Do you ever YouTube live videos of a band you really love, and just watch the shit out of all the videos? so it’s like you’re at a concert, but in the comfort of your own home. you can just sing along, totally out of key, but it’s ok; cause no one is around to judge you while you do the damn thing.
I never feel fully relaxed unless I’m drinking/drunk. It sucks that I’ve gotten so dependent on it but damn. My brain needs some zen every now and then
HALP
SO I’m really hoping this will be seen by like anyone, cause I don’t have many followers (shout out to the porn bots) - but I’m looking into Ashwagandha capsules or powder to help ease anxiety and stress and I’m looking for any advice or stories on whether it helps or not.
Condensed backstory, even though it seems long: I’ve technically dealt with anxiety since I was 14 but as of last year (maybe longer, who even knows 🙃) it’s actually impacted my health even further. I now deal with high blood pressure, as a result of the anxiety. I had consistent readings ranging from 130-150 over 90-115. My doctor obviously wanted to put me on blood pressure meds after my 2nd visit with high readings, but I was like uhh, nah. I’ve never had an issue with this, and I can almost guarantee you it’s anxiety related.
Instead he put me on Hydroxyzine Pamoate to ease anxiety and also lower the BP. I bought my own monitor as well and took readings all throughout the day, and had it checked at the doc to be sure it was accurate. Shit was totally normal at home - get to the doc office, and it went sky high. I went back and forth with appointments for a solid month and half and eventually he prescribed me Prozac. I’m honestly terrified to take that because A N X I E T Y tells me something will go totally fucking wrong and my brain will be fucked up forever so here we are.
FAST FORWARD - I’ve been lacking on even checking it, but it was high as hell again yesterday after work. normal before I left for work this AM, high AF at work, and normal about half an hour after I got home from work. and why I know (not a doctor, but I know my body) it’s anxiety related is because I have symptoms most of the time which you typically don’t w hypertension. I get flushed in the face, my heart races, I’m irritable, I wanna run away, chest feels full, etc - same exact shit I deal with during anxiety spells/attacks.
SO THIS SHIT SUPER SUCKS, and I gotta do something. I can’t just quit my job. Now I’m terrified to ever go to the doctor because they’ll see a high reading and literally make me stay there until it goes down, WHICH IT WONT. I’ve had to stay in the office for like 4-5 hours on multiple occasions because it’s all fucked up. I’ve read that Ashwagandha helps ease anxiety and stress and I’m hoping someone on here has tried it or takes it consistently and can let me know if it made any kind of difference.
Also kinda needed to vent if you couldn’t tell.
TL;DR: Have you tried Ashwagandha? Has it helped ease anxiety and stress? How long did it take for you to notice any difference?

this is the wholesome pure content we need more of
What a perfect Saturday where I did absolutely nothing at all just so I can hate myself for it tomorrow and then repeat the process every weekend for eternity

Reblog if you still write longhand
at any point in your writing process. That includes freewriting, first drafts, notes, outlines… anything. Just wondering how many people out there are still putting pen to paper. :)

“THRU THESE TEARS” EVERYWHERE NOW
So this is probably a very awkward pic and it’s kind of difficult to even photograph. but I obviously impatiently refreshed Spotify until noon for this to drop, and then the goosebumps happened. I wouldn’t say it’s super “rare” for me to get goosebumps, probably once every few months with music. Nonetheless, I love it when it happens - I’m just fully enjoying what I’m hearing to the point my heart swells and I get teary eyed. Music (especially beautiful music such as this) is so therapeutic. I’m forever grateful that artists out there choose to share some of the deepest parts of themselves with the world. I’m so stoked to hear what comes next from Malibu Nights! I FUCKIN LOVE YALL! 💕 @thisislany
What do famous people think about Brandon Flowers
Robbie Williams: The Killers sound is unique and I think Brandon Flowers is one of the best songwriters on the planet.
Tyler Joseph - Twenty One Pilots: You know what, I want to be the next Brandon Flowers.
Imagine Dragons: Always making Vegas proud.
Paul Banks - Interpol: He's a great great singer.
Nick Jonas: Brandon Flowers of the Killers is really talented. Would love to work with him one day.
Mike Posner: Hey Brandon Flowers ... I just wanted to say I'll buy and listen to anything you do.
Nick Petricca - Walk the Moon: I had this strong sensation of like being at church and Brandon Flowers is like our direct connection to the lord. (...) We got to meet Brandon Flowers when we played a gig in Vegas. I got to talk to him and tell him that his band was the band that made me want to be in a band.
Tom Smith - Editors: Such a soft spot for everything Brandon Flowers does.
Van McCann - Catfish and the Bottlemen: Brandon Flowers sent me an email a while ago because we covered one of their songs in Australia and he said he liked the cover and I was just major buzzing off that. He’s inspired most of the songs in my head.
Dallon Weekes - Panic! At the Disco: Idol? dont know. I def have people I admire. Brandon Flowers. Hes a musician/Mormon/family man and pulls it all off. I try to.
