Hessundiel & Alimna – My OC Reference Sheet 🌟
These are characters who once came to me in a dream. I still clearly remember the feeling when Hess first appeared, curled up beneath a vast, sprawling tree with red leaves. The wind gently stirred his hair as he lay waiting to wake, while Alimna stood nearby, watching over his sleep. Hess is kindhearted, understanding, and always tries to help others. Alimna, on the other hand, was punished by her God for her sins when she was still mortal, and as atonement, she was bound to the young elf as his protector. As pure and bright as Hess's intentions are, so cruel and cold is his spirit helper. She pities no one, and she loves no one. The world is harsh, and Alimna has shielded him from countless dangers. At first, she saw her bond with him as nothing more than an irritating prison. But gradually, he stirred something in her, something close to curiosity, maybe even sympathy. She is bound to protect his body, but her soul longs to break his spirit. She wonders how long this radiant elf can stay pure if every day she tempts him, bends him, and shows him the true filth of the world.
Started working on a reference sheet for my character🌞
I'm thinking about including his spirit companion on the same sheet since they're inseparably connected. I also decided to experiment a bit. Instead of drawing clean lineart over the sketches, I'll just clean them up and go straight to coloring. I'm curious to see how it turns out👀
Lians (My OC)🍃
Got inspired and drew him relaxing in nature 🦎 At this point, it's become somewhat of a tradition for me to draw Lians whenever I create a piece with a background, haha. I'm planning to start working on a reference sheet for my next character before the end of this month. In July, I want to focus entirely on 3D. I'd love to continue learning animation, and I'm also thinking about creating some props.
Sketches🍃
Drew some environment sketches for practice. Since I was drawing everything by eye, the perspective turned out a little questionable🤣 (Side note: I finally made it through the House of Hope in BG 3. That took me a while, haha)
Portrait of Aerin🌟
Sketched a portrait of my fishing OC🐸
Meeting After Time (My OCs)🧩
Decided to sketch one of Bauril's childhood memories.
One of the days at camp🌸
Sketched a scene with my characters. Originally I only planned to practice drawing the background, but it turned into this instead XD
Amkal' - My OC Reference🌞
Amkal' was born into a family that lived a rather isolated life. Her mother was an orc, and her father was a wood elf. They built their home in a rocky area that people avoided and considered unsafe. By nature, Amkal' is bold and determined. Her parents had a past full of adventures, and in the evenings before bed, her father would often tell her stories about their journeys. Little Amkal' listened with shining eyes. From an early age, she believed that her own future would also be filled with exciting events. Her parents supported her ambitions and trained her from a young age. As part of this training, Amkal' would spend several days at a time in the mountains, building her endurance and strength of spirit. One night, during a particularly dark storm, a frightened young girl knocked on their door. She had gotten lost because of the bad weather and was looking for temporary shelter. Amkal'’s parents let her in, and the next morning her father escorted her back to her village, which was quite far away. After returning home, the girl immediately told her father everything. He became furious, gathered the villagers, and soon an armed crowd set out in the direction she had pointed. A few days later, when Amkal' returned from her mountain training, she found the hut empty. There were no signs of struggle, and all the furniture was still in place. The door was closed but not locked. Nearby, on the ground, lay a key. Amkal' picked it up. She felt that something was wrong. For a year, she waited, hoping her parents would return. But eventually, after gathering a few belongings, she set out on her journey. Along the way, she happened to meet Iyrmil. That is how she joined the Order. A bit late, but I finally finished this character’s reference sheet. Next, I think I’ll start working on another 3D bust, and to keep things varied, I’ll also draw some environment sketches on the side for practice. I’d really love to create more large-scale pieces with backgrounds in the future^^
WIP on a ref sheet for my OC Amkal'🌸
Planning to finish it by the end of this week
Drew a piece with a background to convey the atmosphere🌛 After I finish the reference sheet for my next character, I’ll come up with something else^^
Friends?
A sketch of my characters to warm up. Once I finish my current tasks, I’ll start working on a reference sheet for one of the girls🌞
Sketches🌞
Sketched my characters a bit to get back into the flow
Kaeldin - My OC Reference🕷✨
Kaeldin grew up in a powerful and wealthy family. As is customary among dark elves, his entire life in the Underdark was steeped in intrigue and cruelty. From a young age, Kael disagreed with the values of his people, but after several harsh punishments, he stopped openly speaking out. His family mistakenly took his silence for acceptance. Over time, he learned to navigate the system, play by its rules, and achieve impressive results. However, he never abandoned his beliefs. He simply stopped showing them, leading a kind of double life. His younger sister, Eyleiry, was the only person close to him. She was considered the weak link and the shame of their family. If not for her influence, Kaeldin might have become completely hardened. In his own way, he tried to protect her from even greater trouble. When Iyrmil was taken captive by their family, Kael unexpectedly found common ground with him rather quickly. Seeing this meeting as a sign from above and an answer to the questions that had been tormenting him for a long time, he didn’t hesitate to help the imprisoned elf escape. Once on the surface, the siblings finally felt relieved and realized they had done the right thing. They later joined the Vardrfold Order, and from that moment, a new chapter of their lives began. Over time, Iyrmil and Kaeldin became best friends, despite their very different outlooks on life and contrasting temperaments. The dark elf’s suspicion and cynicism were gradually softened by Iyrmil’s kindness and sincerity. (I really dream of making a full 3d model of him and animating him someday :> I also cherish the idea of bringing all my characters into 3d. For now, I need to keep improving my skills. I’ll get there, slowly but surely)
Started sketching a reference for my dark elf OC ^^✨
Eyil (My OC)
Drew a little portrait for the mood today ^^🌸
Continuing my experiments ✨
Did some sketches of my OCs to practice color. Next, I plan to start practicing anatomy and background images 🦎
