Hello! Welcome to my writing blog!

My username is Hcdragoncat but you can call me HC/Dragon/Taro ! Friends call me Hay. My pronouns are She/her They/them but I don’t mind dude and bro and such. Those are pretty gender neutral.

NOW TO THE STUFF ABOUT MAH BLOG

This blog is specifically just for writing! I will write Fan things, personal things, and give updates to my book here! At this time I do not take commissions or other such payments for writings.

This is an LGBTQ POC safe space. I will not tolerate transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, or anything of the like on my page! I do my best to make it a safe space, and it will stay that way.

You can ask questions of what I write and what I work on next or what inspires me! I may not message fast here but I will answer.

I am working on my own book(s plural because I have a LOT of writing to decide what to bring to publishing and the like) so any discussions or things shared of that nature will be tagged #reckoning of flowers, #personal things, or #hcfanfics. Anything written that is inspired by artists and their respective characters and AUs will be tagged with their tags in mind.

Lastly I hope you enjoy my writings! I’ve come back to Tumblr because it’s more user friendly then other sites and I like interacting with artists and creators that feed the inspiration pipeline I sometimes ride.

HELLO!!

I am fashionably busy and have so many projects currently in the works! I am such an infrequent online creature at times that I cannot say if I will post much here in between the things im currently working on and work life. But i want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. To everyone that has inspired me here- that has left a kind remark or liked my writing- thank you. You have bolstered my spirit beyond what you may ever know- so I wanted to share something with you all!

My writing class is over but I learned so much in such a short window- and I wanted to share one of the assignments that helped practice voice by writing something completely baffling and having a character treat it like a normal day!

So enjoy this little blurb called Paging Unicorn Specialist.

Sera Tara, jokingly referred to as secretariat by her colleges inside Sunshine Health MD, stared at the unicorn standing in the exam room. The great beast was as typical as unicorns come; white of coat, gold of mane and tail, no obvious showing of gender and one pearlescent horn. Only her patients horn was covered in blood and a small toddler now crawled upon the floor, chewing at a fallen stethoscope. The child was naked and dragging the smocks of what appeared to be her assistant, Gale Mathus, a fresh intern from Medical Magic School.

“What happened?” Sera knew what happened. She was well aware of monsterology and what her magical patients were capable of.

“It was a … mistake.” The unicorns voice replied, bell like and echoing of embarrassment. “I was not expecting a man to be entering the exam room and when he did… I… reacted.”

Sera looked down at her clipboard. A typical floating of teeth was what was placed next to the unicorns name- one Abrathanisus. 500 years old. Identifying at this time as male. Sera looked at toddler Gale and then back at Abrathanisus.

“Goring is not covered by your medical insurance Mr. Abrathanisus.” She clipped. “This will come out of your personal account.”

“But I … I have no money.” The Unicorn sounded pathetically put out like it was he who had been gored and turned into an innocent toddler.

“We have payment plans for these violations. Magical payment plans.”

A sigh.

“How many blessings then?”

I am, in fact, super busy as HELL. Between work, the global state of the world(we are on FLIPPIN FIRE HERE), and my online classes, I have been so busy but-

Dont loose hope

It may feel like all is lost, and the world is a dark and cold place. But the one thing we have is hope and each other. You are not alone in this none of us are alone in this. we do not simply lie down and accept that this is the terms of the world. Hope is something to fight for, and it isn’t every single one of you and every single one of those you love who look to you and also believe that this is not right. So don’t lose hope. We will shine bright when that dark night enfolds us. If it does, we will be the stars, the pinpricks of Hope that glimmer through the darkness. Live in spite of the fear. live in Hope.

We are more connected than we ever were before. They will not keep us down and they cannot keep us down. Keep on living and keep on striving to be the best of you and the best person that you can be. You are a bright flame that can’t be extinguished no matter what they try.

You are allowed to feel disheartened. You are allowed to feel disappointed. But remember to hold hope. We have each other, we have our communities, and we are more connected than ever before. This is just another blip in the history of humanity. A rock in the river that flows forward. You will be ok. We have hope and each other. And love will forever continue on.

