I hope you don’t mind that I narrowed this down to Vox, Alastor, and Valentino, nonny!
You can clearly tell I had the most ideas for Alastor but let’s just ignore that okay,,okay
Overlords & Their S/O Being Exterminated
♤ Valentino knows he can’t do anything about what’s just happened.
♠︎ He wants revenge, but just doesn’t want to risk his life as well. Maybe he sends some of his lackeys to go out and make an attempt.
♤ Not a day goes by where Valentino doesn’t think about his lost s/o. He goes a long time staying in private, sulking about it; and rightfully so, since they were the only demon he really cared for.
♤ Valentino truly prefers to live (mostly) in peace and remember his s/o, rather than enact revenge upon those who killed them. Though, he certainly wouldn’t complain if he managed to achieve this.
♠︎ There’s a little shrine of remembrance crafted for his s/o. Valentino decorates it with trinkets they liked and fancy shiny items that remind him of them. He hires thugs to guard it on a regular basis; anyone who attempts to destroy/vandalize his shrine will get their ass whooped.
♤ Vox denies what happened immediately.
♠︎ He trips over his words, but tries to say how much he loves them one last time. Nobody knows for sure whether they heard him or not, but he’ll tell himself they did, even if it just means he’ll sleep better at night.
♤ He’ll try to fight back against the Exterminators, but struggles to do so; his mind is far more fixated on the loss of his beloved than the revenge he wants to gain.
♠︎ Vox eventually gives up, breaks down.
♤ He can’t handle it. Though he can’t really cry due to having a screen for a head and all, it’s very obvious he would be if he could.
♠︎ In an attempt to survive, Vox flees the scene. He’s simply not strong enough, physically or mentally, to continue. Not now, anyway.
♤ Vox becomes distant from most others because of this. He swears one year, someday, somehow, he’ll avenge his fallen s/o. Though, whenever he tries, he just can’t seem to find enough power to achieve his goal.
♤ There’s a moment of silence. Of shock. Everything seems to stop.
♠︎ And then, there’s a horrifying crack that echoes throughout Hell, followed by deafening static. Alastor’s smile has fallen.
♤ Alastor wants revenge. And he will get it.
♠︎ He destroys any and all Exterminators in his path, and if he kills a few demons along the way, so be it. The streets will be littered with the bodies of those stupid creatures.
♤ There’s a limit to the Radio Demon’s powers, a limit he is very, very great at not crossing. He crosses it today.
♠︎ Alastor goes on until he physically cannot anymore. Until he’s completely drained of all power. He falls to the ground with a thud, and he can’t do anything. He’s exhausted.
♤ His smile eventually returns, with pain hidden behind his eyes. Alastor also eventually gets his strength back, and with that, he’s bitter and angry. He goes on rampages at random, just for the hell of it. If demons weren’t terrified of him before, they will be now that he’s unhinged and nowhere near as composed as he once was.
