Do you ever end up completely coordinated when working out?
Forget the Color Run, I want to do this! Neon Splash Dash, come to the tri-state area please lol
Weigh in Wednesday
Last week: 253.4
This week: 252.0
Loss of 1.4 lb
I should be happy about that but I didn't treat myself as well as I should have this past week and I can feel it. My sleep schedule was off so my eating was off and it goes without saying my working out was off. At least I'm aware and eager to change it :)
Someone that I follow on Twitter said:
“As a runner, I feel like someone just attacked my friends. As I person, I am just horrified.”
That’s it. That’s it. My heart is so heavy right now.
I’m a whole mix of emotions right now…keeping all of our fitblr friends and every single Boston runner/spectator in my thoughts and prayers.
Thoughts and prayers with everyone running the race, viewing the race, in the area, etc. So senseless, so horrific.
I'm still just speechless staring at my TV.
i feel pretty today so i guess it counts as a good day. happy friday :)
I've never done one of the programmed workouts on my elliptical so I decided to try it out today. Holy. Crap. It slaughtered me and I loved it.
Weigh in Wednesday
Last week: 252.6
This week: 253.4
Gained .8 lb
It was to be expected since it's ~that week~ so I'm not too upset. Working for back down next week.
Weight Watchers website is driving me nuts though, it won't let me onto the login page. Ugh, I need to track!
Made some necessary purchases at Target over the weekend. I had to buy new 5's because (and seriously, who does this?) I lost one of mine.
My face is breaking out and my weight went up - hoping it means what I think it means so I can not freak out lol Not going to change anything I'm doing though since I know I'm being good. Oh, and since one of my goals this month is to treat this week like any other (assuming it is that week).
hey fitblr,
what is your favorite sock to work out in?
You just stir natural peanut butter around to make it not look gross, right? And then it tastes yummy? Seriously because every time I look at it I'm like ick but know I should switch lol
I've been sluggish today. I didn't feel like getting in a cardio workout so I compromised between the need and desire and did arms. Afterward I was really tired and bummy. I ended up eating an ice cream sundae, justifying it by my inability to meet my daily goal/cap on WW and never even coming close to touching the 49 weekly points alotted. Still, I should have made a better choice. My body taught me that lesson less than an hour later.
Proof that I didn't even need that eating clean makes me feel so much better.
(PS the sundae was actually frozen yogurt and had peanut butter so at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been lol)
It's only weird because its unfamiliar to you. Think about how frequently you need to squat in your normal activities! Form is the most important part of getting benefit from any exercise, so it's worth it to make sure you're doing it right :) Eyes forward, shoulders back, feet spread at least shoulder-width and toes slightly pointing out. Lower the booty down past the knees and push back up with all your weight in your heels - not your toes. I'm sure you could find vids on YouTube, also :)
That's really true and those are good things to focus on - thank you :)
Squats
I do squats in my routine of weights and abs and what not but I want to get serious about doing them more. Thing is, I don't know if I even have proper form. I feel like I do but I've never watched myself do it. I probably should (watch in a mirror) but I feel really strange about watching myself workout. I workout in my own house and I'm afraid I'll embarrass myself to myself. How weird is that?
