So uh... hi.
𝓚𝓲𝓼𝓼 — send 💋 for a first kiss between our muses.
-LOUD ANGERY NOISES-
HOW IS MY COWORKER SO CHRISTING STUPID--
@svnsworn asks ' Naoto is gonna smooch his gf, thank u '
One moment, the Lovers was just minding her business--pondering over what she wanted to wear over the weekend while Kanzeon continually processed data related to the TV World in the background. The next? The idol was the target of the most sneaky of attacks against her ability to think about much of anything, Naoto's kiss derailing her train of thought with nigh-surgical precision. Crimson rose to the apples of Rise's cheeks as her lips moved to return the smooch on instinct, famous eyes alight with affection... and, once the surprise wore off?
"Ohhh no you don't--"
Mischief.
"C'mere, you!"
Slender arms were quick to wrap around Naoto's waist, the Lovers pulling him in close with a strength and quickness that belied her petite frame. While he may have given her a smooch, she gave him the kind of impassioned kiss that a sitcom audience would hoot and holler at. Who cared if they were in a semi-public place? Not her, that much was for sure--not when she was in her happy place, in the Fortune's arms. The need for breath was what brought the kiss to an end, a giddy little giggle leaving her as her forehead rested itself against his.
"...mmnh, hi.~"
Another giggle.
"Fine. Make me your villain."

@chibitantei is a monster and a menace... and I adore them for it.

That moment when you delete an ask by mistake--
electricea :
“…”
He had stayed quiet through the rest of the call, not wishing to interrupt the talk between Ann and her father, though part of him had wanted more than anything to just take the phone and give her father a piece of his mind, even if doing so would only mean more harm than good. This wasn’t his family, that much was true - and he knew that if he wasn’t careful with his words, he’d only be speaking dumbly on things that he knew nothing about. Although in his time dating Ann - and being friends with her even longer, there were a few things that he had picked up on here and there. He knew that her parents didn’t seem to be around much and although Ann tried to be understanding and look unfazed about it, he had seen the hurt in her eyes, the disappointment in her posture - even if she tried to deny it, he knew that it still hurt nonetheless - and seeing her so hurt made his own heart ache for her.
“…I’m sorry, I know you were hoping this time, things might be different,”
He had been hoping for that along with her - hell, he didn’t even care if he was also involved in these outings, he just wanted to see her parents home and able to actually spend on some quality time with her - catch up on what they’d missed before it was too late, because really, how long could someone keep putting up with the constant disappointment and letdown? How long could they continue to hope, without eventually giving up entirely. Gently, his hands massaged her shoulders and he leaned his head against her shoulder, keeping her gently pulled against him like this, as he tried to think of something he could say to comfort her.
“We’ll still try our best to make it a special weekend - and it’ll be their loss.”
( @electricea ♥ )
Ann’s voice was as harsh as a crack of her whip the moment the word ‘sorry’ left his lips.
“Don’t--”
A low sound of exasperation left her lips as she shook her head. Hearing him apologize like he was to blame for her parents being too busy to come back to Japan... that only further deepened her heartache. While someone taking responsibility for her repeated disappointment was sorely needed, it was not a burden for her boyfriend to bear. Only two people could do that--should do that. To see the one who had nothing to apologize for trying to step in like that had her shaking her head firmly, her vehement refusal to let him take even a shred of the fall for her parents’ behavior eclipsing her sadness, if only briefly. Ann took a sip of her coffee and a deep breath before her free hand settled on his shoulder.
“You don’t need to apologize, Ryuji. It’s not your fault. I...”
I don’t want to talk about it.
A trembling exhale to steady herself and she smiled, though it didn’t come remotely close to lighting up her eyes. How could it? She was still hurting, and badly at that. It just--dwelling in that pain wouldn’t help her at all, so lingering in it would only serve to ruin the rest of the weekend. While the Chariot hadn’t told her much about what he planned so it could be a surprise, she knew he had put a lot of time and effort into it, and the last thing she wanted was to have... well, all of this lingering over it like a dark cloud. Stealing a kiss from his cheek, her second attempt at a smile was brighter.
“Why don’t you tell me what’s first on the schedule?”
The only thing I know is this: I am full of wounds and still standing on my feet.
Nikos Kazantzakis, from ‘Report to Greco’, tr. P. A. Bien
@fooltrick asks ' "the future's brighter than you'll ever know." ( ann / lyric asks! ) '
"Is it?"
