Everything had happened so fast, it almost made Conrad's head spin (not helped by the not insignificant amount of beer he'd had himself throughout the night.) He'd seen someone throw beer onto a girl he had a few immediate thought about. Pretty. Loud. Seemed a little bitchy, but it was hard to blame someone who'd just gotten soaked with beer by some douchebag at a party. Being accused of looking at her boobs quickly turned the brunette's ears and nose a dusty red, dark umber eyes quickly averting, "Hey, I was...no yeah, I definitely was staring." Conrad admitted, too tipsy to attempt the lie as a small and sheepish grin grew across his face, shrugging his letterman jacket from his shoulders as he held it out to the Christine and now purposefully keeping his eyes on her face.

"In my defense though, they are very nice." he said, before seeming to think about something for a moment. Then, without another word, he quickly peeled his own shirt away, tossing it over his shoulder. "There- solidarity, or somethin' like that." He said with an easy smile.

She rolled her eyes a little when he started to claim he wasn't looking at her boobs, but then owned up to it. "Yeah, you and every hormone driven teenage boy here." She said. It was the reason they threw beer on her to begin with, the reason they were hoping she would get topless, ever since one of the basketball jocks said he had got to second base with her.

She took the jacket from him and pulled it on, the jacket instantly swallowing her tiny frame.

"Thanks." She said quietly.

Christine then rose a single brow and looked at him again. "I'm not sure that's a compliment you should give a girl, but I am pretty sure you have heard all about them, seems they are the talk of the locker room." She grumbled, but before her thoughts could sink in, she let out a laugh as he pulled his own top off. "Solidarity. Yeah, pretty sure your pecs aren't going to be the talk of school, but thanks." She said, a small smirk pulling at the corner of her lips.

"Hey Jock, do the decent thing and give a girl your jacket." Christine called, peeling the wet white top from her skin, so it no longer stuck to her chest. Obviously not removing it, she wasn't that stupid, she knew that was the reason the threw their beer at her.

"Come on, come on, a girl could die of fucking hyperthermia here." She said, holding her hand out to him. "Stop staring at my boobs, and hand over your jacket."

A hum from Billy. "Oh I'm well aware that it's all part of some people's lure." Billy said. "Just I wouldn't do it with that group of guys." He said with a nod. "They're trouble."

Her arms crossed over her chest as she looked at him, a single brow twitching up "So am I." She replied.

"Very valiant of you to feel like I need protection." She then mused. "They must be pretty bad... or you are trying to prove something." She teased a little.

"As much as I want to just pass out here, I know for a fact that if we fall asleep on the couch, we are going to wake up worse than we already are going to." The ache in her bones was already setting up from the fight. The bed would at least allow them to have a little less pain when they woke up.

"I use that love to my advantage." She teased, smiling at him. She leans against him as they make their way up the stairs. Slow and a bit unsteady as the two of them stumble into the bedroom. She crawls into the bed, settling up next to him before resting her head on the pillow next to his.

He hummed a little as she curled into him. He rolled onto his side, wrapping his arm around her, kissing her head lightly. "You can keep doing that by the way.... use that love to your advantage." He breathed, his eyes closing as he took a deep breath, and then relaxed. "Cause I will always love you." He mumbled as he let the exhaustion take over and drifted off to sleep.

He felt the heat of the sun on his face, blinding him a little as he opened his eyes. It was too damn early to be woken up in his opinion.

He pulled Elie close to him, groaning a little as he buried his head in her neck. Maybe they could just stay here all day. Afterall, everything ached far too much to give a shit about the outside world.

Billy curled closer with a pleased hum in his throat. He can’t help thinking that that’s the problem; he’s not used to being equal with anyone. He’s always tried to project being better even when he felt inferior. Or in the case of his ex and his father.. just take the abuse for being lesser and hope it led to being cared for. But Steve? Steve sees him as on the same level. A person worth the softness of this moment and so many more. Sometimes it’s a little suffocating just because Billy’s scared to lose it.

“I won’t pretend I even knew what I was hoping to achieve. I still regret the worst of it. Never wanted to hurt you but couldn’t seem to keep from doing it.” How Steve grew to love him anyway he’ll never know.

"I think, in a way, we were both scared." He said softly. "You were the first guy I was attracted to. I mean, sure, I have looked at guys before you, but you were definitely my full awakening." He said softly

"And in a way that scared the shit out of me." He admitted.

"I don't regret any of it Billy. We had to do that, to be here. We had to have that moment to realise what we meant to each other. To figure out how this would work and how we would work." He told him.

"I fucked up big time with Nancy, I wasn't going to fuck up with you."

His fingers lightly twisted some of Billy's curls in his fingers, his lips against the top of his head, breathing him in.

"It was all worth it Babe." He then said softly.

Stop, he can't handle that pout! Even if it was brief its like he could sense it coming and was disarmed immediately and this is why she is some kind of spell caster in his mind weaving her enchantments to bend minds or enchant.

He giggles as his cheek is kissed and drums against his lap with his fingers. He's got adhd he can't sit still to save his life, but he's trying. " Aw, come on, doll, you would've been fine. You're strong, but I don't want that. I like being here with ya. I'm selfish; you make my day better. "

"Eddie. You were here when it happened... if it hadn't been for you, snapping me out of it, and getting me the help I needed... who knew what would of happened to me." She breathed.

Her hands stroked down the front of his chest, as she dangled over him still. She enjoyed being close to him. "I would of probably had more than this broken leg, that's for sure." She told him. Ok, she did have more, but her broken wrists were now out of their casts, and the rest of her was mending. All apart from this damned leg, with its pins, and everything else holding it together.

