The way I see it, is like this. If you're a person of African descent and you don't have Knowledge of Self. Then you don't have anything. Everything starts and ends with Self. No Knowledge of Self, equals No Self Respect. No Self Respect, Equals No Reason to Exist. No Reason to Exist equals No Purpose. Without any purpose one has no direction. They're like a yo yo on a string being slung this way and that way by others who teach them what to think, what to place importance on, how to live, and to deny their own existence and right to think and live according to their historical identity. . . . Jewish people have a culture. Asian people have a culture. They both acknowledge their cultural identity as a way of life which is just as much a part of their life, as breathing air. This is why, in America amongst racism, and disadvantage they're able to succeed. They're not influenced by Western ideals, even though they know it's necessary to live in and amongst this environment. They remain grounded. The enemy outside cannot get within unless there is an enemy within. . . . It doesn't take too much smarts to understand that the Africans who were brought to the Americas to become slaves were stripped of their language, culture and anything of their identity. So today some still ask the question. What is plaguing Black America? It's not hard to understand. As long as Black people accept the spiritual beliefs which were forced upon them, cultural ideals, poisonous food diet, and way of life. They'll never get back into their whole being; spiritually, mentally and physically. Folks have been poisoned, and these genes are being passed down generation to generation.
