Hi Guys. Hope you still remember me
I think I was 15 or 16(?) when I made this blog dedicated to Six of Crows. I'm 18 now. I go to uni now and I've found new emotional support characters to help me go through the hardships of college.
Though lately I found myself going back to my og faves (Lunar Chronicles, Six of Crows duology) and wow. When I went back, I found it packed with so much emotions I've hidded in there while I was reading it before. I was very emotionally unstable back then and all those characters helped me throught that, I guess.
I'm doing better now. I've lost friends along the way but that's life. Shit happens. We'll get over it eventually.
Anyway, I learned a lot from my new emotional support characters. Whenever I feel sad, I'd think to myself, "No, stop that. [Insert best boy] wouldn't want you to intentionally skip meals" or "[Insert another fave] would want you to get a good night's rest."
This way of thinking really helped me. I may not love myself that much but thinking about making my faves sad makes me feel :(((
Other things I do include:
Telling myself "It's not impossible; it's just hard." (A quote by my favorite character Bokuto Kotarou from the anime Haikyuu)
Thinking about the hardships my faves went through and how they persevered through it
The fact that my faves emphasized the need to take care of yourself. This includes eating a healthy meal, getting enough rest, taking a break, improving yourself but not at the expense of your wellbeing.
Looking back, I was waaaay worse than I am now. I felt like a walking bomb, ready to detonate with emotional nitroglycerin at any moment. Now, I feel more at peace.
It's been a while since I've last went online on tumblr and I hope you guys are doing well to. If not, I hope maybe you could rethink how you view life? Maybe try to think "Oh no Inej wouldn't want me to harm myself" or "Nina would want me to eat a healthy meal."
Anyway, how are you guys doing?
