“Heeey, I’ve seen you before!” —This place sure has more trainers now than it did way back in time when she popped around. Finally plenty of chances to make friends who weren’t rude guys or evil people trying to destroy the city..

“You’re the champion of … that one region with the big city, right? The city is way bigger than Goldenrod… I saw you on tv once!”

 “Huh? You have?” Did she have a stalker? Had she forgotten someone’s name–?

 …Ah, no. She’d almost forgotten that being a Champion meant that people knew who you were, what with the whole different-city thing.

 “If by big city you mean Lumiose, then you’re absolutely right!” she chimed, turning on that old charm she only used when talking to a challenger. “I’m Serena, champion of the Kalos region, and absolutely loving that cute hat! And you’d be…?”

“Kalos... I’ve heard of that... but I never visited... I’m from New Bark in Johto...” 

And the influx of trainers surely got Kotone smiling, people who would care for the pokemon in the city as much as she would.

“Oh, thanks it was a gift from mom... is my favorite, the name’s Kotone I wanted to be a champion but got stuck in here, I do know Green and Red though! Which cutie did they let you keep?”

❝K - Kotone–❞ She was back, and he wsn’t allowed to feel happy about it as he was reminded that she was mad at him by the swift kick delivered to his shin.

❝O - Ow! Look, the came along with me. I didn’t force them!❞ Growlithe and Pikachu seemed to nod along with his words.

“I can’t believe a Pokemon would be as fool to choose you from many people in this city.”

He was possibly one of the nicest compared to many other people in this place but she still half hated him so she didn’t intend in changing her opinion.

“It’s only fair they let us, the people who have had pokemon since day 1 to control who gets to have one and who doesn’t. Pokemon don’t deserve bad trainers who will turn their backs on them ....”

 “…It just hangs with me, He’s picky like that.” His eyes if possible look even more tired as if he could fall asleep at any moment, but he should recognise this girl, maybe a past champion of the other regions. Who knows.

For Kotone however it was hard to really tell apart from citizens brought from other universes and her own. But the meowth seemed to be very comfortable with the man... perhaps even took him as his trainer already.

“It doesn’t matter... I’m Kotone from Johto... you’re from... uh... my world, right? I realised now everyone can have pokemon so it’s a bit hard to tell apart from one other like that.”

“Hmph!” with rosy cheeks the trainer glanced over the freckled man, it had been quite a long time since she last saw him. 

She couldn’t quite remember what got her so mad at him in the past but she still felt an urge to kick him.

“You’re not allowed to have Pokemon!”

A turn around since she’s never seen this man in the past, who is this stranger?

When the realisation that now anyone can catch a pokemon and this city is largely composed by very rude people so you will probably have to force Silver and the others to create a Pokemon protection squad to make sure people treat pokemon like friends and not tools of destruction.

Why did she call it in such a peculiar way though? It was strange to Kotone...
