It’s hard to believe. I retired this blog long ago, but there isn’t one day where I don’t think about Rik. I remain forever grateful to him, and to all of you great twats ;) who continue to celebrate and remember him.
Although I’ve moved on considerably in the past 2 years, I’ll never forget how devastating that day, and the days and weeks and months after, were. I couldn’t have gotten through it without all of you.
Since today is in fact the 22nd of May, seemed like this needed to be posted.

Thank you all for continuing to reblog my past posts and keep the Riklove going. He would want us all to keep adoring him and crying over him, wouldn't he? I couldn't continue this blog after he passed. Just too painful. Can't believe it's been been 10 months today. Still feels like yesterday. Still hurts so much. There will be a hole in my heart forever in the shape of that fucking twat.

i was looking at photos of rik online just now and was just suddenly hit with a wall of immense gratitude and unconditional love that completely washed out all my grief (if only momentarily…)
my god, we were SO FUCKING LUCKY to have had this man touch our lives.
he taught us: how to laugh at ourselves, that you can be silly and be yourself and still be beautiful and sexy, that generosity is paramount, that you should always question authority, that you should stand up for what you believe in even if it makes you unpopular, that hard work really does pay off, that you should take pride in everything that you do, that you should never apologize for who you are…

I hate writing this: 8 months.
Seven months. Seven fucking months.
just watched the bbc tribute. i am beyond words. my heart is overflowing with such great love and such great sadness.
6 months. still wake up every morning and can't believe it. everything has changed in these last 6 months. your death was like a butterfly effect in my life. i haven't laughed like i did before 6/9/14. and i never will again. my heart aches to believe, to know, that you are still somewhere, another plane of existence, and will be there when i arrive someday. but my head knows you are gone. you are gone. and all i can do now is try to live my life in a way that would make you proud.
my best wishes to rik's family today (and always). may his bench bring them joy, and may they always know how loved he was. and always will be.
