Anna closed a box of chocolates and pushed it away from her. “No, no, I’m not feeling ill, I’m just trying to save it for later,” she said quickly. She was eager to reach for it once more, but told herself it was for the best.
“And here I thought you’d never put them away,” Heather commented with a disgusted scowl. “You’ve been scarfing those down like you haven’t eaten in weeks. Have some self respect.”

“What?” Isaac said, looking up as the other approached, “What’s the matter? Is something wrong?”
“What’s the matter?” she echoed, innocently batting her lashes as she let her eyes shamelessly trail over every inch of his bare skin with an impressed smirk. “What the matter is is that you seem to be putting on a new shirt,” Heather tone came out hungrier as she took a confident step closer to him. “And that doesn’t make me very happy,” she added with a little pout.

Most days Veronica questioned why she’d ever fallen in with the Heathers, all she’d wanted was for people to leave her alone and now here she was. “Of course, Heather.” She said, faking her smile and following the redhead.
As they walked she took a moment to look over Veronica’s outfit. “Really Veronica? What on God’s green Earth are you wearing?” she huffed. “I thought I explicitly told you that blue was your color.”

“Well, aren’t you quite the spawn of satan today,” Lizzie replied, covering up her insecurities she had over what Heather had just said.
“Today? Oh no honey, I’m like this every day,” Heather insisted with a sweet smile and a bat of her eyelashes. “A little slow, aren’t we Saltzman? Considering it took you that long to make that realization.”

“Sorry, Heather.” The blonde commented, her expression falling at the red heads words. “I mean-…” She began before falling silent when the other hushed her before she even had much of a chance to say anything else. “Not sure how I’m going to bend the world to my will with psychology.”
“Didn’t I just tell you not to be an idiot?” Heather seemed to rumble, like a volcano before a destructive eruption. It seemed to fizzle out soon after her comment but her tone remained authoritative, “Psychological warfare is one of the most dangerous weapons out there. With your degree you will have plenty of opportunities to make the world your bitch. With my guidance even more so.”

“Of course you do.” Veronica resisted the urge to roll her eyes and instead just nodded, ignoring the insult as she always did. “Well then we better get going, Heather.”
“That may well be the smartest thing to fall from your tobacco-kissed lips,” Heather congratulated the other in a patronizing manner before twisting around in a rather commanding gesture, beginning to head to their meeting and expecting Veronica to follow obediently. “Coming, Veronica? We shan’t keep them waiting.”

“Because no one really acts like a real petty bitch after high school.” Buffy commented, a sweet smile on her face despite the words that just came from her mouth. “What you know that through the conversation or do you have some magical elf telepathy thing going on?”
“No one is a bold assumption,” she raised a brow at her with a smirk. “Perhaps I could, but some classic body language was enough to do the trick. They also have seemed to leave promptly. Perhaps from relief of being free of their conversation with you?”

“Anybody ever teach you the definition of uncivilized?” Mélie questioned, raising her brow and folding her arms over her chest. If her twin brother were here, he’d probably drag her away from this, tell her the fight wasn’t worth it. But Arthur wasn’t here, and she sure as hell wasn’t backing down any time soon. “How about hypocrite? Because if you ask me, it’s pretty uncivilised of you to think you’re all high and mighty, and it’s definitely rude. But go on, keep telling me about how rude and uncivilized I am for sticking up for someone. I’d love to hear all about it.”
“Certainly. But it’s not like anyone had to– I haven’t an unsophisticated bone in my body,” Heather insisted with her chin pointed upwards. “Presumptuous or bold perhaps, but not uncivilized. Besides, it’s none of those things because I am high and mighty. Shame you struggle to recognize that,” she replied with a brief shrug of her shoulders. “Sticking up for someone? Please– that person is long gone. You’re still bearing your teeth at me for your own personal gain. What is it– Boredom? Jealousy? Got dumped? Whatever it is, don’t take it out on me and pretend you’re some hero.”

“You’ve truly got worms for brains if you believe a sign will stop people these days,” Heather snapped at the other. “Look into getting security or don’t– that’s your call. But don’t come crying when somebody comes in the middle of the night and vandalizes your precious theatre.”

“Only if I die.” Veronica said, her smile just as sickeningly sweet as the others. “A carrot stick? I’m shocked you didn’t say corn nuts.”
“That would be predictable but I also don’t think I want anybody else hooked on corn nuts. I prefer keeping them to myself,” she admitted with a narrowed gaze, watching Veronica after she had mirrored her expression. “Now are you done being such a pathetic edgelord? We’re meeting Heather and Heather in fifteen. I refuse to be late.”

“Isn’t the mean girl persona supposed to be left where it belongs, in high school?” Buffy questioned, arms moving to cross over her chest as she stared at the red head, “Also, I don’t give a crap if you were listening, what, since I wasn’t actually talking to you. The world doesn’t revolve you, I don’t know if you’ve noticed.”
“Who said anything about it being a persona?” Heather blinked back at the blonde casually. “I would certainly beg to differ, but it’s a relief you weren’t talking to me,” she replied simply. “Although the person you were speaking too didn’t seem all to interested either.”

“Plenty. If you are going to stick around, I’d be happy to regale you. Apparently you are in need of good advice.”
“I’m definitely going to pass,” Heather replied, scrunching her nose up at the other’s willingness to give her more advice. “I’ve got better things to do with my time.”

God, Belle couldn’t stand pompous people and the girl in front of her… well she knew how to press on buttons that the brunette wasn’t even aware she had. “It’s your life to live but things like this have a way of coming back round on you. Being an unpleasant human being isn’t going to do you any favors in the long run.” She stated, moving to rub the black board that was stood outside the shop off so that she could re-write the days information.
“I’ve done pretty well so far,” Heather shrugged contently at what seemed like a vague warning from the other. “Any other life lessons you want to spew on me that I can ignore? You seem to be on a roll today.”

“Aimless whining?” Mélie questioned, a smile curling at her lips. This woman wanted to take out her claws? Well, she had her own set. “Oh, I wasn’t complaining. I was actually just talking about how much I love seeing narcissistic bitches do exactly that. You think you could show me? I’ll go fetch my popcorn.”
Hearing the other girl’s commentary, Heather shot her a glare. “Anybody ever teach you that it’s rude to insert yourself into somebody else’s conversation uninvited like that?” the redhead hissed. “Go on, go fetch that popcorn and don’t think about coming back. I wouldn’t bother putting on a show for only one uncivilized audience member.”

Isabelle allowed the girl to speak before answering with a smile on her lips. “Actually, I completely commend being honest, what I don’t commend however is the need to be wholly unpleasant in the process. Tell the truth but do it in a way that doesn’t belittle others. If you hold honesty in as high a regard as you profess, allow me to be extremely transparent with you right now. Your words and actions didn’t make her look terrible, they in fact cast you in a bad light because you were the one who behaved in an immature and thoughtless manner.”
“While this little lesson in kindness is admirable, Mother Theresa, I think I’m going to stick to my guns,” she replied with a large and clearly insincere smile. “I tell the truth as harshly as I see fit. Whether or not you like it is none of my concern. I couldn’t care less really,” Heather shrugged, appearing very nonchalant. “Are you done? Would you like to get off your soap box now?”
