You get home from a long day at work and turn on the TV. It’s been a long week, so you think to yourself- maybe i’ll take the family to a movie on Saturday. Maybe we’ll even go on a vacation soon! We could visit museums and go to plays and see all sorts of fun attractions. When you turned the TV on, nothing happened. There are no actors to entertain you. When you went to the movie theater, nothing was showing. There were no advertisements to tell you that anything was showing, so you went to the theater to find out. Nothing playing. There is no one to film and create movies for you. Well at least your vacation will be fun, right? Not like there will be any plays to see and there won’t be anything in the art museums. Well at least you have the shack you are living in that you made out of cardboard and sheets. Not like you could find an architect to build you a house with all the money you’re making as an engineer.

At the backs of sleeping giants, a greater threat awaits us.

This shadow, outstretched. Not of us, but reaching toward us. I cannot flatten my ears to such a fate. Deny my senses, reject what it is I feel. Ignorance to what is, such a thing is not my nature. I was not made to stray from the Dream. What I don't understand is this, this venturing into the unknown, this wanderlust...Makes me wonder...can we ever go back? To what we once knew, what kept us grounded, gave us purpose. As we venture outward, reaching forward so to reap the benefits of foreign realms, do we risk losing ourselves along the way? Will that shadow that is at our feet, the creature that we feel is far greater than we could ever be catch us? Turn on us? Will we willingly allow it to consume us? - Hafren

(This is just a segment of writing written from the perspective of a character of mine that I role-play on Celestial Hills. This is basically her reflecting on the days ahead, beyond the Argon war and the lust for power from pocket realms. She feels a storm is coming. And to those ignorant to the nature of the sleeping giants and the Dreams beyond, there can be only chaos.)