IM SORRY IVE BEEN AWAY FOR SO LONG I HAVE JUST BEEN BUSY WITH LIFE AND SUCH. I SWEAR I AM STILL HERE JUST. VERY BUSY (and late life diagnosis of things ((not life threatening)) have revealed lots of reasons why i pop around like popcorn)

It has been — an age since I’ve actually sat down and written anything beyond what i can sneak between work and life. I got a promotion at work which means I have several new responsibilities to take on and a whole team to work with and manage as well! That being said —

I WILL BE WRITING AGAIN. It may just be (for now) my own personal writing and no fanfictions as of yet. I will write fanfiction again but it will branch off and be probably other things that get me inspired.

For now i sign off because it is late and i am tired and have another long day tomorrow to get through.

Im so sorry ive been charting things for my book series to prep for the summer (NaNo camp) and ive been so busy with work.

I promise i am not gone i pinkie promise! Im just - very busy atm. I want to write more fan things but i need to get the ball rolling on my own personal projects as well! I am still here 💜🥹 im so sorry to have worried any of yall.

As new hyperfixations come about and the old ones rekindle i will be writing them (some art ive seen has sparked my brain again)

Cannot Stress Enough how important it is to read Howl’s Moving Castle written by Diana Wynn Jones immediately after watching Howl’s Moving Castle directed by Hayao Miyazaki. When he made the movie he was of course upset with war and thus included it in the film, but you gotta understand. You really Gotta Understand. Every time in the movie where Howl turns the door dial black to travel to an absolutely hellish warscape? You know where that same dial takes him in the book? The Real World Country Of Wales

HELLO FRIENDS HOLIDAY CHAOS IS OVER!

Or - at the very least- as over as it is going to be. There will still be stress and such but i think the storm has passed. I can poke my little nose out of my burrow and start taking a collective look about and branch back into creating.

I have some very exciting news- well. Exciting for me personally. I bought a computer !

For about a year or more now ive been computer-less and writing everything and anything on my phone(like the hobgoblin I am). So formatting and beauty was not something i could see or do for any of my Computer based peeps. I just wrote. I used to write on my old computer- but when it began to get buggy too I migrated to my phone. Then that computer - well…

It kinda imploded.

SO! I made the big decision to invest and bought the little laptop of my dreams. Ive wanted a Mac computer since I was 12 (those old blue desktop ones were SO COOL!)

Im learning the ropes still with it (i legit just got it out of the box two days ago) and feeling it out. I have to get all my apps onto it that I use for writing and then

THEN I CAN LET LOOSE THE FLOOD GATES. I HAVE THINGS RATTLING IN MY SKULL. IDEAS FOR LITTLE FICS, CONTINUING MY FIC, BRANCHING INTO OTHER CONTENT AND FANBASES AND FINALLY. F I N A L L Y. Getting the hardcore draft of my first novel set up. Big plans for 2024. Im ready and excited and i cant wait. This year imma grab it and make it mine!

I PROMISE IM NOT DEAD. WORK HAS STOLEN MY WILL TO CREATE (another year of no NaNoWirMo 😔- I will have to do the camp in the summer) and my ability to string more then a smattering of words together.

Im surviving off of candy, chips and the BG3 fantasy land i fall into at the end of the day (i just keep replaying the same areas with new characters lol)

Im both devouring and being devoured.

Just here to take some news and to say that I hope you're still alright. You're such a good writer, I will wait for more of your stories. (Take your time and take care of yourself 😘). ;-; i am sorry ive been absent from writing stories. It has been so intense at work that I can barely snatch any time to prep for NaNoWirMo. I am doing well - just swamped is all. I will write again i just am needed in so many other things. It is a lot at times. But im OK! I will just be quiet for a time because work.

Tis the season in retail called holiday. Its the time of year where stress comes to call and October usually means one thing: Stress.

Im so sorry i fell off the face of the earth i did not mean to-I know i went to writing something once a week and suddenly POOF! I was gone. Well thats when the holiday madness hit hard.

When stress gets this bad i usually read and try to destress so I dont mess up my mental health. My free time has been spent getting lost in BG3 or reading. Ive been wanting to write but the stress makes my brain spin to fast to put words onto paper.

Dont worry! I will keep writing- just need to wait this one out (omg its nanowirmo next month)

TLDR - Working retail during holiday kills the creative bug in my brain.
