as someone who knows nothing about the florida panthers it’s hilarious how the went from winning the stanley cup 2 years in a row to dead last in their division. like what happened lmao

And for people who aren’t familiar:

Luostarinen: great 2-way player and offensive support; key component of the line with Lundell and Marchand that dominated the playoffs

Tkachuk: playmaker, PP driver, energy source; top 20 player in the league

Schwindt: good young player although he’s really here filling a gap

Kulikov: 3rd pairing stay at home defenseman who plays our system better than almost anyone. Makes his partners look good

Gadjovich: 4th line powerhouse. Along with Nosek and Greer they make up what is IMO the best 4th line in the league

Barkov: 200-foot monster, does everything on the ice that anyone could possibly want; top 3 player, argument to be made for best player in the league

Nosek: steady 4th liner (see Gadjo above)

So it’s not just that we lose Barkov and Tkachuk. All these other holes mean the lines are a mess and those players who are out are so important to being able to play our system.

We suck right now but how could we not?
