Does this even count as a worm? It’s certainly supposed to be one… Might be a bit too dragon-shaped, but that’s alright

Average Danganronpa investigation be like:
Kyoko: That’s a corpse.
Makoto: A corpse?
Kyoko: In other words, a dead body.
Makoto: A dead body. . .
Makoto, internally: Not just a dead body, but a body that was dead.
<Yo that guy is dead as fuck] has been added to your Truth Bullets.
Average Danganronpa class trial be like:
Kyoko: Do you remember when I told you about the corpse?
[flashback]
Kyoko: That’s a corpse.
Makoto: A corpse?
Kyoko: In other words, a dead body.
Makoto: A dead body. . .
Makoto, internally: Not just a dead body, but a body that was dead.
[flashback ends]
Makoto: That's right, you said a corpse was a dead body.
Kyoko: Well, there's one other thing you need to know about corpses.
Kyoko: They can't move.
Aoi: Whoa, really? I didn't know that!
Makoto: They can't move...?
Makoto: But wait, then that means...
Somebody else moved the body
Yasuhiro killed them

Tutorial on drawing characters/OCs who have some sort of facial paralysis. It doesn't cover all possible variants because I was using mirror as my main reference lawl
Keep in mind that this is an introductory drawing tutorial and has some generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People 👍
Consider supporting me on ko-fi if you find this to be helpful.

Here’s some exploration sketches
Tried drawing with no thickness and opacity variation and did a very lazy, basic shading study for this one (I only looked at one lighting situation)
Maybe this little creature will be the one to make me post more…
Annnnnd a new one! This is Bold Binturong, my Backwards House OC :)
fun behaviors to give dragons that aren't feline/canine based
cause as much as i love dragons purring and roaring i wish there was just more variety in how they would act
clacking their teeth together to show contentedness/happiness (budgies)
using tails as a defensive weapon in a whip like fashion (iguana)
twitching to express that they're not a threat to members of their species (hognose snake)
feeling calm when eyes are hooded/covered (birds of prey)
head bobbing as a threat display (anoles/bearded dragons)
flattening neck or sides to appear bigger (snakes/lizards)
mantling over food to protect it from hatchmates (birds of prey)
wiggling neck as a courting maneuver (budgies)
audibly grinding teeth as a warning (macaques)
maintained eye contact as a challenge (gorillas)
pounding wings against sides as a threat (gorillas)
slapping other dragons with their claws when their personal bubble is invaded (seals)
hoards used as a site to impress mates (birds of paradise)
snorting when undergoing heightened stress (horses)
making repeated loud noises with surroundings to establish territory (woodpeckers)
loud constant arguments with other dragons when roosting (bats)
building lairs that cause a domino effect of change in the land around them (beavers)
slapping their tails against the ground/water as a warning (beavers)
wiggling tail tip to attract prey (various animals)
wiggling tail tip as a warning (snakes)
plucking or scraping off scales as a sign of stress (parrots)
raising spines/frills as a response to danger and carrying on with their usual business as they believe they're protected (lionfish)
and im not saying canine and feline behaviors are wrong or bad to give a dragon (people wouldn't write dragons with those behaviors if they weren't fun in the first place!) but i feel for creatures that are mythological giant winged lizards that you can do more and get experimental with it. often the more unfamiliar behavior the more dragony the dragon feels

Followed a tutorial and daaaaamn
yo! where do you get your references when drawing paw pads and toes in anthro characters?
I tried to make some sort of tutorial (?) cuz I don’t really use references for the paw pads but thought I could perhaps try to give some recommendations. I got carried away…
could you make a paw tutorial? like how you draw paws?
Looks more like a guide rather than a tutorial, but I hope it’s still helpful
Also, I made a similar post on anthro paws as well if you’re interested
THING!!!!!!!!!!!!! THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Drew this on the WackyWatch site btw if you didn’t know that’s a thing you can do right now. Go do it if you wanna, I feel like some submissions might get used in something. I hope.

Do u have any advice for artists who draw ridiculously slow???
draw faster
jk haha. here's some tips:
1. identify what's making you draw so slow. can't figure out pose/anatomy? too perfectionist about inking? getting caught up in details? indecisive coloring?
2. timed gesture studies. draw a loose figure w photo reference in 10 minutes. do that a bunch of times. then 5 minutes, 3 minutes, 1 minute. train yourself to omit as much detail as possible while keeping the figure recognizable.
3. the dot/line exercise, sometimes called the "target practice" warmup. draw two dots, then a line connecting them. keep moving the dots farther apart while drawing the line as fast as you can while keeping it STRAIGHT (not wobbly!) and hitting the second dot. the line is ONE stroke. it's harder than it sounds. this should help you get an idea of how fast you can make a controlled stroke
4. look up tutorials on coloring more quickly in whatever art program you're using if you do digital art. chances are there's a tool or setting that can make it easier to fill in shapes. i almost never color by hand, i fill bucket everything
5. free yourself of "clean line art"... 9 times outta 10 people think sketchy lines are more visually appealing anyway. it's faster and they have more life. in my opinion at least
6. use lots of references. spending hours on a complicated pose from memory instead of just looking at photo/3D model reference isn't impressive it's just stupid and unnecessary
7. study with intent. if you struggle with leg anatomy for example, do lots of studies from photos (eyeballing and tracing), then try it freehand/from memory, rinse and repeat 9000 times until it's not something you get stuck on when it comes time to do an illustration/comic page
8. less detail. simplify. you can have ultra detailed art or you can draw fast. pick which is more important to you
9. bullshit it... draw ugly and bad but do it fast. done is always better than perfect
10. thumbnail. it's not just for comics. do a teeny tiny sketch of your drawing beforehand with colors. then use it as reference. helps to finish the actual piece faster when it's planned out
bonus: be impatient and easily bored. i rarely spend more than 2-3 hrs on any one drawing, including comic pages. i got other shit to do!!!! like nap
