i’ve been making digital collages on my phone whenever i’m waiting for the bus, waiting for someone or waiting for my shift to end at my day-job. finding it a great way of sketching; immediate and playful.
translating pages from my book (romantiske koordinater og andre mentale holdepunkter, 2016) into images (sketches for prints)
Some photographs from Liencres and Santander, that served as the scenography of the workshop. The air smelled like eucalyptus and seawater. Poems coming.
This past week I’ve attended a workshop in Liencres, Spain. It’s been an intense course, with a total of 56 working hours. Atelier La Juntana, in collaboration with the Architecture Official College of Cantabria and the Polytechnic University of Madrid, was organising the workshop titled ‘Model Making in the Digital Age’ for architects and makers willing to investigate and discover different techniques and materials, while developing an architectural model. Not working within the field of architecture, the techniques and materials could easily be applied in other fields (like my own). I was mainly interested in working with various type of casting, where resin casting was clearly my favourite exercise. It’s such a sexy material! Can’t wait to use it in a different context! Examples to come! <3

Lately I have been using my iPhone as a studio space/sketchbook - and Instagram has really got me inspired to work with photographic collages. They are quite immediate and playful, utilising a online-palette (I’m currently trying to find a better way of articulating this). Somehow I think they could work in the offline world as well, as small prints perhaps.
In addition I’ll share this short excerpt from Cris Kraus’ “ I love Dick”, which I’m currently reading:
“I feel so teenage. When you’re living so intensely in your head you actually believe when something happens you’ve imagined, that you caused it”