"I like being here with you too." She whispered softly. "You make me feel safe, and happy, and you accept me the way I am."

" I know. " She can't say because then it'll make things real but the fact that Jonathan has yet to be here for her in the way that Steve does so naturally is really disappointing.

She knows they aren't going to last because what they're fighting for is over. Their relationship feels more like playing house than anything real but she also feels guilty even thinking about that without Holly being by her side.

She sighs. " We'll get her and... my mom will heal... and my dad... will ... " Her lip wobbles as tears well up and spill from her eyes.

He would be blind if he hadn't noticed that Nancy and Jonathan didn't appear as close as they once had been. And it broke his heart to think that she thought she was facing this alone. She wasn't. And he would do anything to make her realise that.

As she speaks, he listens to her. One thing he didn't really do before. But he had grown. When the tears start to spill, he turns a little more to her and wraps his arms around her.

"Hey now, come on, no need to cry." He says soothingly, stroking her back as he pulls her into his chest. "Hey, Your Mom will be fine, she's strong, she's a fighter, like you, and your Dad will be fine, and Holly is just like you, strong, she is fine, we'll get her back and then we'll kick Vecna's ass." He breaths, resting her head on hers. "You're not facing any of this alone Nancy, you don't have to, we're all here, we all feel it, we're all family now." He whispers. They had faced too much together to not be a family. "We are going to do this."

Adrenaline and grief had a funny way of pushing you forward and weighing you down at the same time. Which probably explained why they were able to stand after the fight for so long. Now though? Now her body felt heavy, barely able to keep her eyes open. She hums at the kiss to her forehead with a soft smile pulling at the corners of her lips. "Why don't we do just that. Well, maybe not a month but sleep at least." She offers gently. Cause the idea of just crawling into bed, cozy and forgetting the world existed outside of the four walls of the room felt like the most amazing idea yet. A hand slaps gently down on his thigh as she uses the strength she has to push up off the couch. "Come on, Harrington. Let's go crawl into bed." She offers her hand to him.

Steve rest his head against hers, his eyes softly closing, breathing starting to even a little as he relaxed. "Mmm, bed does sound...good." He breathed softly.

As she slaps her thighs, his eyes open and he looks at her, part of him was ready to just fall asleep there on the couch, because the thought of getting up again. He looked at her and groans, grabbing her hands and pulling himself up "You're lucky I love you. I was so ready to sleep here." He teased lightly.

He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her with him towards the stairs, climbing them and flopping onto the bed, opening his arms "Come here."

“Maybe you don’t need it but you do deserve it.” Billy would not be moved on that feeling. His boyfriend has been through so much shit in the past few years and he deserves to be told how loved he is. Plus he’s always secretly loved the sappy cute shit, he’s just never experienced it.

“I just want to make sure you never feel unappreciated again. You’re kinda one of two reasons I’m even still around so I owe a lot to you.”

Billy melted in Steve’s hold, nuzzling lovingly against his chest. The heartbeat under his ear where he chose to rest his head helped to soothe him. “I’m just glad you realized finally that I was pulling your pigtails. Not the best way to show I liked you but it was the only way I knew how.”

Steve smiled and stroked his hand over Billy's head lightly, his eyes on his boyfriend. He kissed the top of Billy's head as he rest it on his chest. "You don't make me feel unappreciated. I promise." He said softly. "And you owe me nothing Billy. This relationship is not about owing anyone anything, we are equals in this relationship." He smiled.

He then laughed "Glad I realised, or glad you finally gave up trying to get me to like you by beating the crap out of me?" He teased lightly and wrapped both his arms around Billy, kissing his head again and smiling.

"Well, I am glad we both woke up and realised what it was we both needed and wanted." He replied.

Upon seeing her smile Evan couldn't help but return it and gladly followed her wordless invitation to sit with her. Hearing that she was listening to the music to relax he felt a bit like an intruder. "Oh, have I disturbed you? Sorry."

At her questions he shrugged. "Truthfully, I haven't thought further than saying 'hello' to you." The blond chuckled somewhat sheepishly. "What is your definition of 'doing something useful'?" Being best friends with Elie made him cautious at phrasings like this as they tended to end up in trouble if he let her choose their activity.

She looked up into his eyes and then scooted over a little to make more room for him as he sat down.

"Evan. You could never disturb me." She smiled "I mean it, I love your company. It Always makes things seem happier." She breathed.

"Well thats ok, sometimes that all it take is a hello." She said.

"Honestly, I can't think of anything useful, so... we could listen to music. Might be easier in my car though, cause then we wouldn't need to try and share my headphones." She laughed "So, if you want to join me there." She smiled.

He points up at her from where he's laying on her lap and honestly she doesn't even need to try so hard because he will always give her what she wants. He has to play hard to get though ~

" I don't let anyone play with my hair but for you chrissy? Go right ahead. " He smiles and then sits up and gets on the floor between her legs so it will be easier for her to do his hair.

She was about to pout when he pointed at her and started to talk, saying he didn't let anything play with his hair. But when he said she could, her face lit up and she beamed at him.

As he moved between her legs, she lent forwards and kissed his cheek. "Thank you." She breathed. She reached for her comb which was close by and carefully parted his hair, going carefully through his curls, and braiding them. Her fingers moved swiftly and delicately through his curls, till she had done a couple of braids in his hair. She then draped her arms over his shoulders, leaning into him and kissing his cheek lightly. "I honestly don't know how I would survive any of this without you."
