okay coffee shop and fantasy aus are good and all but can i p l e a s e have a perfectly normal au in tekken where the mishima family is an actual and non-dysfunctional family??? whether or not the family has literal demon blood running in the family, i just wanna see them have good communication skills and learn how to trust each other for onceย
call me greedy, but these are the things that i desperately want to see:
kazumi marries heihachi out of pure love, but she suffers a chronic illness and eventually dies after succumbing to the extent of her disease
heihachi brings it upon himself to raise kazuya as a single father, working alongside his own father jinpachi to strengthen the mishima zaibatsu
heihachi and jinpachi both train kazuya mishima-style karate as per tradition, but itโs also to just equip him with the necessary self-defense skills
after bumping into a young lee who unsuccessfully tried to pickpocket heihachi who was visiting hong kong for a business trip, he decided to adopt the poor child and raise him as his own alongside kazuya
jinpachi is the doting grandfather who spoils his grandkids with too many gifts that he would get after every business trip while heihachi tries to discipline his children (but he fails bc they know heโll never really be strict with them lol)
kazuya and lee being actual siblings and having the usual bickering (lee barging into kazuyaโs room in the middle of the night to borrow his charger and them pushing each other along the way to the car to call for shotgun, etc.) but they both know they have each othersโ backs no matter what
kazuya will probably study business and international relations while lee studies mechanical engineering and computer science in college (and itโs at a class for international relations that kazuya meets jun)
kazuya is the first to marry! jinpachi is crying incessantly, heihachi tries to smile the best he can, and lee is kazuyaโs bestย man during the wedding
jun is welcomed warmly into the family as wang jinrei, her mentor and legal guardian, is already the best of friends with jinpachi
lee is fine not marrying yet as heโs busy starting up his own company, violet systems, in order to create more advanced technology for the growing demand around the world (but he is dating anna, whoโs a student who attended the same internship as he did one summer)
sooner or later, jin is born and jinpachi could die at this moment out of pure joy while heihachi congratulations his son and daughter-in-law by offering a name for the baby (thatโs how iโve always wanted to have jin namedย :D)
lee insists that heโs the coolest uncle in the world, but we all know kazuya is dying a little inside out of second-hand embarrassment lmao
jin looks up to all of his family members, but heโs come to respect his father the most the moment he was told about kazuyaโs tragic pastย (and he respects jun much more than he had before for fear that she might go just like his grandmother did)
as for lars, i donโt want to change the fact that heโs heihachiโs illegitimate son, so iโll leave at the idea that heihachi had no idea lars existed at all until he gets a letter from larsโs mother explaining the situation (heihachi probably fell for larsโs mother during one business trip almost a year before he married kazumi)
it was pretty awkward having lars get acquainted with the rest of siblings, but the other two harbor no ill will and just accept him as one of them (kazuya learned from his mistakes of sometimes outing lee when he first got to know him too)
as jin goes on to high school at mishima polytechnic, heโs constantly embarrassed whenever heihachi waves at him cheesily (โthAtโs mY GrANdSoN!!!โ) or whenever lee arrives to showcase his companyโs works at the schoolโs annual technology event (โthAtโs mY NePHew!!!โ)
but jin comes to learn that high school is really fun, considering how heโs a straight-a student and becomes quite the ladiesย man (people think heโs really cute because of his gentle and quiet demeanor, but itโs really bc heโs ridiculously shy)
jin also makes a ton of good friends, of those obvious are miharu and xiaoyu whom he actually came to like a ton to the point that he would be flustered whenever he hangs out with her (oho? a romance is blossoming in this fine spring air~)
jin is also acquainted with asuka since theyโre cousins through his motherโs side and they always say hi to each other whenever they see each other in and out of school
and i suppose thereโs one time that hwoarang comes to mishima polytechnic as a foreign exchange student and becomes best buds with jin, despite the extremely awkward first meeting (โcool, you like xyz? i do, too! whatโs your favorite album of theirs?โย โโฆโย โโฆโย โโฆโย โโฆuh-โย โsorry, i donโt actually have a favorite albumโฆi just like their songsโ) but he finds it kinda adorable that jin is so flustered all the time and sometimes see the spark in his eyes whenever he talks about something they like
the brotp spar at the mishima mansionย whenever they have spare time, and of course jun showers them with warm drinks and snacks so that they have plenty to eat and be energized (ily mama jun!!!)
itโs gotten to the point that the brotp have frequent sleepovers, alternating each othersโ homes for the place to have them (one unforgettable time was when jin invited them to the mansion for the first time for a sleepover and they literally slept like babies after exploring all that the gargantuan house had to offer lol)
hwoarang eventually leaves, but he stays in contact with xiao and jin and even meets up with them after they plan a little reunion to visit him in korea
soโฆyeah, this is the perfect au iโve had in mind for some time, maybe for some almost eight years tbh whew. i still need to add more tidbits about lars bc he matters too!!! overall, these are a few things iโd always hoped for the mishima family to become :,)