A flaxen brow raised in curiosity as she turned her head to look at her boyfriend, hints of an amused smile playing at the corners of her mouth. Seriously, Hibiki was such a sap sometimes--okay, a lot of the time when it came to her. It was one of her favorite things about him, how his optimism and certainty that things would always work out in the end never wavered. His support was like their love for one another--boundless, and such had her beaming even as she nudged his shoulder with her own.
"I mean, with you... it looks pretty bright as it is. And you're telling me it'll be even better than that?"
Leaning in, her forehead rested against his as she gave him a teasing look.
"Are you sure that's possible?"
"Realistically the smartest thing would be to wait until the storm ends," Tenya stands, arms crossed and gaze focused on the outside, "However, we are unsure Just How Long the storm will last, and it's possible the storm could last until or after curfew, and that would just be bad for us, all things considered at this time," Tenya turns to face Ochako, "But for this moment, the smartest thing would be for me to carry you, it's the quickest way for us to get back to UA and it would be good practice for myself for carrying people in these kinds of conditions, too!"
Tenya then shakes his head, "No. If you're on my back you will constantly get pelted with rain-maybe hail, I cannot allow that to happen to you!" The confidence in his voice then starts to falter when he speaks again, "It, would actually be better if I carried you in my arms, that way you're shielded from the storm from my body to the best of my ability. " His face is red, but his point remains valid.
Tenya guides the two of them outside, still standing under the cafe's canopy to shield them from the rain. He watches as the rain starts to settle and then sets his gaze back on Ochako, "Okay, I believe this is the best time for us to get going, Ochako, are you ready for this?"
As Tenya expounded upon his reasoning, Ochako nodded here and there in response. When he got into explaining things, it was best to simply let him talk--and besides, it was interesting to hear the running commentary on his thought processes. Tenya's mind was so much more analytical than her own, and it seemed like his brain ran as fast as his legs did sometimes. His explanation for why piggybacking wouldn't work with a nod.
"Oh, right. I was thinking I could just, like--duck my face behind your shoulder, but I can see your point. Maybe if I had goggles, but..."
Trailing off, she allowed him to finish explaining what he had in mind. So he wanted to carry h1er in his arms? Okay, so his arms around her waist--no, then she'd be in the way of his legs. Then that meant... oh.
Oh.
A flush climbed to Ochako's own cheeks as she followed him outside, trying her best to keep from fidgeting. The idea of being carried like a girl on the cover of a romance manga was... well, she found herself liking it, which of course brought on more bashfulness. Tenya was her friend, someone she knew she could trust--and giving things romantic undertones would just make things weird. As such, when he turned his gaze back to her, Tenya's gaze was met mostly straight-on, Ochako nodding as she stepped into position in front of him.
"Ready as I'm gonna be."
Her cheeks were just--redder from the clammy air, was all. Yeah.
@healingwords sent in this prompt...
in your arms - from Rise.
for Kanji Tatsumi.
“... Uh, senpai?”
This was — weird. Did she mistake him for Yu or somethin'? Kanji didn't look like Yu, didn't carry the same stoic, leader characteristics, didn't handle an awkward conversation with as much finesse. Were Kanji to count the differences, he'd run outta' fingers, outta' toes, and Kanji's not too sure what else he'd have to count with at that point. Rise's not an idiot, either, she's gotta' head full of smarts... but also, a head full'a Yu, not Kanji.
There's also the issue that Kanji had never been hugged by a chick, either, nevermind being... what even was this, cuddling? Cuddling a girl, guy, anything else had only popped into his head twice in his whole life, and each time he shot it down himself, worries overpowering any meandering fantasies he had going on in that skull of his. He realizes, belatedly, that he probably looks like a dummy, the kind made outta' plastic and posed for fashion and whatnot, all slack-jawed with a dumb look in his eye that only dummies have.
Blink, blink. Awkward cough, a shifting of gazes.
“You need contacts 'er somethin'? Lah... last I checked, this ain't your seat.”
What was it with everyone and thinking that Rise had a crush on Yu?
Not that the Fool didn't have many attractive qualities--he certainly did, from his silver hair to his ability to keep calm no matter what. But then again, everyone in the Investigation Squad had a lot going for them. Yosuke's determination, how Chie moved in battle, Yukiko's borderline unreal grace... even Teddie's sparkling charm was appealing. And that didn't even touch on Naoto's intellect and Kanji's strength, both physical and otherwise! Or how cute it was when the Emperor got all flustered and tried to hide it, or the way his presence made her feel safe, or...
...well, the list, it doth went on.
