Is the chapter tranzlated already? Where did u got that pic? Also I disagree with you about acwnr!levi being ooc. Is ur current self the same as your 5-8 yrs ago self? He was younger and had closed friends of course he would be diferent. Besides we saw angry Levi in the manga already, being much like acwnr!levi. snk!levi is older, more mature and more experienced. But he's still essencially the same, just hold his emotions more.

People change a lot more slowly once they’re past adolescence. Speaking from experience here lol (~about Levi’s age~). Of course this is largely subjective and a matter of personal taste. Maybe Levi’s transformation is realistic, but I don’t enjoy reading it.

You do bring up a fair point about Levi’s temper having flared up in the recent manga chapters. I can’t say I entirely understand what even got him so ticked off at Historia. It’s not a character moment that I particularly liked. I prefer his passive aggressive (and somehow more devastating lol) complaints about Eren’s failures, or Erwin’s “gambling” approach.

ACWNR

I can’t be the only one who’s not nearly as enthralled with A Choice with No Regrets as I expected to be. The release of the second OVA just cemented this in my mind even further, hearing Hiroshi Kamiya cry and sob and growl through this OOC mess.

I don’t like Levi being violently angry, violently sobby, violently anything really.

The whole reason I think Levi is a likable but also kind of scary and memorable character is this mismatch between events/his actual emotions and his face.

One could argue that he grew into who he is as a result of suffering catastrophic life events, but ACWNR!Levi just doesn’t even feel like the same person as SNK!Levi to me. They turned Levi’s wonderful perpetual-boredom basal expression into a much more generic angry-at-the-world-emo face. His silky smooth delivery of threats, comforting words, and poop jokes has been transformed into a conventional angry loner tone. If ACWNR were a fic posted by a fan on AO3, I wouldn’t even hesitate to call it OOC.

Also, even though I really enjoy enemy ships, ACWNR!Eruri starting out so incredibly and premeditatedly antagonistically doesn’t mesh with the chill, trusting SNK!Eruri dynamics either.

I know the SNK events take place later.  But it’s only a few years later. So about 1% of Levi’s total lifespan so far /oldness joke.

tl;dr: Isayama is the only canon I enjoy.

*I should clarify that I still watched acwnr2 about five times in a row.
