from their intended staircase paths#the knight isn’t craning his head any more to the right to see her face#and the lady is turning her face to the wall#and all they can snatch together is this brief desprate and infinitely tender moment LIKE I YEARN MY HOES I YEARN#you can imagine that they arranged it so carefully between themselves at some previous date#that they would pass each other on the stairs just for this brief moment#so the lady could hold her hand out and the knight could kiss it#the lady turning her face away for deniability#and the knight easily able to let her go and pretend it was just a chance brush#DARN STAR-CROSSED LOVE I’M WEAK Y'ALL ( @takiki16 )
For those (like me before finding out) who are wondering which painting is presented here : It’s The Meeting on the Turret Stairs by Frederick William Burton ! I adore it.
Hi, yeah, do you want to yearn and ache some more because OOF