That list went on so long, as a matter of fact, that the Lovers had found herself wanting to be closer to him, to explore her developing feelings with him. However, for all of her experience in being flirty as a part of the persona of Risette... the real thing was different. Very, very different. While she could play things out like a drama in her head, map out every perfect word, reality wasn't very likely to go along with it. So how in the world did she make a move?
The answer was simple; leave words out of it entirely.
Kanji's confusion was expected, as was her successfully laying claim to her spot on his lap--he hadn't known it was coming, after all. As her arms tucked themselves inside of his eve-present leather to wrap around his torso, Rise marveled at how comfortable he was. As petite as she was, it felt like being snuggled in close was akin to being surrounded by a fortress, one with electrified fences and the strength to keep the world at arm's length. It was wonderful, dreamy even. His cough brought her out of her revelry, an amused smile gracing her lips at his question.
Oh, it'd be so easy to just answer him aloud--but she was comfortable, damn it! And if he's so flustered already... cuddling in closer, Rise nuzzled her face in against the side of his neck. When she did respond aloud, he'd be able to feel her lips moving against his throat.
"But what if I say it is, Kanji-kun?~"
|| starter for @healingwords -- Amane ||
" Look what I found~"
A hint of smugness with a faint trace of audacity coats his words as he leans against the windowsill, arm outstretched in front of him. Held precariously in the air by his hands was a small paper brown bag, a fast food logo clearly printed across the front. After a second or two he suddenly flings it forward, a single red feather darting from his back to help guide it to the nearest table.
" I just found it floatin' around while I was flyin' around and y'know you look like you need some food so you should take it-"
"Didja finally find the ability to knock instead of just showin' up unannounced?"
While there was the slightest edge of irritation in Amane's voice as she turned her head to regard the winged hero, there was also no denying her amusement. There was no point in trying to hide that she didn't just tolerate Keigo--she liked him, enough so to call him a friend. That just meant a certain required level of snark, was all. It was part of the contract.
(Note: there wasn't actually a contract.)
The bag landing on the table in front of her was met with a chuckle, Amane raising a hand to wave Keigo into the room that served as both her living and dining room.
"It's like you've got a secondary Quirk--'Sensing When Amane Is Being A Dumbass And Forgetting To Eat', or somethin'."
A pause.
"...yeah, it needs a better, catchier name, but you get the gist."
Even though he expected such a reaction from Uraraka, eyes opened wide to reflect her own surprise. Awkwardness would often accompany him, in his attempts to approach his classmates, socialize in ways he still struggled to fit into. They may didn't spend as much time together as they did with Midoriya and Iida, but he eventually began to understand, time wasn't the only requirement to feel close to someone. Trust, respect, admiration, were qualities he recognized in her, along with the inner wish to be someone she could rely on.
In the path they had both chosen, many challenges awaited them. Times of hardship, where their limits and resolve would be tested. Shoto, prisoner to the darkness within him for many years, would curiously stare at the light he had only started to discover, when Uraraka would shine, no matter the difficulties. His wish, for his presence to be one she felt at ease to be around, someone to carry part of the weight she held, and to make sure, she'd smile the same brightly in the face of anguish — a strength he never had, and admired in her.
That was the reason for taking such liberty, closing the space usually shared between them, with his gentle hold. “ Would you like to study English together? ” He had heard from Iida, of her worry concerning the upcoming test, and since he had a good knowledge of the language, it only seemed right to offer his help.
(@deibreik ♥)
Developing a relationship was also something that Ochako desired, though the barriers that she had to overcome were different from his own. Socialization in general came easily to the brunette in most regards, but Shoto coming from such a prestigious family while also, admittedly, being rather conventionally attractive... well. It was a challenge for her to act nonchalant, treat him the same as the others when she was all too aware of how she was his polar opposite in those respects. The former was far harder for her to adapt to by far, but the passage of time had done a fair bit to help with both of those factors.
(Well, that and how she was surrounded by stupidly attractive people overall... but that was neither here nor there, ahem. Exposure therapy for the win?)
As Shoto stepped in closer, Ochako regarded him with warm curiosity--and when he offered to study with her on the subject she struggled with most? Her smile was immediate, bright... and, admittedly, more than a little relieved at the idea of not facing that obstacle alone.
"Yeah, that'd be great!"
A nod affirmed her response before she shifted subtly in his grasp. Pulling her arm free of his grasp, she was quick to gently take him by the crook of the elbow--essentially swapping places with him while also making it clear that she wanted him to lead the way.
"Should we head to the library? Ooh, or maybe we should go outside under a tree, enjoy the weather since it's nice out."
Today is a no thought, brain scrampled egg kind of day.
