When Scott and Lydia got a hold of Stiles on the radio in 6a, how did Lydia remember what Stiles said? How did her memory start to come back? I'm still a little confused how they seemed to remember him fairly well without really remembering him? If you have any insight, that would be great. I feel like the absence of him was what led to this subconscious remembering, sort of like just answering without thinking. But I'm not sure. Teen Wolf, why you so confusing?

Honestly, I really wish I had a better answer for you but they never revealed this. I guess my personal hope is that hearing her voice made the memory come back and she went “oh! he said this.” I don’t think Scott remembered Stiles at all. So, you’re right about the subconscious remembering, but also Teen Wolf is just written terribly.

the last thing stiles told her was “remember I love you”. you can either view its a confession he had to add before he disappeared, or as the thing he wanted her to remember the most. not his name, face, but his love for her.

as I see it, that was the only thing she truly remembered, which is the reason why she felt so lonely when he disappeared. when stiles asked her “do you remember the last thing I said to you?”, Lydia shows that even though she was actually questioning his existence, she remembered.
