i had to dig for this because scans of this are very hard to come by online (shoutout to @pitchforkred for uploading a full 72 page scan of the 2006 velvet boxset booklet a few years back, what an incredible resource) but here's gerard talking about the pool. i highly suggest reading the rest of the booklet, it's such an interesting look into where their heads were at while recording the black parade.
