Wilson finally got there. After a full day of dealing with House, mixed in with administering some actual medical care, he hung up his lab coat, left his office, and made his way to the psychology wing
Sol was finishing up some paperwork, having busied himself with it in the hour until Wilson appeared in the doorway of the office. He glanced upward at the sound of the knock, his face lighting up at the sight of his partner.
"James! Hey, how are you?" He asked, standing up from his ergonomic chair and going to greet the man. The setting sun cast a golden glow over the dimmed office of the psychiatrist.
Wilson smiled, leaning in the doorway. “Hey, I’m fine,” he said. “Just tired. You?”
He moved to wrap his arms around Wilson. "I'm fine too," he said lightly, looking up at him with affectionate eyes. "Ready to go?"
Wilson nodded, walking out the door with Sol.
Hi, Uncle Wilson... So, upon fixing your schedule, I found that you take nearly three hour lunch breaks and cuddy wanted me to bring it up to you. (I don't know why she couldn't do it herself and I, too, take long lunch breaks. 🤷🏻♀️)
(ooc//back with another blog? HELL YEAH)
That’s because 2 hours and 50 minutes of that time is dedicated to making sure House doesn’t burn down the hospital.

JAMES hhihihihiihiiii :-)))) hows your day i missed youuuu - @solari-in-psych
Hello Andrew. I miss you too.
"Do you know when you're able to come over for dinner tonight?"
There was a beat before Sol spoke again.
"...Can you come over for dinner tonight?" His voice was suddenly hesitant.
I’ll be done with work around 6, unless House does something.
"Six! Okay, I can... I can check my schedule..."
The sound of papers rustling could be heard through the receiver. "Okay! I'm done at five, it looks like, so... where are you picking me up?"
Where’s easiest for you?
A moment of silence passes as if Sol is in thought, but he eventually gives up. "Can you pick for me?" He asks gingerly, his fingers tapping a rhythm on the desk. Wilson can hear it over the phone.
Well, where are you now?
"My office. Where are you?" He then began to fiddle with the phone cord.
I’ll come get you from there, then.
"Okay. See you soon. Love you."
He didn't hang up quite yet, he waited patiently for James to say it back— he needed to hear it or he couldn't focus for the rest of the day.
You too. See you soon.
Sol hung up the phone with a smile, his heart racing in his chest at the thought of seeing his partner again, even if they still had a few hours until then.
