      ❛     SO . . .   ❜          he  only  knows  her  from  detention,    a  small  stint  given  to  him  by  strickland,    back  when  he  actually  obeyed  his  orders  and  heeded  his  punishments.      that  was  at   LEAST   two  years  ago,   and  now  that  marty  finds  himself  face  to  face  with   . . .   (   shit,   he  can’t  remember  her  name  !   )    her  for  their  english  project,    he  doesn’t  quite  know  what  to  do.       taking  a  dive  in  hopes  to  run  the  clock  out,     marty  clears  his  throat  and  offers  her  a  shaky  smile,   not  knowing  if  this  would  be  more  or  less  awkward  if  she  met  his  eyes.          ❛     -   i’m  marty.    MCFLY.     marty  mcfly,    which  i’m  sure  you  heard  teach  say  already.     ❜

    MARTY ISN’T THE MOST PERCEPTIVE PERSON IN THE WORLD ,             but  he  likes  to  think  he  knows  his  bandmates  well  enough  to  tell  when  something’s  off.       he  sees  his  chance  to  approach  chris  while  roy  and  dale  run  to  refill  their  waters,    a  brief  intermission  amidst  their  rehearsal  for  prom,   and  seizes  it.        his  guitar  is  still  slung  around  his  shoulder,    bumping  against  his  hip  as  he  swaggers  over  to  her.     he  leans  against  her  keyboard  only    SLIGHTLY,    careful  not  to  topple  it  over,   and  gives  her  his  most  innocent    (   and  most  suspicious.   )    of  best  friend  smiles.
